Everyone looked at me waiting for something so happen.
"I- okay haha we got it Cheong-San you can tell us the truth now." I said rolling my eyes.
"No, I'm serious Y/N." Cheong-San added.
I swallowed my salvia. I don't know how I feel, I mean I know I have a crush on him, but he confirming that he likes me back scared me.
What if this was a sick joke, and I confess back and everyone laughs at me because of it.
I stood up tidying my skirt and went to the corner of the roof looking down at the clueless zombies roaming around.
I sighed, does he-
"Y/N"
Of course I recognized his voice, and turned around immediately.
"I'm sorry, you don't have to like me back."
I looked down avoiding his gaze.
"I really do like you y/n."
I looked up at him tears filling my eyes. I ripped my name tag off catching his attention.
"I like you too Cheong-San" I admitted. I handed him my name tag making him smile, which I returned gladly.
His eyes stared at my lips, his hand grabbed my waist tightly as he pushed me closer. I grabbed the back of his head slowly leaning in.
"On-jo!!"
I looked over at Nam-Ra calling out for On-jo.
Gwi-nam?!
He grabbed On-jo making Cheong-San let go of me and run at him.
Gwi-nam returned the gesture pushing Cheong-San to the ground, he groaned in pain as gwi-nam was pushing down with his thumb, damaging Cheong-San's eye.
Without a second thought I tried pulling gwi-nam back, only causing me to be pushed back, hurting my back.
Fuck what is the problem with my back.
The girls came over to my side taking care of me, but all I could care about

was Cheong-San.
Su-hyeok punched gwi-nam making him fall back, and they started to fight.
Gyeong-Su came to Cheong-Sans rescue and started beating up Gwi-nam.
I stood up helping Gyeong-Su.
"AAAAAAH"
omg
He fell down the building,
Gwi-nam fell down the building!!
I looked over at nam-ra who seemed to be shocked by her own abilities.
She pushed him down and saved us all.
"Are you okay?"
Cheong-San approached me worriedly checking for any heavy wounds.
"⁸No.. I'm fine" I slightly smiled making his worried expression dissapear.
He stroked my cheek, softly smiling.
Istg his smile is making me fold.

We all sat at the fireplace when a helicopter approached hyeosan high-school
"HEY!! RIGHT HERE!"
"HEY HEY"
"OVER HERE"
We all yelled in an attempt to make the helicopter notice us.
We must be really lucky today.
"PLEASE HELP!
we started waving around with fire watching the helicopter approaching us slowly.
"DOWN HERE!!"
"HELP PLEASE"
We all hugged each other and yelled in victory we have been struggling for so long.
A wave of happiness filled me excitingly as I watched soldiers climbing down the helicopter.
"Get down!"
The soldiers pointed the gun on us.
Bruh
"Can you please help us?.." Dae-su asked.
"Face down on the ground! Get down!"
We all obeyed not taking the risk of getting a bullet in our head and lowered ourselves.
I shivered afraid to not even trusting our own humankind anymore.
"They are only checking if we are zombies, don't worry." Cheong-San comforted.
Fuck, what about Gyeong-Su and nam-ra?!
They all used devices to take our temperature.
"Clear."
As they moved on to nam-ra I shared a scared look with su-hyeok.
"Tempreture is 34.5."
My heart stared to race...oh no..
"Same here." The other soldier informed, taking the temperature of Gyeong-Su

"Providing a warming blanket."
They got Gyeong-Su and nam-ra blankets making me sigh in relieve.
"We are gonna rescue you once the mission is completed. Clear."
"It's okay now" Cheong-San assured.
"You can get up now." The soldier commanded making us stand up.
"Are you the only survivors?"
"We don't know." I slightly hid behind Cheong-San grabbing his hand, which he held onto tightly.
"There are probably others."
"Allright, we will look for them."
They started heading towards the edge of the roof, getting ready to head off.
~----------------------------------------------------------~
We were finally allowed to get onto the helicopter and ji-min went first.
She was attached to the soldier heading up the rope.
"Say again. Did you mean everyone?!"
The soldier spoke into his headset, shocked.
Uhm.. what is going on?
"But their temperatures are fine."
Oh no... what is going on...
"They're just children!!."
He looked over at us.
"Understood. Over."
"What's happening?!"
"Wait a minute."
Ji-min was put down again.
"Please pull me up again!!!"
"What is happening please"
"Can't you take at least on of us?!"
And that's when he started shooting.

Courier
Zoe Blanco moved to New York after fleeing the small town she grew up in and the Purity Church that controls it. The Church believes in keeping humanity pure. This means none of the NanoPCs known as Frames or any other cybernetics that most of the rest of the world uses and enjoys everyday. Upon arriving in the Big Apple, Zoe is picked up by her cousin and witnesses a courier weaving their motorcycle through traffic. Zoe envies the courier's freedom. Couriers transport data and on occasion small objects for anyone willing to pay the price. Secured delivery is guaranteed and no questions are asked. Like having a human servant in this corporate owned world, using couriers is seen as a status symbol for the wealthy and corporate elite. New York's criminal underground uses couriers for similar reasons. This gives the hundreds of couriers in NYC steady work. After weeks of not finding a job while living with her aunt and cousin, Zoe turns to her slicing skills to steal credits from the Purity Church and turns to the mob so she can get a loan to pay for the internal secure storage space a courier needs and a frame for herself. After making an unlicensed run or two, Zoe finds employment with a transport company and truly starts her life as a courier. This story is a mix of light scifi, cyberpunk, slice of life, a dash of action, and a smidge of fantasy. Slicing is what hacking is called in this story. Credits are currency in this story.

Advent of the Mindfire Mage: A Challenger's Return Story
Updates MWF, 6PM EST! Not so long ago, a story was posted on Webnovel, one that fired my imagination unlike almost anything before or since. It was known as The Challenger's Return: Rebirth of the Rainbow Mage. However, 150 chapters in, the author NightWind, who I'd personally interacted with and begun to consider a true friend, vanished from the internet without a trace. And so, I have acted upon my fervent desire to pick up his torch, to refuse to let his world that stirred such passion in me die. Read below about my own take on The Challenger's Return. Was Lheticus summoned to the Tower by chance, or by choice? Either way, with the new power he wins, he won't hesitate to burn anyone who seeks to keep him from his true love to cinders, and with a unique ability of the highest potential, he may just succeed, but he's just as likely to burn himself down. And as it turns out, the latter case may be woven into his very destiny...can that destiny be changed? And if it is, what will be the repercussions for the Tower? (You may want to read a fair amount of the original Challenger's Return before starting this, as, particularly in the early chapters, many things that are laid out in it are glossed over in this story.)

My father scolds me sharply. I flinch at the anger in his voice and quickly retract my hand, inches from the trunk of the tree. "Sorry father, I couldn't help it. The trees are just so beautiful," I whine turning towards him. His face softens slightly and he scoops me up into his muscled arms. I wrap my small arms around his neck and bury my face into his shoulder. He hugs me tightly and carries me away from the forest. "Why can't we go into the forest?" I ask, looking over his shoulder to see the red and gold leaves slowly disappear from view as we climb the hill. "The forest is a dangerous place," he sighs. "How can something so beautiful be so dangerous?" I mutter in confusion. "The danger is in its beauty."**Cover by SodaliteSilver**
