Taehyung couldn't describe the feeling in his chest when he realized Jungkook had won the race.
The smile etched on his face seemed to reside permanently as he watched Jungkook step out of the car.
He seemed almost shocked that he had won, lips parted lightly as some guys clapped his back and congratulated him.
But he didn't seem to care at all, eyes instinctively locking with Taehyung's.
"Tae, come on!" Jimin yelled in his ear, tugging him towards the street where Jungkook was.
It almost felt like time stopped, like it was only them two.
When he finally made it to where Jungkook was, he spoke, "Congratulations."
Jungkook's newly found feelings made it difficult to speak, eyes dazed.
"Thanks." He spoke at last, heart pounding in his chest.
Taehyung stood in front of him shyly as various people came up to him and congratulated him.
He was about to turn to walk away when Jungkook suddenly called him back.
"Wait- We should- I mean if you want to, we can walk around for a bit?" Jungkook cursed internally for stuttering over his words like a school girl.
Taehyung giggled softly before nodding his head, "I'd like that."
"Great- uh, let me just change out of these clothes. Wait for me here?" Jungkook asked, waiting for Taehyung to nod before going inside the bathrooms to change.
Taehyung looked around the crowd for Jimin, spotting him sitting down with Yoongi and someone else.
They briefly made eye contact as Taehyung mouthed to him that he was waiting for Jungkook to exit the bathroom.
He patiently waited for a few more minutes before a raspy voice spoke from behind him, bringing chills up his spine.
"I'll have to admit this is quite a surprise, church boy."

Taehyung quickly turned around, coming face to face with Hoseok.
"Never thought there would be a day where you would be on my side of town." He smirked, eyeing Taehyung up and down.
Taehyung gulped harshly, feeling uncomfortable under his gaze.
"Uh-" Taehyung began.
"Hoseok, walk away." Jungkook's voice ordered from behind him, tone dead serious.
"Now why would I do that?" The red head smirked, stepping closer to Taehyung.
"I won't fucking tell you twice." Jungkook growled out, making Taehyung shiver at his words.
Hoseok's evil smile suddenly dropped, eyes piercing into Jungkook's.
He cocked his head to the side slowly before disbelief flooded his eyes.
"You like him." He stated.
Taehyung stood confused as ever, helpless.
Jungkook's eyes stayed locked with Hoseok, knowing that the elder could see right through him.
He didn't say a word, gulping harshly.
"You're more stupid than I thought. Whatever you think is going to happen, it won't. Because people like us, are a disgusting piece of shit according to his faith." Hoseok angrily spoke, eyes blazed with fire.
People were beginning to stare at the small scene, curious eyes glancing between Hoseok and Jungkook.
But Hoseok didn't stop there, right before turning to storm off angrily, he spat right by Taehyung's feet.
In that moment something in Jungkook snapped, causing him to roughly shove Hoseok backwards, making him stumble.
He tightened his jaw, his hands balled into fists.
Because how fucking dare he?
Taehyung couldn't deny the fact that he felt like crying, being publicly humiliated and all.
He shrieked lightly when Jungkook jumped up to fight Hoseok.
He could see in the distance, Jimin and Yoongi approaching them.
"Jungkook, don't! It's okay!" Taehyung found himself screaming, hands gripping onto Jungkook's shoulders.
It was a weak attempt to hold him back, seeing as Hoseok accepted Jungkook's challenge.

"Stop!" Taehyung felt like a damsel in distress.
His calls were being ignored until Yoongi appeared by his side.
He wordlessly grabbed Jungkook's arm, pulling him away from Hoseok.
"Calm the fuck down." He demanded.
Jungkook was still breathing heavy, face red with anger.
"Hoseok just walk away, seriously." Yoongi sighed.
Taehyung could feel Jimin's small hands around his body as he whispered quietly, "Are you okay?"
Taehyung reassured him that he was fine, eyes worriedly glancing at Jungkook.
"Go take a fucking walk." Yoongi ordered him, making Jungkook glare at Hoseok one last time before storming off.
"I think I should take you home-" Jimin began, only to be cut off by Taehyung.
"No, I want to talk to Jungkook." He whispered softly.
"I don't think that's a good idea. He's really mad right now." Yoongi frowned.
"He-He's not mad at me." Taehyung stated before turning to catch up with Jungkook.
