After the doors had closed in the elevator, Yoongi let a small smile spread across his face. He had heard about the American reporter that would be joining them for the tour. He and the other members had researched her work when they found out that HYBE was joining with DYK for the USA launch. They appreciated her ability to spotlight celebrities with honesty, and without stepping over their personal boundaries. Her reputation for professionalism was not overrated as he thought back to how she greeted him. Her Korean was much better than he had expected.
She was much prettier in person than the camera let on in her interviews. Her long brown hair suited her round face, and the highlights complemented her complexion. She was curvier than the Korean norm, which didn't bother him. He focused more on someone's personality rather than their looks. She carried herself well, and confidently. Something he could admire.
She had worn an oversized white button up, the sleeves rolled up to the elbows, with black jeans and black ankle boots. He liked her style, simple yet classic. Similar to his. He looked forward to getting to know her and seeing how she interacted with the other members. It would be different having an American along for their tour, but Alex gave him the impression she would suit the team well during this project.
He thought back to her smile as the elevator descended. Was he attracted maybe? It was hard to say without getting to know her, but first impressions made a difference to Yoongi. It dawned on him that the song he had been worrying about before had slipped his mind. Normally when he was stuck on a song he was like a dog with a bone. Meeting Alex made him forget about it. Now wasn't that something . . . .

Yoongi's phone alerted him to a message. It was the team chat:
Hyung, we're grabbing something to eat, you in?🥩
You've been in the studio all day, you need to eat.
Yeah, I'll eat.
