He didn't really know how long he ran, the adrenaline was already gone when he finally stopped. Hyunjin looked around and saw that he was in some unfamiliar street. Great, he's lost.
How was he going to find to Eunjeong Hyung now?
He continued to walk into a small park where he spotted an playground. It wasn't so dangerous to take a break right? Without thinking further he sat down on a swing, with his knees pressed against his chest. The tears started to fall as he tried to keep the cold away, since he had forgotten his jacket at home, even the bag his brother gave him.
Why would they kidnap his hyung?
What would he do? They took his brother and he didn't even know how to find him and save him. Hyunjin was lost and cold, he really didn't know that his life was going to turn out like this. He lost his brother and home, all in one night. He was alone and lost, no one would come.
Small sobs and broken whimpers were heard, the silence was all around him. It felt really suffocating and he felt like giving up on the world, just curling into a ball and go to sleep.
No.
He can't give up now. He would find his brother, the sooner, the better.
Hyunjin curls his frozen fingers into balls as he got up and began to walk. His determined thought were the only thing keeping him from thinking about the cold and loneliness
How long did he even walk? Hyunjin didn't know but he was determined to find his brothers friend. He let out a shaky breath and tugged his sweater closer to his body. Luck seemed to be on his side when he found a road leading to a larger open street with some shops. Maybe he could find someone who could help him find.
He stepped into a small shop and looked around. It was warmer inside and he tried to warm himself while looking for someone to come. Then, a small figure behind a shelf made him froze. The person had a sweet scent and he understood that it must be an omega.

Just as he expected, a man appeared from behind the shop and both of them stopped.
"Taeyong hyung?"
Taeyong looked shocked but began immediately walk towards the younger.
"Jinnie, what are you doing here?? Why are you only in a sweater? Do you know how cold it is now?"
Before the older could say anything more, Hyunjin broke into tears. Taeyong began to worry as he dragged his dongsaeng into the back of the shop in front of a small fire place and wrapped a blanket around him.
"Jinnie"
Taeyong's voice were soft as he set down a cup of hot chocolate in front of Hyunjin.
"Do you want to tell me what happened? Why were you all alone at this time?"
Hyunjin sat quiet and sipped on his chocolate, letting warmth engulf him before speaking.
"They took hyung."
"What?"
Hyunjin took a deep breath before telling the older the whole story. How his older brother had panicked and defended him, how he got lost and then finding the small flower shop. Taeyong sat and listened through everything with a deep frown and worry in his eyes. When Hyunjin finished, they sat in silence as Taeyong tucked him into more blankets.
"Hyung do you know what's going on? What does my brother not want me to know?"
Taeyong looked at Hyunjin before speaking up.
"You are too young, Jinnie."
Hyunjin stared at Taeyong and curled his fists into balls.
"What's with the 'you are too young'?!?! I just lost my brother and God knows what more he lied about!"
A pause of silence and Taeyong sighed.
"Maybe it's time for you to know after all. But you will never talk about this to anyone, promise me."
Hyunjin nodded and Taeyong seemed to sink deeper into the sofa.
"You know our group of friends?"
"Yeah?"
"All of us didn't meet because of a coincidence. Not the Mins, not you and your brother. Most of us knew each other since before but all of us didn't meet because we decided to."

