Alejandra went to visit Matthew in the morning and came out engaged in the evening with a ring on her finger.

On her way home she was excited but scared to tell her family she was engaged. Thankfully all the lights turned green and allowed her to arrive home early.

Entering her house she asked her mom if they could talk in private and took her to her room.

"Mama te quiero decir algo." She sat down her hands hidden by the long sleeved hoodie she was wearing.

English translation: (Mom I want to tell you something.)

She took rolled her sleeves and showed her mom the ring. "Mi comprometido tiene un hijo de 4 años, es viudo, y tiene 33 años." She let it all out at one.

English translation: (My fiancé has a 4 year old son, he is a widower, and he is 33 years old.)

Her mom nodded her head "Okay. Si me lo imagine con tus preguntas y cuando me decías que te gustaban los hombres mayores. Pero lo que me duele es que me lo ocultaste. No me tienes la suficiente confianza para poder dirime sobre tu novio?"

English translation: (Okay. I kind of knew with your questions and with you telling me you liked older men. But what hurt me was that you hid that from me. You didn't have enough trust in me to tell me about your boyfriend.)

Alejandra teared up and tried not to cry which resulted in her ugly crying "Sorry mama perdóname. Tenia miedo de que me prohibieras de verlo. Perdóname." she clung on to her mom sobbing and letting her guilt out.

English translation: (Sorry mom. Forgive me. I was afraid you'd prohibit me from seeing him. Forgive me.)

"Esta bien no te preocupes estoy feliz que encontraste el hombre que buscabas. Vamos a decirles a los niños la noticia." They left and told her stepdad and siblings she was engaged they were all happy for her and asked to meet him soon. Now Matthew just had to break the news to his mom.

English translation: (It's alright don't worry. I am glad you found the man you've been looking for. Come on let's go tell the kids the news.)

M: Hey love

A: Hey babe

M: Did you tell your mom?

A: Yes I told my mom and she was okay with it she said She was glad I found a good man to settle down with.

M: I'm glad she took it well love, does your family know too?

A: Yeah I told them and they asked to see you soon.

M: How does Sunday work for y'all.

"Sam let's go to Grandma Alice's house get dressed." Matthew told Sam to get dressed and strapped him into his car sear and drove to his mother's house.

When they arrived Matthew grabbed the flowers he bought his mom and Sam knocked on her door. She let them in and thank her son for the flowers.

After eating lunch Matthew decided to tell his mom. "Hey Sam go play with grandpa I need to talk with grandma." Once Sam left his mom said with worry in her voice "What is it? What's wrong?"

"I'm getting married mom. I'm engaged." His mom got up from her seat and out her hands to her mouth from joy.

"When? How?" She had so many questions that she couldn't get out.

Matthew chuckled "You know her name Alejandra. She's . I'll bring her for you to meet at Sam's birthday this Saturday."

His mom sat down in her chair "Good heavens she's so young. Matthew things may not be easy."

Matthew smiled "I knew what I was getting myself into the first day I met her mom, I won't regret my decision."

"Well if your happy I'm happy. Does Sam-" She trailed of seeing red hair sticking out from behind the wall.

"Sam." Matthew called him out and Sam came out jumping from happiness "Grandma m! Grandma! Grandma my mom's coming to my party tomorrow! she helped me plan everything!" Grandma Alice turned to look at Matthew with a questioning look.

"Mom?" She asked Sam and he beamed in joy "I asked her if I can call her mom and Ale said YES!" Grandma Alice hugged her lovely grandson.
