Taehyung jumped lightly when the sound of the front door closing filled his ears, making him quickly place the picture back between the sun visor.
He cleared his throat softly as Jungkook opened the door with a big knitted blanket in hands.
"Let me just throw this in the back." He smiled as he shoved it into the backseat.
Taehyung smiled as if nothing had happened, although he could not stop thinking about it.
He could not imagine a time when Hoseok and Jungkook were friends, especially now that they were practically at each other's throats.
He remembered the bright smile on Hoseok's face, whereas now he was always serious or sporting an evil smirk.
He still had not seen him since the car race but the memory was enough to send shivers down his spine.
Taehyung's curiosity ran deeper with the unfamiliar male, the one with the deep set of dimples.
He wondered if they were still friends or if they had parted ways sourly like Hoseok and Jungkook.
He assumed if they were still close, Jungkook would have mentioned him by now.
Maybe it was a sore subject.
Taehyung contemplated whether he should mention the picture he had found to Jungkook but decided it was better to leave things as they were.
"We are here."
Jungkook cut off his thoughts, making him look around for the first time to see a huge screen in the middle of a busy parking lot.
He could see plenty of cars already claiming their spots, teens crowding around their trucks with beers and chips in their hands.
He stared at them with wide eyes as they passed by a small crowd, slightly ducking his head when they turned to look at the incoming car.
His cheeks flushed as he grew embarrassed, looking at Jungkook who was chuckling softly at his actions.

In the end they parked a little towards the middle but still pretty far back.
Jungkook offered to go pay for the tickets while Taehyung waited in the car for him.
Taehyung sighed softly as he looked out the window, watching through the rear view mirror as Jungkook walked towards a crowd by a dirty white car, fist-bumping a guy with a low ponytail and tattoos all over his arms before making his way to the ticket booth.
Taehyung bit his lip softly, watching the intimidating looking male a bit longer until a loud knock on his window made him jump up in his seat.
A small squeak left his lips as he turned to see a tall, dark skinned male with multiple piercings and tattoos smirking down at him.
He could see a few of his friends lingering in the background, laughing and talking loudly.
Taehyung wondered if they were intoxicated but one glance at the male's hand proved true as he gripped the can tightly.
His anxiety only grew with each passing second as his heartbeat sped up.
Fear began to creep up on him as the male turned around to yell some absurdity at his friends before turning back to Taehyung.
Taehyung eyed him nervously, suddenly grateful that his window was rolled up aside from about two inches on the top.
"Hey baby wanna join me and my friends back at our place? I promise you wont regret it."
The male smirked lazily as he eyed Taehyung with hungry eyes, not at all hiding the way he licked his lips.
Taehyung's face burned furiously, feeling incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassed, for some reason.
Before he could even find the courage to speak, another voice cut in sharply.
"Walk away man, he's with me."
Jungkook.
And he did not sound the least bit happy.

Taehyung watched helplessly as Jungkook walked up to the male, eyeing him with a harsh glare that would have already sent Taehyung running for the hills.
The drunken male didn't say a word for a split second, before scoffing drunkenly and walking off with a sway.
Jungkook watched him as he disappeared down the row of cars before turning back to Taehyung and opening the passenger door for him.
"Hey, are you okay? What did he say?" Jungkook asked gently, bringing Taehyung into his arms the second he stepped out of the truck.
"I-I'm fine, Jungkook. He didn't do anything."
"It was a mistake bringing you here, maybe we should go-"
"No, it's okay. I'm okay and we are staying."
Taehyung reassured him, completely leaving out the part where the male asked him to leave with him, knowing Jungkook would only get angrier and go looking for trouble.
Jungkook still eyed him from head to toe before he seemed to calm down.
They proceeded to climb into the back of the truck, Taehyung sat between Jungkook's legs as the male leaned back onto the truck.
They draped the thick blanket over their low halves as they cuddled together, sharing snacks every now and them.
Taehyung found himself actually enjoying the movie, laughing and crying all in a span of two hours.
It followed the story of two forbidden lovers, much like Romeo and Juliet besides the fact that the movie characters actually knew each other for more than a few days.
The woman came from a very wealthy family who made it their mission to keep their only child protected from the world.
Expect for one night where she sneaked off into a club and met the love of her life, believing that nothing could ever separate them.
But the male came from poverty, and unfortunately their love was not enough for her family.
She quarreled with her father and rebelled with all she had, changing everything about herself.
One night as she was about to sneak out of her house, she walked out to her father pulling the trigger on her lover, effectively killing him before her.
Because in her fathers eyes, she had betrayed him.

Taehyung smiled shyly as he skipped up to his doorstep, turning back to see Jungkook watching him from his truck.
Taehyung giggled loudly at the male's cute bunny teeth peeking out before waving enthusiastically at him and opening his front door.
He was relieved that no one was home yet, feeling like his day could not have gone better.
He danced a bit around his living room as he laughed to himself.
Taehyung skipped off to his kitchen, humming a random tune as he opened the fridge and popped a grape into his mouth.
He was about to exit the room when he eyed his mother's big picture frame with the Virgin Mary.
He stood there for a good second before he started speaking,
"Thank you. Thank you for allowing me to meet someone like him. It's unreal how happy he makes me. Thank you for bringing him into my life... You're a mother... All I can ask, is that you protect him. Please keep him healthy for me."
Taehyung finished with a few stray tears in his eyes before he did the sign of the cross and walked up to his room.

Leaves of Terranthir
DISCONTINUED - I won't be writing more of this fiction. Check out the latest post for a worlbuilding summary / final thoughts. Leaves of Terranthir is a gamelit blend of ARPG, action, fantasy, and slice of life. It's inspired in part by some of my favourite games, borrowing in themes, sense of exploration, and aesthetics from the Soulsborne and soulslike genre, mixed heavily with arpg itemization from Diablo/PoE style games. While many may remember their Soulslike experiences as nothing more than suffering, I personally loved the sense of progression, to prevail over challenges and monsters that seemed impossible to defeat at first. If any of that seems interesting to you, do check out the first chapter and let me know what you think. Cheers, and thanks for reading. Cover by Baconstrap.

Distant Leaps to Circinus
A dark fantasy story that takes place on a reborn Earth. "With all the planets in the universe, it just had to be this one." Not many thoughts came to mind when scientists said they could provide the Earth with nearly infinite power. Humans could only think about the future, after all: they could travel to the farthest reaches of space, never worry about their electric bills again, and give rise to new and innovative technologies. With such good outcomes on the horizon, there was no way humanity would sit idle; instead, they studied perhaps the most powerful entity in the entire Milky Way. It seemed that, after its appearance decades ago, the strange and unmoving black sphere was something of a godsend. There will always be a reason for these things. With one touch, our very reality was but a grain of sand in an hourglass. In an instant, the Earth was gone - replaced by something… different. More than a century later, Earth’s remains have reformed into a completely different beast - a planet both alive and dead at the same time. Physics that were once understood no longer made sense, giant land masses floated in the sky, and billions of people fought for their very survival. Work, sleep, and play were no more; it was time for the world, Circinus, to reign. The birth of Circinus could only be the beginning. The powerful yet ever-elusive black sphere seemed to watch the world from afar - casting light for those below, but never truly emitting light from itself. What does it all mean for the children of Circinus - children born with eyes that seemed to stare into God’s heart?
