Taehyung hummed happily as he picked up the delicious dumplings with his chopsticks, unaware of the way Jungkook stared at him with puppy eyes.
He caught on mid-bite, making him chew his food timidly.
"What?" He asked shyly.
"Nothing." Jungkook replied after a second, stuffing his face with the delicious food.
They continued to eat silently, just grateful to be in each others presence.
"What time do you have to be home?" Jungkook asked after a while, slurping up the juice that was left on the styrofoam bowl.
"My mother works the night shift today and my father doesn't get home until around eleven tonight so I don't really have a curfew." Taehyung smiled, grateful that he didn't have to worry about his father for the day.
Jungkook nodded quickly before getting up, "Great, you up for a movie?"
"A movie?" He asked hesitantly.
"Yeah, there is a drive-in by the far end of town. Lots of teenagers go, it's pretty popular." Jungkook spoke as they left the food stand.
Jungkook had already started walking down the street, stopping abruptly when he realized Taehyung had suddenly stopped following.
"What's wrong?" Jungkook asked, concern laced in his voice.
Taehyung had lowered his head, playing with his fingers.
He caught his lip between his teeth, appearing to be conflicted.
"We'll just watch a movie, right?" Taehyung asked softly as he furrowed his brows.
And that was when Jungkook noticed that he wasn't just playing with his fingers, he was adjusting his purity ring.
Jungkook's eyes softened as he looked around to make sure no one was around, before gently cupping Taehyung's face with his hands.
"We won't do anything you don't want to, okay?" He whispered lightly, thumb gently caressing his soft cheek.
Wide, innocent eyes peered up at him with such trust, that it almost had him in tears.
The thought of ever taking advantage of someone like Taehyung made his heart sink.
Taehyung nodded his head gently at his words before replying, "Okay."
Jungkook looked at him, inspecting his face to see if he was uncomfortable.
He smiled lightly when Taehyung stared at him expectantly, waiting for him

"Uh- Lets go to the tire shop to get the truck, that way we can watch the movie in the back." Jungkook explained as he led the way.
They talked mindlessly for the next few minutes before they arrived to the shop, Jungkook calling Yoongi's name loudly.
"Is it his truck?" Taehyung asked curiously as Jungkook maneuvered his way through the car parts and random tires.
"We share the truck. Some guy brought it in for us to fix but ended up getting a new car so we just kept it for ourselves." Jungkook spoke as he gently grabbed Taehyung's hand in his, mumbling for him to watch his step.
"What is it, Jungkook?" Yoongi called calmly as he came out from behind a car, wiping the grease from his hands with a dirty rag.
"Hyung, can I borrow the truck? I want to take Taehyung to the drive-in." Jungkook explained.
Taehyung stood quietly beside him, shyly stealing glances at yoongi.
He couldn't help but see Yoongi in a whole new light since learning that he and Jimin were lovers.
He was distant and cold, yes, but if he was with someone as sweet as Park Jimin, then somewhere deep down, he had a good bone in his body.
Yoongi stared at Jungkook blankly before looking down at Taehyung and their connected hands with a dumbfounded expression.
"You-You're taking him out?" He asked dumbly, pointing a thin finger towards Taehyung.
It was safe to say, neither Jimin nor Jungkook had time to fill Yoongi in.
"Hyung..." Jungkook warned softly, knowing it probably wasn't the right time to be having the conversation, but he really needed the truck.
Taehyung stared back and forth between the two boys; the air was filled with awkward tension. He could feel the way Jungkook tightened his grip on his hand.
Yoongi's eyes were the widest Taehyung had ever seen, mouth lightly parted.
His gaze didn't look angry or disgusted, instead it was filled with... concern and fear.
For who or what? Only God knows.
He didn't tear his eyes away from Jungkook for a second, both males having a silent conversation with their eyes.

In the end Yoongi only cleared his throat before croaking out, "Sure, take it."
Jungkook didn't reply immediately, too focused on catching Yoongi's real emotions.
Taehyung saw the way Jungkook was staring at Yoongi, deciding to speak up for him.
"Thank you Yoongi hyung. C-Can I call you that?" Taehyung shyly spoke, voice soft.
Yoongi stared at him for a second too long before slowly nodding his head, blinking rapidly.
"That's fine." Was all he said.
And that was better than the silence Taehyung had been expecting.
"Keys are in the back room." Yoongi said to Jungkook.
"Thank you." Jungkook said slowly, giving him one last look before leaving with Taehyung in tow.

"Are you okay?" Taehyung gently grabbed Jungkook's bicep when the male fell silent.
They were currently in the truck on their way to get snacks for the movie.
Jungkook was behind the wheel as they made their way down the street.
He hadn't said much since they left the shop, making him wonder if Yoongi's reaction had truly bothered him.
"I'm fine." He murmured, bringing Taehyung's hand up to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to his knuckles, causing him to smile.
It was clear that he was still thinking about what happened but Taehyung wouldn't press him about it if he wasn't comfortable talking.
After managing to get a few treats for the movie, Jungkook suggested they make a quick stop to his house to get a warm blanket, knowing the night air was a bit chilly.
Taehyung hesitantly agreed, feeling a bit nervous at the idea.
Once the truck stopped in front of his small home, Taehyung asked, "Is-Is your mother home?"
"No, she's working right now and Chanyeol is with our neighbor." Jungkook explained, unknowingly giving Taehyung the ability to breathe again.
It wasn't that he was nervous to meet Jungkook's mother, seeing as they had already met and talked before. Not to mention that Taehyung felt almost as if they were friends.
It was just the thought of meeting Jungkook's mother as her son's lover that had him sweating buckets.
Jungkook had already told him that his mother was aware of his feelings for Taehyung, and that she was up waiting for him when he got home from talking to Taehyung at the bakery.
"Oh." Taehyung sighed in relief, watching as Jungkook took off his seatbelt.
"Come on, lets go." Jungkook spoke nonchalantly, already opening the door.
"I'll wait for you here." Taehyung spoke quickly.
"I already told you my mom isn't home." Jungkook cocked his head to the side, thinking and knowing that Taehyung was probably nervous about meeting her.
"Then more of a reason to not go inside your house. I think it's rude." Taehyung mumbled.
Jungkook released air through his nostrils before chuckling softly and leaning forward to press a gentle kiss to his lips.
"I'll be right back." He smiled before slamming the door shut.
Taehyung sighed to himself as he sat in silence for a few seconds.
He mindlessly pulled down the sun visor to look at himself in the mirror, not expecting to see a photo fly upside down onto his lap.
He furrowed his brows in confusion before turning over the photo to see who it was.
A tiny gasp left his lips as he saw four boys leaning against the very truck that he was in now.
Taehyung was able to recognize three familiar faces; Yoongi, Jungkook and Hoseok.
Along with another male by their side, one that Taehyung had never seen before.
He was undoubtedly tall with visible dimples on both of his cheeks, along with short brown hair that covered his entire forehead.
They all had their arms around each other, huge carefree smiles on their faces as they stared into the camera.
A slightly younger version of Jungkook had his arms around a smiling Hoseok, who was standing beside the male with the dimples, who had his arm around Yoongi's shoulder.
Taehyung couldn't help but focus on how close Jungkook and Hoseok looked, wondering what had happened for it all to change?
