I covered my ears in fear, goosebumps covering my body.
Cheong-san put a hand on my shoulder reassuring me that im okay.
The soldier shot in the air.
"Rescue us." Cheong-San breathed, his voice Cracked in disappointment.
"I'm sorry." Was the last thing the soldier said, before climbing up the helicopter.
We watched the helicopter flying away, once again leaving us, like everyone else.

We all stood under the rain opening our mouths, letting the rain enter our mouth.
What started as laughter, turned out to be tears. We all cried together, wondering how we will survive this torture, Living hell and the feeling of wanting to throw up at any second now.

"If we manage to reach the mountain, we can make it all the way to Yangdong." On-jo started, "I've been hiking there a few times with my dad."
She must be so worried about him.
"But still... isn't this suicide?"
"I'm not going I'm scared. What are we going to do if the Zombies catch up to us."

We all quietly sneaked down the stairs, the halls being quiet... too quiet.
The only sounds we could hear, where our footsteps.
"Wait!" Someone whispered.
"Can you see them?"
Down the last steps of stairs, Zombies where feeding on a human body when suddenly thunder appeared, Throwing them out of concept.
They screamed running around cluelessly.
"It's gone"
We all continued, when Joon-yeong stumbled down the stairs, Causing noise.
I shut my eyes closed scared.
"Ready?" Cheong-San said making me open my eyes.
And suddenly we took off.

We squatted behind a plant, keeping lookout when Cheong-San spoke to me.
"I'll lure that Zombie and go over that way, then you run."
"Bruh ain't no way."
"I'll lure that zombie and you ca-"
"Bro you dumb I understood you."
He stared at me staring.
"We'll go right along the wall here and cross over there." I explained.
He just looked at me.

We told the others the plan and walked along the wall.
What the hell?
Cheong-San stood up from behind the truck we were hiding at.
He was just staring at something.
He then tried climbing over the truck, causing me to pull him back instantly.
"There is another Zombies there!!" Dae-Su yelled beating the Zombie.
I stood up.
"Stop it." Cheong-San gasped.
Oh my god.
They were beating up his mom.

This story is the first serious fiction I ever wrote, so while criticism is definitely welcomed, keep it polite. I'm going to rewrite the first few chapters at some point, since they're not as good as my later ones, but I'm focusing on my current chapters first. I don't have time to do both yet, since I'm also in the middle of my exams.
