When we arrive to the Cullen residence, everyone looks our way or more like my way when I carry in a newborn baby. "Why do you have a baby?" Edward demands

"Watch your tongue" Caius snaps, keeping an arm around me "disrespect my mate and I will destroy you" looking at Bella he scowls making her shrink back in fear.

I look over at the twins "Jane? Alec? Would you like to meet your new baby sister?" They look to each other then to me, they come over and look down at the sleeping baby in my arms.

"What's her name?" Jane asks after a minute, she and Alec just stare at the baby.

"We haven't decided yet" I inform them

"Where did you find her?" Alec asks "why is there blood on her?"

"She's a newborn" Caius informs them "she's about...twenty to thirty minutes old if we had to guess"

"She's so tiny" Jane strokes the baby's face, the baby wakes up soon and we see her beautiful purple eyes around it "interesting eyes"

"Yes" I smile "yes they are"

"Can I hold her?" Jane asks

"Let me clean her up first" I explain "also fed, Jane? Alec? Could one of you head to the store to get some baby formula and clothes?"

"I'll go" Jane leaves, when I step aside I see the Cullens stare at us.

"What?" I snap

"Annika" Carlisle comes over "since she's a newborn maybe I could check her over since she's"

"No" making it clear "like yourself Carlisle I studied medicine, specifically pediatric and neonatal medicine so I am more than capable of taking care of my newborn daughter"

"Of course" he nods his head walking away.

"Now" walking away, I go over to the bathroom to get the baby cleaned.

The Cullens watch Annika carrying the newborn to the bathroom to have her cleaned up. Caius pulls out his phone, looking at Alec "make sure no one harms your mother or sister" Alec nods his head, going to the bathroom door he stays on guard.

Caius walks outside and up into a tree keeping an eye on the Cullens from his perch, calling the Volturi castle the human receptionist soon answers "hello" she answers

"Put Aro on the line" Caius doesn't let the human say anything else, he hears the heels click on the floor before the knock of the throne room doors. When they open the human goes towards Aro and Marcus who are reading.

"Juliette" Aro acknowledges "what can we do you for you dear?"

"Master Caius is on the phone" Aro holds his hand out and Juliette hands over the phone.

"Caius" Aro pleasantly says "how's Forks?"

"Annika and I are adopting a newborn baby girl" Caius doesn't beat around the bush, he cuts straight to the chase. Aro who was listening looks at the phone and checks the volume before putting the phone back to his ear thinking he misheard Caius.

"I'm sorry" he closes his book "but did you just say"

"I said Annika and I are adopting a newborn baby girl" he explains how he and Annika came upon the child "Jane is currently getting some baby supplies as Annika cleans up and gives the baby a check up"

"We'll make sure a nursery is built" Marcus looks over at Aro confused hearing the word nursery, all the vampires in the throne room are "have fun" hanging up the phone Aro hands it back to Juliette "go away" she bows before leaving.

"A nursery?" Marcus asks finally after some time when Aro just went back to reading.

"Caius and Annika found a woman who had just given birth" Aro informs Marcus "the woman didn't survive but the baby did, now they adopted her"

"Annika's idea, I'm sure" Marcus says after a few moments.

"Yes" chuckling "though it will be interesting having a human be raised here"

"Yes" nodding his head in agreement "yes it will"
