I've been informed that it's been over a month since I updated. Oops. I suck lol. I'm trying I promise. One day I will have a consistent upload schedule. Hope you enjoy!

There is something odd about having your boyfriend and your friends all sit at a table in a dark corner of the local pub. It wasn't the first time they had all sat together, but it was the first time outside of school that they were all together. It was making Isaac feel all strange watching his boyfriend and friends interact in a normal setting. Caggie and Jake were in a very intense arm wrestle competition. Caggie was holding her own pretty well, although Isaac was positive that Jake was not fully committing, giving Caggie some hope that she didn't suck.

What was making the whole thing even stranger was that Gabby and Kaya were sitting together looking like a proper in love couple. Even though, Isaac knew they were dating, but he hadn't really seen them acting like this before and as cute as it was, still kinda strange to see it in front of him. He just wasn't used to it. He was happy for them more than anything. They both looked happy and after everything that had happened to Kaya, she deserved a little bit of happiness no matter how much it throwing Isaac off. He'd get over it.

Isaac looks over at Jake. He can't help but stare at him. He's gorgeous and now that they're out and everyone knows, Jake seems to be even more into him. Which is great, Isaac loves it and that's the problem. Isaac is fully aware that he's in love Jake and he's constantly worried that he's going to tell him at the wrong. He's not even sure there is a right time. Jake has some how come to be one of the most important people in his life and his worst nightmare is he ruins it with Jake.

He can't even think about it without his stomach turning. Isaac's terrified that if he tells Jake that he does love him that he would laugh in his face and leave like every other person who was supposed to love Isaac back. It was too much. It was scary. Isaac couldn't afford the therapy he would need if Jake rejected his love confession. To be honest he needed therapy just to process the idea of loving someone like that. He hadn't really ever been in love with someone like he was in love with Jake. It was a very stressful time in Isaac's life.

Jake wins his arm wrestling competition with Caggie, who's more than happy that she lost, munching on chips that Jake had brought. Jake turned to face Isaac smiling at him. Isaac smiles back, he can't help but grin at him. He's so in love with this guy it's ridiculous. Isaac leaned forward pressing his lips to Jake's quickly before feeling his face flush and trying his hardest to look at anyway other than Jake. Jake laughs in his ear before pulling Isaac in close to him. He presses a kiss to Isaac's cheek before turning back to Caggie and chatting away.

Isaac spends the rest of the evening not really saying much just watching his friends and Jake interact. It was nice and gave Isaac a warm content feeling all through his body. He was really happy for the first time in ages. Then when Jake tangled his fingers in his, pulling him out of his seat and out of the pub. They ended up in Isaac's car, not evening going anywhere just staring at each other. Suddenly, Isaac feels and overwhelming urge to tell Jake how he felt, but before Isaac can even open his mouth to say the words, Jake's phone starts going off loudly, yanking Isaac away from that idea.

"It's Elliot, the boys are going over to his wants me to go too." Jake says reading the text before looking over at Isaac.

Isaac wants to take the piss about Jake calling his friends the boys. Even though, he doesn't want Jake to leave. He wants to spend all his time with Jake, but he knows that if it was the other way round, Jake would be telling him to go spend his time with his friends. So, against his better judgement, Isaac was going to do the right thing.

"You should go." Isaac tells him, he immediately regrets it, but he liked Jake enough to do it.

Jake beams at him, it gives Isaac that warm fuzzy feeling all over. He would happily spend the rest of his life making Jake look at him like that, "You sure? We're hanging out right now. I can tell Elliot to fuck off."

"As much as I would love to see that, you should go be with your friends."

Jake laughs, leaning over to press his lips to Isaac's. He pulls away smiling, it such a good look on Jake, it makes Isaac want to tell Jake that he loved him. He did, he really did and that was insane. It scared Isaac to no end, but it reassures him so much because Jake cares about him too. What more could Isaac ask for? No one had ever loved him like that before. Sure, his friends loved him, Isaac had never doubted that, but Jake was different. A good different. A welcomed different. It terrified Isaac, but it excited him too. That just the thought of them being in love together was incredible.

Isaac drives Jake to Elliot's house. Jake kisses him before he leaves the car promising, that he'll take Isaac on a proper date. Just the two of them and that's all Isaac truly wants. He'll wait for it because at the end of the day he'll know it'll be worth it.

He watches Jake disappear into Elliot's house, before driving away. He doesn't want to go home. While his dad is actively avoiding him, he still didn't want to be around him. His dad was depressed drunk which was somehow worse than angry drunk, Isaac knew how to deal with it, depressed was not. Isaac decided he was going to go to the one place he could go that was away from his dad.

He'd been climbing through Freddy's window since he was a kid. It used to be a lot harder and a lot longer, but now he had it down to a tee. The most annoying part was clinging onto the the ledge trying to get Freddy's attention to open the window. Today, Freddy was sitting at his desk so it didn't take long for him to notice Isaac.

"Aren't you supposed to be on a date?" Freddy asked, helping to pull Isaac through the window.

"Fucking Elliot." Isaac mumbled, falling down into Freddy's bed.

Freddy laughed, sitting back down into his desk chair, "Your boyfriend's got a side piece or does that make you the side piece?"

"Fuck off." Isaac kicked his shoes of pouting, "He's not my boyfriend."

That seemed to shock Freddy, "What the fuck do you mean he's not boyfriend?"

Isaac groaned, "He haven't actually talked about it yet."

Freddy rolled his eyes, moving to the bed falling down beside Isaac, "You're going to ask him, right?"

"I don't know. I was kinda waiting for him to mention it."

"Why?"

Isaac knew that Freddy knew exactly why he didn't want to bring it up. He didn't want to hear what Freddy was going to say next. They'd had this conversation a thousand times before. He didn't want to hear it again.

"Freds I don't want to talk about it." He pleaded.

Freddy looked at him, all sad eyed. Isaac hated that look. The look of pity, the one where Freddy wished Isaac had better. The better life that he thought Isaac deserved. The life Isaac was sure he was never going to have.

"You should tell him about Simon."

Isaac froze. He couldn't deal with this conversation, not at all. Not with everything that had been going on. He hadn't told anyone, not even Freddy and he needed Freddy to stop talking about it. It was making it worse.

Isaac decided that maybe he should tell Freddy the truth about everything get some advice, "Can we just catch up. No talking about Simon or Jake, just me?"

Freddy turns on his side facing Isaac, "Always."
