The next morning was bright and sunny. The sun's rays gleamed through the sliding glass door, brightening the room.

Taehyung groaned, rolling over and hugging his new "pillow". He slightly opened his eyes, adjusting to the light.

He looked up to see the maknae still fast asleep. He played with the younger's bed hair and chubby cheeks. V giggled and snuggled closer.

He said to himself smiling widely.

Taehyung rolled out of bed and looked around the room. He found the coffee maker and the complementary coffee packets with creamers.

He made Jungkook and himself coffee and poured it into small mugs. He pulled the table out onto the balcony that gave them a perfect view of the ocean. When he was done, there was a knock at the door.

He said, looking at his watch.

Taehyung walked over, opened the door, and was handed a plater filled with pancakes and fruits.

He payed the man and closed the door behind him. V walked over to the small table, out on the balcony, and placed the breakfast and the coffees on top.

He clapped his hands and turned to face the sleeping maknae.

Taehyung walked over to the younger's side and slightly pushed him.

Jungkook opened his eyes slowly.

Taehyung giggled and crawled on top of him, hovering over him.

Jungkook teased, rolling over to face the older.

V smiled, remembering the last time this happened. He leaned forward, inches away from the younger's face.

He threatened while smirking.

Jungkook let out a small chuckle before closing the gap between him and his hyung, connecting their lips.

Taehyung pulled away first and helped the maknae out of bed. Jungkook stood up to stretch until he felt warm hands covering his eyes.

He giggled.

The younger nodded. Taehyung held his hand, leading him outside.

Jungkook opened his eyes and smiled brightly.

V slapped his arm and pouted.

Jungkook laughed and hugged his boyfriend.

The two sat down and enjoyed their breakfast overlooking Waikiki beach. They watched surfers catch waves and paddlers paddling in the canoes.

Taehyung cheered.

Jungkook rolled his eyes.

The sliding door opened behind them and they turned to see who it was.

Jhope exclaimed and ran to their table, stuffing his face with their food.

Taehyung scolded, trying to pull his hyung away from devouring all the food.

Jhope snatched a blueberry before standing behind Jungkook for protection.

Hoseok swallowed his food and smiled brightly. He stole another bite of their pancake before walking out.

Taehyung sent Jungkook to the room to get ready before cleaning up the mess around him. After discarding the trash, he got ready too.

Jungkook questioned, grabbing his towel and room key.

Taehyung walked over to the nightstand and pulled out the shark tooth necklace Jungkook gave him.

e smiled, putting on the necklace.

Taehyung paused before smiling at the younger.

He grabbed their things and walked out, Jungkook following behind. Suga walked out, coated in sunscreen.

Taehyung asked.

Suga shook his head.

Jimin laughed.

Suga lifted his hand to hit the other when the manager turned the corner, walking to where they were.

The manager complained.

Suga commented.

Jimin added.

The boys walked down to Waikiki beach since it was not far from their hotel. The manager talked to the surf instructors behind the surf stand.

They greeted their two surf instructors who were able to speak Korean. Their names were Kai and Nalu.

They were taught the basics in surfing. How to paddle, how and when to stand, and where to position themselves.

Jhope whispered to Kai, pointing to Namjoon.

Namjoon yelled back.

Kai laughed and nodded.

He helped the members carry their boards into the water while Nalu strapped their leashes to their dominant ankle.

Nalu positioned Taehyung onto his board. Jungkook watched carefully and positioned himself. When Nalu swam over to the younger, he was impressed.

Nalu smiled.

Taehyung commented.

Nalu squinted his eyes, looking at Taehyung's necklace.

V looked down. He asked holding up the shark tooth. "

The surf instructor nodded.

Taehyung looked down at the necklace.

V nodded, running out onto the beach and handing it to him.

The manager agreed and put it in his pocket.

Taehyung thanked, running back into the water.

Nalu took out the first group consisting of Jhope, Namjoon, and Suga.

Kai had the second group consisting of Jin, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook.

The waves were decent beginner level size, small but rideable ranging from 2-3 ft. Farther out, there were bigger sized waves that were about 5 feet.

Kai said, stopping and watching where the waves break.

There were many tourists and a few locals out catching waves.

Taehyung yelled.

Kai chuckled.

Taehyung paddled over to the surf instructor and Kai faced him towards the shore.

Kai explained.

V nodded.

The wave came and Kai pushed him.

Taehyung did as he was told. When he felt the momentum of the board gliding with the wave, he pushed up and stood.

He cheered. He rode the wave all the way until it died out. Taehyung splashed into the water and gave two thumbs up to his members in the distance.

Nalu then pushed Namjoon, but he was positioned too far forward on the board and it caused him to pearl, meaning the tip of the board dove into the water and the back of the board shot up. He fell forward into the water and his legs dangled in the air.

When he came back up for air, his members and people around him were laughing.

A local man yelled while laughing.

This made the members laugh harder and Namjoon paddled back in shame.

He mumbled

Suga gleamed.

While paddling in, V looked up to see Jungkook paddling for his own wave with no assistance.

He cheered.

Jungkook found the momentum. He pushed off and stood up, swaying his long board along the wave.

The younger stopped along side Taehyung, smiling widely.

Jungkook bragged.

V smirked and flipped the younger's board over, causing Jungkook to fall into the water.

He pouted.

He splashed the the maknae and attempted to paddle away.

Jungkook grabbed his hyung's leash, connecting Taehyung to the board, and pulled him back. Jungkook flipped V over and he fell into the water.

