2 Months Later

"My mom wants to meet you." Alejandra said cuddling into Matthew's chest on the couch in his house.

"My mom also wants to meet the woman Sam talks about for hours." Alejandra giggled.

"I haven't told my mom how old you are or that you were married before. She knows about Sam because she's seen me talk to him. But." She sighed closing her eyes.

"I'm just afraid she'll be disappointed in me for keeping you a secret." she confessed.

"Love, you have to tell her." He rubbed her arm.

"I will I'm telling her tonight. What about you how will your mom react to me?" She asked getting up to get water.

"She'll probably take it like your mom they'll oppose at the beginning then accept us." His gaze followed her figure.

"You know I've been dropping hints these past months. I ask her how she would react if I was dating a 30 year old and she'd say we would have problems with our age like I'd be embarrassed of my aging husband but I told her I have always known that and I chose this so I wouldn't regret anything."

She sat back down on the couch. "I also asked her what defines the word muchacho and she said it's a young man from 18-24 and I asked her what age defines man and she said +25. I tell her I like older men so hopefully that eases her in when I tell her tonight."

They sat in each other's embrace basking in the comfortable silence that engulfed them "Love marry me." Alejandra didn't move but she did say "What?"

They kept embracing each other. "Marry me Alejandra." This time she sat up as if he had burned her and she looked at him. "Matthew what are you saying."

Matthew got a box out if his back pocket and took it out. Getting on one knee he said "I remember you saying that a random proposal is better than a planned proposal.

Alejandra laughed "I can't believe you remember everything I say."

Matthew smiled opening the small black box. "Alejandra Rosales Will you marry me?"

Tears of happiness fell from her eyes. "I will." Matthew took her hand and placed a beautiful elongated cushion cut diamond ring on her ring finger.

Matthew stood up and kissed her ring finger. Sam woke up from his nap and rubbed his eyes "Dad did she say yes?" Alejandra peeked from behind "Yes I did."

Sam screamed joyfully and jumped on her wrapping his legs on her waist and his hands on her neck "Can I call you mom now?"

Matthew hugged her from her side and Alejandra smiled "I would like that very much Sam." Sam felt shy and dug his head into her neck and called her "Mom".

Matthew kissed the top of her head and hugged her as she held Sam in her arms and he clung on to her as if life depended on it.
