Living in Denver has gotten pretty weird these past months. A boy named Griffin was the first to go missing then Billy, then Vance. While I didn't know any that well, I was still worried. At first everyone thought it was just a runaway kid, but when Billy disappeared with balloons tied to his bike and Vance -the strongest kid in the school- people knew something was up. Kids started to call the kidnapper 'the Grabber' that name gave me the creeps. But either way I still have to continue my day and get ready for the first day of school.

I quickly got out of bed and fixed the sheets. After grabbing a random outfit with a sweater I stumbled downstairs to get breakfast.

"Morning (y/n)!" My mom said from the kitchen, she was making my favorite, Pancakes, Bacon, and Eggs. It was a simple breakfast, nothing too special. But the smell it would give off and the taste all together was like heaven.

"Morning Mom. This smells amazing!" I complimented. "Thank you (y/n), I wanted to make it since I have to go on a business trip for a while." She responded grouchy. She hated leaving the house for long periods of time, especially with 'The Grabber' around.

"Promise me you'll be safe and not do anything stupid!" She scolded but with a small smiled. "Of course mom, I'll probably have Finney and Gwen over time to time, as long as that's okay with you." I told her, "Yes, yes! Bring friends over, you always make them but end up not doing anything outside of school with them." I grumbled at her responce to my actions towards my friends but shrugged it off after my mom served my plate.

After finishing that scrumptious breakfast I go upstairs to brush my teeth and apply some eyeliner and lip gloss. Never too much because I'm just too hot for these guys, but still enough to feel pretty.

I check the time to see it's 7:15 so I quickly put my shoes on and grab my bag. "Bye mom!" I yell "Bye (y/n)! Remember I won't be home for at least a week or so!" She yelled back. "I know mom, love you." I shout again "Love you too!" She calls back

As I walk outside I feel the cold air on my cheeks. Gosh I would kill for it warm up a little...While walking down the street I see a new flyer on the fence. '' Hes been missing for a while now. That was the popular guy at school who would beat up kids and play that pinball game all the time. I've talked to him once asking what his high score was, but that's about it.

While getting lost in my thoughts two hands grabs my sides tickling me. "AHHH! Who ever did that I'm gonna beat the sh- oh hi Gwen!" She only responded by breaking into laughter. "Yeah yeah laugh it up. Hi Finn." Finn responded with a short 'hi' while smirking. "Whats that?" Gwen asks after calming down. "Vance Hopper's still missing." I showed her the photo. "Do you think they'll find him?" Finn asks, "Probably not how they want him." Gwen responds. I shrug as we keep walking.

Once we finally get to the school we find Robin. Him and Finn do some weird handshake and start talking about their classes. While I on the other hand, talk to Gwen. "Soooo (y/n), thoughts on my brother?" She asked with a smirk. My cheeks heat up a little but not enough for it to show. "That was uncalled for Gwen." I roll my eyes at her, "Hey, hey, no need to get mad!" She defends "But I know things." She giggled then ran off to her class.

I stood there dumbfounded before Finn snaps his fingers in my face, "You alright?" He asks. I nod and continue walking to my class. "Bye Finn, bye Robin!" I call before walking into math. Ughh the worst class at the start of the day. I sit down at an open seat next to Donna. "Hey (y/n), how was your summer?"

After making it through math class with Donna I go to English. Which is nice since I know Finn has it 2nd too. I walk into class and sit next to him. "Hey (y/n), how's school been so far?" "Ehh it's been fine, I guess. I mean having math first isn't my favorite." I shrug. "That sucks, oh man. I have it next, so now its gonna suck for me." He slumps in his seat while I laugh. "Do you and Gwen wanna hang out aft-" "Good morning students! This will be a new and much harder year for you!" I'm cut off by the teacher before I can finish my sentence and Finn laughs.

"That was boring, and horrible, and stupid, and even more boring!" I complain as we get out of English. "It wasnt that bad! Now you can spell better..because we all know you can't." Finn mumbles the last part.

"I heard that Finney! I for your information I can spell extremely well!" I say proudly. "Spell hypocritical." "Uhm...H-i-p-o-c-r-i-t-i-c-a-l?" He laughs then pushes me so I keep walking. "Was that not right?!? That felt right." I walk confused. "Oh yeah, you definitely got it (y/n)! You could win the spelling bee with that brain of yours!" He sarcastically remarks. "Rude much." I whisper. He laughs and keeps walking.

Once I get done with Social Studies -which was easy since the teacher just told us to talk to our partner to get to know them- I was with this girl named Lucy. She was pretty nice but all she would do is go on about how cute Robin is and how she hopes to date him one day. But other than that it was nice.

"Robin! Did you know you had a secret admirer!" I ask him smugly. "Of course I did! I'm Robin Arellano, all the ladies love me." He gloats. "Big ego much" I whisper to Gwen and she laughs. "Did you know Finney has one too!" She suddenly burst out. My face gets warm, I told her one time. One time! That Finney looked cute and she won't let it go. "Oh who?" Finn asks curiously. "Not tellinggg!" She winks in my direction and I look at her blankly. I'm gonna kill her.

As I'm about to tell Gwen about Lucy and her fat crush, Donna walks up to us. "Hey Finney! Do you have science next?" She asks him with a smile. "Yeah, uh why?" He looks at her confused. "Did you want to sit together? We could be partners!" She glows while talking.

I zone out thinking about who I'm gonna have to sit with. "I was actually gonna sit with (y/n), maybe next time." He suggests to her. Donna's smile falters slightly but she nods and walks off. "Is that cool with you (y/n)?" Finn asks me "Yeah! I mean yeah, that's fine." Gwen smirks and says bye as she walks to her next class. Robin goes to math, leaving me with Finn. As we get into science class I see Donna fuiming while sitting next to Lucy. I just shrug it off and sit by Finn.

"Alright class! The person you are next to is going to be your partner for the whole year!" The teacher shouts while receiving a few groans from kids who were unlucky. "Now, now class, don't start that! First of all you should have known that, and second of all. I don't care. So let's get this lesson started." Me and Finn chuckle at his statement and start to write down the notes the teacher has. After a few minutes I feel eyes on me, I turn my head to see Donna staring daggers into me. I give her a slight smile but she rolls her eyes. Weird.

We finish class and go to lunch. Lunch is the best part of the day, only because we always eat under the bleachers and enjoy eachothers company without teachers and work.

Gwen is sitting to my left, Finney on my right, and Robin next to Finney. "Hey guys, wanna go to my house after school? My mom is out of town for a while and she said I could have friends over and stuff." I slightly smile, hoping they say yes. "Sure" "Of course!" "Why not?" They all respond at the same time. I let a breath go and laugh. Gwen then taps my shoulder. "You smiling cause you get to get close with Finney?" She smiles innocently. "Shut up Gwen!"

We all finish lunch and get our last two classes done. "Finally! I thought I was gonna die in there!" Robin leans on Finn dramatically. "Oh shut up you idiot! It wasn't that bad." Finney shoots back. Robin just rolls his eyes and asks "We still going to your house (y/n)?" "No, I hate you guys and never want to see you again." He looks at me dumbly and I just laugh. "Did she mean that?" He asks Finn, "Dude that was sarcasm." "Oh yeah I knew that." Finn just snorts at his answer and we continue walking to my house.
