《The Circus Ruckus! || Popee X Reader!》Chapter Seven // AFLATTUS

Dreams, how wonderful it is to dream. They accompany our sleepy minds as we lay unconscious on our comfy or not-so-comfy bed.
What are dreams? Is it a stimulation of our active imagination or is it just a collection of memories crumpled into one long movie that can cause happy or silly feelings... it can also cause your demise.
Enough about dreams, we're facing reality! Dreams may exist but they cannot last, unlike reality, we face it everyday and every time. Reality sucks and we all know it. But where's the fun in that, if trouble weren't around?
After knowing how reality can really be a jerk to us, you probably want to be in a dream? But if we were in a dream then reality wouldn't exist then? Of course, it'll still exist but we're not part of it for we are in a dream. A dream that isolates people from the world, from reality. Unpleasing and pleasing it may be, yet how'd you know if this weren't a dream?
Welcome to Chapter SEVEN
It's dark and cold; dusty and a little sandy— heck every where I go is sandy! What's more to expect, I'm in a desert. I didn't even know it was this cold every night. If I only listened to my teachers then I would've at least learned a thing or two about places like this.
Now that I think about it, I never listened to my teachers not even once except for the good ones! To be honest, some of my teachers are a bit stressful but I'm sure they're not all bad. But they sure do know how to be a pain in the ass.
Maybe I should pay attention sometimes, you know? Then maybe the teachers would be nicer—
Rusty metallic objects clashed with each other. Waking (Y/N) in the process.

(Y/N) quickly rose from the dusty mattress she was "supposed" to be accustomed with. It really was dark in the tent she was in, thankfully the moon and the stars lit some kind of spark there.
The tired yet excited girl squinted her eyes as she tried to make out the shadowy figure near the way out of this lightless place she calls sanctuary. Vision finally joined her side and helped the worried girl reveal the intruder that probably entered to watch her sleep WITHOUT HER PERMISSION!
Expecting Popee, she shouted his name. Her tone was so loud, her voice probably reached the whole dessert! Which is unrealistic but it is cool if it did.
Curtains finally draped and the mysterious silhouette can now be seen with the naked eye.
"Popee! I knew it was— Kedamono!?" She jumped from her bed, clearly in a state of shock.
"Good night?" Keda pulled a shy smile. He really was embarrassed for disrupting her beauty sleep. All the timid wolf was trying to do was find the three mugs he forgot to clean for two whole days now. She caught him sooner than he expected.
(Y/N) who was still confused, cleared her throat "So you're not gonna explain why you're here?"
"Oh right! Forgive my manners, (Y/N)."
She giggled at how Keda sounded adorable at that moment. Kedamono at the other hand, furrowed his brows anxiously.
"You don't have to apologize for something like that," hearing those words sent a sign of relief from the anxious wolf. (Y/N) continued "besides if I really have to, just remember all is forgiven!"
"(Y/N)... you're so nice." He spoke softly. He sounded like her mother for a second.
"Really? Oh stop it!"
"No, really. You're really nice, unlike her."

"Her?"
"Did I just say something? I don't think so."
(Y/N) wondered who her could be.
"But I'm really grateful, you know, for staying here longer with us nobodies. I bet you're really uncomfortable sleeping on mattresses that haven't been cleaned for a few months now." Kedamono caught (Y/N) off guard with his bold statements. Aside from the mattress not being cleaned for a few months thing, what truly caught her attention was the fact that he was grateful.
"Whaddya mean? I don't care if this place was never cleaned from the first place, I can stay here for as long as I could!"
And just when Kedamono thought she was done with her speech, she spoked again "And DON'T you ever say that you guys are nobodies! You guys are performers, now that's something not everybody can be."
The purple performer was touched for his fellow performers finally have someone to look up to and to adore.
"He'd be happy."
"Who are we talking about this time exactly?"
"Popee."
"Popee? Him?"
"Yeah, because he finally has someone like you."
Kedamono slowly approached the three mugs and took them one by one. After gathering the mugs, he took off to leave (Y/N)'s tent.
She stopped him from leaving, curiosity embedded on her.
"I don't understand Kedamono! What do you mean?" She questioned yet received no answers in return.
He smiled as he swayed his head from his left to right then back again.
"Soon. You'll soon know." With those last few words, Keda left leaving (Y/N) in utter confusion.
Someone... like me?

Inside, Kess finds an even darker side of the city bent on killing the Errant-using any means necessary.
