I sat in a taxi fiddling with my fingers. The driver reeked of tobacco and trash. Percy, who was sitting beside me, wouldn't sit still because of his ADHD. The escape out was narrow but somehow we had made it. They would be looking for us though. The taxi driver stopped in the middle of the vast forest, we gave him money, and he sped away.

"Hey, Percy," I said smiling.

"Yeah, (Y/n)?" He asked turning towards me.

"I never got a chance to tell to tell you this... but I love you too. Thanks for helping me escape."

He blushed, "no problem, (Y/n)."

"Percy?"

"Yeah?" He responded.

"I was wondering if you'd like to do a re-do date."

"Of course, I would." He tapped his foot anxiously. "I wasn't sure you'd forgive me."

"I really like you, Percy... maybe even love. Of course I forgive you. My feelings for you somehow justify your actions."

We got out of the taxi, paid, and raced to Thalia's tree. I plopped down with my back against the tree. Percy sat beside me. I leaned against him, my head on his shoulder.

"I love you, (Y/n)."

"I love you too."