Hyunjin looked confused but Taeyong continued.
"Our group of friends has pretty far age differences right? It is unusual, especially with us being so many, it's not a surprise the younger like you doesn't remember much."
"Hyung?"
"Jinnie, why do you think you and your brother move so often?"
Hyunjin's eyes widened as he realized the fact.
"Have you ever thought of why all of us others always seems to be nearby each time you move?"
He never realized, never thought about it.
"Those people you met tonight, they are bad people. The reason we keep the gang together is because we are running from those persons. When one of us move, all of us take the decision to move too. Your brother never really talk about the night you lost your home, does he?"
Hyunjin nodded and sank down, slightly curling into a ball.
"Who are those people?"
Taeyong shut his eyes.
"They are bad persons Jinnie. And they are after all of us."
Hyunjin was sitting inside Taeyong's car, on their way to Eunjeong Hyung. The elder had explained everything to Hyunjin and it honestly scared him.
Maybe it was better if he didn't find out. But Hyunjin wouldn't give up on finding his brother just because those people were dangerous.
There was absolutely no way the would just quit after finding out everything.
The car stopped when they got in front of Gi's house and they stepped out. Eunjeong or Gi, as they often called him, was standing at the door, waiting for them to come in.
Once they stepped into the house he spoke up.
"Hi Jinnie."
Hyunjin nodded and smiled a little. He always liked Gi for his calm personality.
"Do you want to tell me what happened to do you want to rest?"
Hyunjin shook his head.
"The sooner I tell you, the faster we can find my brother."
Gi nodded and they sat down at the dining table.
Once Hyunjin finished, Gi was already in deep thought.
"You know everything?"
Hyunjin nodded.
"Taeyong hyung told me."
Taeyong spoke up as he played with the hem of his shirt.
"Gi,maybe it's time for us to tell all of them so they'll be ready."
Gi looked on his friend and then back on Hyunjin. He slowly nodded.
"You have right."
They finished the discussion and Hyunjin was offered to live with Gi. He accepted ( what choice had he? ) and there he was, in his new room. Even if it was warm and cozy, it felt like something was missing.
Gi opened the door and stuck in his head.
"Jinnie you should get some sleep, it's pretty late."
"Don't worry hyung I'm not so tired. I think I'll be going for a walk."
Hyunjin got up and Gi smiled a little.
"Ok, do as you wish. Be careful out there, don't go to far. I don't want to let you go free if there's someone after you."
"Since when has someone ever let us be?"
Gi shook his head and blinked tiredly.
"There's a jacket for you hanging on the right side of the door. You can go to the garden but remember to get some rest."
Hyunjin nodded and made his way downstairs, putting on his shoes and jacket. He opened the door and walked out before drawing a long breath.
He was in fact tired but didn't feel like sleeping after all the the things happening.
Making his way down to the fence, he decided to just stand there while thinking.
He totally was unaware of a black car stopping in the corner of the street.
Then suddenly, the black car pulled up in front of Gi's house and Hyunjin froze as he felt a presence behind him.
"Hello pretty alpha.."
He barely let out a muffled scream as his world went dark.

Kichiro's Rampage
Meet Kichiro, the son of a samurai. A social outcast, he leaves his home with nothing but a musket and a sword, determined to carve himself a niche in a chaotic world of dragons and leviathans. This fiction incorporates LitRPG elements, but it's not set in a VR. It's set in a fantastical world based loosely on East Asia in the 16th and 17th Century, when the Ming Dynasty was on its last legs, with the addition of magic and monsters. I totally stole the stat tables from Exterminatus, the author of Everybody Loves Large Chests, so let me credit him for that. I'm new to writing so please don't hesitate to criticise, and reviews would be greatly appreciated.

Sara's (not really) Fabulous System Armageddon, Book I: The World Ended at Rush Hour
Planet Earth, Monday, October 7th, 2019. 18:30 * * On a fateful day, during rush hour in eastern North America, Heavens and Hell crumbled and fell from their higher dimension on Earth. It came from "above" but not the same above we regard in our tridimensional Euclidean reasoning. No, it came from "above" as in from a higher dimension. Bits and pieces of those places fell on Earth from all directions, this time in tridimensional Euclidean space. Satellites, the ISS, and space debris all were wiped clean from orbit. Even those that didn't crash with the falling debris were knocked off orbit by the shockwaves. On the ground, power distribution lines were disrupted and most power facilities were left abandoned by their dead staff. Most of these had emergency shutdown routines that engaged in a few days. Some others had a survivor among their staff that followed protocol and activated their SCRAM switches, stopping the power plant. Long-distance communication disappeared the internet along with it. The world was plunged into technological darkness. Nine hundred and ninety-nine out of every thousand human beings perished immediately in the pulse of magical energy from the torn spatial boundary. Spirits were rent asunder and vanished, their fate neither salvation nor damnation, only oblivion. The criteria used for this culling was latent magic potential. It didn't discriminate against education, gender, age, or ethnic group. But of the around seven million survivors, most would meet their doom moments later. Those on moving vehicles, like the ones driving on highways suddenly had to contend with high-speed uncontrolled cars and trucks driven by corpses. Trapped in their vehicles and helpless, they became part of the long snake of crushed metal. Very few survived. Those in the air or out in the sea were alone and probably unable to control their rides. Airplanes crashed, and ships kept their course or drifted away, depending on their autopilot. Several ended their own lives in utter despair after seeing their loved ones die in front of them. Another large group would die at the hands of other survivors. Violence and aggression became the norm. Only a few sparse pockets of not-so-sane survivors managed to band together and cooperate for the sake of mutual survival. The sole survivor in a five-over-one apartment building in Georgia, a girl became the keystone to humanity's survival. Sara's fabulous System Apocalypse had just started. She has only one remark. It was anything but fabulous. * * Updates every Wednesday and Sunday.
