《Loving Min Yoongi: How To Love Him》Chapter 6

Alex woke early the next morning. She paired light denim skinny jeans with a loose, white chiffon top, and a pair of black combat boots. She straightened her hair and applied some light makeup, except for her eyes. She went with a brown smoky look to complete the ensemble. She always received compliments on her eyes, and she knew just the right touch could make them stunning. She took one last look in the mirror after applying a light pink lip dye, that stuff was amazing!

Ji-Hoon picked her up at 8:30am sharp, stopped for some coffee, and then they headed to Hybe. Alex's nerves were much more calm that day. She figured if she had already ran smack into Yoongi the night before, surely the rest of this was about to go much smoother.

Inside the conference room people milled about waiting for the briefing to begin. Most of them she had met the night before, except for a few newcomers who she later found out were assistants to the BTS members. A few moments later the doors opened and in walked the guys. RM, Jin, Yoongi, Jhope, Jimin, Taehyung, and last but not least, Jungkook. They smiled and waved at everyone as they took their seats at the conference table.

Whatever control Alex thought she had over her nerves slowly dissipated as she took them all in. She had never been in their presence before since her job kept her from going to their concerts. There was no way to describe what she was feeling as she looked at each one of them. They seemed bigger in real life. None of them had makeup on, and yet each one was strikingly handsome, on the verge of beautiful. Pictures, fan cams, none of it did them justice. She found herself awestruck.

Ji-Hoon nudged her knee under the table and whispered under his breath, "You're drooling."

Alex gave him the side-eye then wiped her mouth to make sure she hadn't been drooling. This was most definitely going to take every ounce of professionalism she had. "Just hit me if I stop breathing," she whispered to Ji-Hoon.

The meeting began, and once again everyone was introduced around the room, but this time it included BTS. As if they needed introductions. Alex was next. She noticed RM gave her a polite smile, Jimin gave her a small nod, and Jungkook waved and smiled at her enthusiastically. Yoongi watched her, his eyes were intense, but his face gave no other expression. She gave them all a slight bow of greeting then took her seat.

The lead manager stood to speak, outlining what was to be expected over the next year as they completed the documentary. To Alex's surprise, she was going to be more involved than she originally anticipated. Not only would she be interviewing the guys throughout the process, she would also be interviewing the staff, and the members' parents. This was groundbreaking! In addition to that, she would be accompanying each of the members during their downtime and breaks to get more in-depth coverage of them.

You see, this wasn't just a comeback tour documentary. This was the beginning of a new era for BTS, a new image. They wanted to be seen as more mature, more professional. They still wanted ARMY to see them as the BTS they had always been, but they also wanted to provide a fresh outlook on their work now that they were older and starting new phases of their lives. The fact that Alex had been chosen for all of this almost made her tear up from the immense appreciation she felt for the opportunity. She was literally going where no other reporter had gone before.

Once the meeting was over, Alex stood up from her seat when she felt a hand on her arm. She turned to see Taehyung standing there, in all his beautiful glory. He had on a striped button up, the sleeves folded at the elbow, a pair of loose linen pants, and brown slides. His hair was disheveled, making him look like he had just rolled out of bed. She was pretty sure she forgot to blink.

"I'm so happy to meet you, Alexis. I hope you find our company friendly," Taeyhung spoke to her in English.

"Please, call me Alex, and I have no doubt that we will all become friends when this is done," she answered to him in Korean.

His eyebrows shot up under his bangs, "Wow, you speak Korean very well! Yoongi hyung didn't mention that last night."

So, he mentioned they had already met last night? Oh, to have been a fly on the wall to hear what was said! Normally, Alex wasn't the nosy type, nor did she care what others thought of her. However, in this instance, when you were about to spend a year with these people, it would be nice to know what their impressions of you were.

"Yoongi seemed distracted when we met, so perhaps it slipped his mind. I'll forgive him this once," she said conspiratorially.

Yoongi overheard that last part, "Did I do something wrong that I need to apologize for?"

"No, hyung," Taehyung said laughing. "Alex was just excusing you for keeping details from us about her, she said you were preoccupied last night."

Yoongi was surprised, he normally hid stuff well from others, especially from people who didn't know him. He shrugged his shoulders and turned back to the conversation between RM and their manager.

Taeyhung gave Alex a small bow and said his farewells. Ji-Hoon signaled to Alex that it was time to go, and they left to head back to her hotel. Alex didn't notice Yoongi's eyes follow her out the door when she left, but Jungkook did. He looked over at RM standing next to him, "Did you see that too?" RM nodded his head.