Taehyung splashed.

Jungkook splashed back.

He splashed the younger again.

The two played around until Jimin caught his wave and headed for the couple.

The two split and Jimin jumped off his board next to them.

imin smiled.

Jungkook called back while paddling ahead with the other.

Jimin turned back and smirked.

Park Jimin. You just wait, Taehyung thought to himself.

When they got back to the line up, Nalu and his group met up with Kai's group.

Kai asked. He pointed to Jungkook and Taehyung.

The younger answered blankly.

Taehyung felt a sharp pain in his chest. He knew that their relationship was a secret, but he didn't know why it hurt him so much.

How could Kookie answer so straightforwardly? Is that easy to deny it? Is it because of my illness? Am I thinking too much? All these thoughts ran through Taehyung's mind.

Jungkook noticed his hyung lost in thoughts. It concerned him. He was about to say something else until Nalu broke the silence.

Kai nodded.

The members nodded. Kai and Nalu prepared Jin and Suga to catch their waves.

While waiting, Jungkook talked to Jimin. Taehyung frowned while watching the couple. Jhope noticed and sat on his board alongside Taehyung.

Taehyung jumped in shock, looking to his side and nudging Jhope's shoulder.

Hoseok smirked.

V laughed at his hyung's statement.

Jhope nodded. He winked.

Taehyung laughed.

The two joined Jimin and Jungkook's conversation. Jimin told them how he's actually really good at surfing. Him and Kai paddled out earlier while the other members were surfing and caught the bigger waves.

Jungkook complemented.

Taehyung rolled his eyes. Please.

Nalu called over Jhope since it was his turn to catch a wave. Jimin paddled alongside Kai and helped Jin, who was having a panick attack. Jin complained how he needs a partner next to him just in case he gets hurt. Jimin agreed to be that person.

Taehyung stayed back with his maknae.

Jungkook asked.

V shook his head.

he said, pointing to the bigger surf.

Jungkook's eyes widened.

Taehyung smirked.

Taehyung's stubbornness didn't budge. He was determined to catch a wave and impress his boyfriend.

He tried to paddle out but the maknae grabbed the back of his board.

Before the younger could argue back, Taehyung flipped him over. It gave him enough time to paddle out without the maknae stopping him.

By the time Jungkook resurfaced, wiped his eyes, climbed back onto the board, and looked for his hyung, Taehyung was already over the bigger waves and amongst the experienced surfers.

I have to do something, Jungkook thought.

Kai turned to the maknae who was pointing further out.

Nalu looked back too. They gasped and exchanged concerned looks.

They questioned.

Jungkook answered furiously.

It then clicked in the surf instructors' minds that the two really were dating. They realized how much danger Taehyung could be in now knowing that his head isn't in the right place. He's doing it out of jealousy, not knowledge.

Kai was the first person to paddle out. He paddled over the waves and searched for Taehyung. Finally, he spotted him.

V looked over to Kai's direction.

He retorted.

The next set of waves began rolling in. Kai started to panick, realizing that the waves are getting bigger.

V hesitated. He's right, he thought. What the hell am I doing?

He shouted and scolded himself.

Kai was in the clear zone, where the waves are at it's weakest stage and don't break. Taehyung, unfortunately, was in the breaking zone where the waves form.

V paddled with all his might, but it was too late. The first wave came closer to him. There was no time.

Kai saw the wave and warned V.

Taehyung nodded and did as he was told. When the wave came, he glided with the wave.

Suddenly a local man dropped in and turned towards the younger.

He sneered.

Taehyung panicked and jerked his board away from the kolohe (rascal/mischievous) surfer who was coming towards him.

Taehyung lost control over his board and fell into the water. The powerful wave crushed over him with so much force, the pressure of the wave sent him to the bottom of the ocean.

His board was pulled along with the wave, causing Taehyung to be dragged by his leash.

He scraped along the coral until he was able to swim to the top of the water. V popped up and gasped for air. He called out to Kai for help.

The next set of waves rolled in and pummeled into Taehyung once more. The pressure forced him to the bottom of the sea floor, causing him to hit his head on the coral and knock out.

The members sat quietly in the hospital waiting area. Jungkook was pacing back and forth across the room.

Jimin called out.

The maknae sobbed.

Jin embraced Jungkook, letting the younger male cry into his shoulder.

Jungkook giggled and nodded, taking a seat next to the elder.

Kai had saved Taehyung, pulling him out from under the water and onto his board. He detached V's leash, letting the rental board float away.

He paddled Taehyung onto shore and rested him on the beach. Jungkook watched in horror as lifeguards surrounded his hyung's unconscious body and performed CPR.

It worked and Taehyung coughed out the water that filled his lungs. He fainted again and medics came, rushing him to the nearest hospital.

The members followed behind in their van while Jungkook rode with the ambulance, holding tightly onto Taehyung's hand.

Fortunately, there were doctors who were able to speak multiple languages, including Korean. They assured everyone that they will do their best to make sure their member is alive and well.

The manager exited Taehyung's room, walking towards the members.

Jin asked worriedly.

The manager stood in front of the seated members.

They nodded and sat back. exhaling deep sighs of relief.

Jhope said.

The manager instructed.

The members leaned forward to show they're listening. Before the manager could explain, the doctor exited from V's room. Jungkook jumped up and ran over to the lady.

He pleaded.

The lady gave him a warm smile.

The manager yelled.
