The Battle to Escape Begins

(A/N: Hi I am back. Again, seems like lazyitus stayed longer than I thought. Well, anyway I would like to say I am skipping the Meliodas explaining the problems between him and Zeldris only because it is the exact same so I will start this chapter right after.)

Meliodas had ended his explanation on what he had done to Zeldris, the fact that he put his brother through so much pain. But even if what he did was bad, Meliodas had clearly had good intentions it was just that luck was not on his side.

Ban: Cap'n

Wild: Sir Meliodas

(Y/N): ....

Meliodas: and that's all... when he needed me there the most I wasn't there by his side. When he needed my help the most, I couldn't do anything for him. And my brothers most precious thing was taken away. Pretty pointless story, isn't it?

Ban: it's not a pointless at all.

(Y/N): Ban's right, look you can't put all the blame onto yourself. I mean seriously in your position you did all you could.

Meliodas: ....

Wild: so then... what about your other brother

Ban/(Y/N): WILD!

Meliodas: I'll save that story for another time...

Meliodas suddenly holds his had in pain

Ban: what's wrong cap'n?

Meliodas: what is this? Something's wrong... my memories of Estarossa are... why. Why can't I?

Just then the group feel a huge amount of dark magic in the area.

???: have you noticed as well? Like me, you are unable to remember anything. Hah... Hah...

Ban: this voice

Wild: there's no mistaking...

(Y/N): he's here

??? You are just so effeminate... so girly it makes me sick. As I thought, my son has no need of your existence... emotions.

The group turn to see the behemoth of demon king

Ban: so he's the demon king? He's frickin' huge

(Y/N): yeah, I was expecting his to around the cap's size.

Wild: he continually gains energy by greedily consuming all the living things of this world and constantly grows larger

Meliodas (still in pain): farther!

(A/N: DK will be the shortened name for demon king)

DK: I don't know how you were able to reclaim your sanity... but it seems you've returned to your original form. And... the fact you've come here means... I see... that rare beast led you here... so it seems you've realised the existence of the door.

Wild: alright, LET'S GO, SIR BAN, SIR MELIODAS, AND SIR FIRE (Wild charges at the demon king) TO MY LITTLE BROTHER WE'RE FORCEING OUR WAY THROUGH THE DEMON KING!!

The demon king flicks Wild away with on finger as the crashes through the ground.

Sins: WILD

Wild manages to catch himself skidding across the floor as the see something.

Wild: NO LOOK OUT

The sins find a giant sword hitting here them tearing up the land as the only one to be affected was Meliodas as both Ban and (Y/N) jump from rock to rock

DK: I told you already... you will never return to the other side

The demon king brings down his blade again at Meliodas only for Ban to snatch Meliodas out of the way

Meliodas: thanks Ban

Ban: he's got incredible power. (Ban waves his hand in the air) Gotcha. Physical Hunt

Nothing happens but Ban's body becomes heavy

Meliodas: what's the matter Ban?

Ban: wha?! I ended up... getting my own power absorbed

The two start to fall from the sky as Meliodas catches him above his head as they hit the ground

Meliodas: are you okay?

Ban: yeah

(Y/N): seems like it is my turn

(Y/N) turns SS2 and jumps at the demon king only for the demon king to slash at him as (Y/N) slides over the blade and jumping at him landing a punch at the demon king's stomach. (Y/N) then opens his hand forming a blue orb in his hand

(Y/N): BIG BANG ATTACK

The orb becomes large pushing the demon king back as it then explodes in his face only for when the dust clears that the demon king was unaffected by the attack.

Wild then comes out of know where charging at the demon king striking the exact location (Y/N) hit before he starts to rotate drilling into the demon king. Only for the demon king to grab him with two fingers throwing him to the ground.

DK: you just never learn

Wild flips across the ground to stop him from going too far

DK: I am the demon king... what do you take me for? As long as I'm standing guard... it doesn't matter who... it is impossible for anyone to pass through this door.

Meliodas: you're not the one who decides that

DK: yes I am

Thunder starts to strike everywhere near them

Meliodas: FULL COUNTER

Every bolt of lightning that was near reflects and hits the demon king

Wild: you reflected his attack?!

Meliodas: I reflected it, but it didn't have any effect... rather, it had an effect... but he completely absorbed all the reflected magic energy

Ban: Cap'n... what the heck is his ability? None of our attempts have even damaged him in the slightest.

His eponymous ability is the "the demon king" or is also known as... The Ruler

DK: you can keep fighting like this and you will vanish along with the dust... or give up and vanish out of my sight... either way, before you vanish Meliodas... I have something to ask of you.

Meliodas: ?

DK: just a moment ago you mentioned that you couldn't recall any of your memories of Estarossa... I, like you, am also unable to remember anything... ME! THE DEMON KING. Indeed, hundreds of millions of years have flown by since I have come down here to purgatory... but I remember my days spent in the underworld... I remember you, Meliodas, and Zeldris... I remember my servants, the ten commandments... the despicable goddess race... I can remember it all vividly. And yet I cannot remember a single thing about Estarossa, all I can recall is what amounts to summarize him, and now the time has come for me to make sure of it... go on... tell me what you remember about him.

Meliodas: ....... although he is the son of the demon king, he was born without the powers of darkness... a weak-hearted young boy who couldn't even kill a fly...

DK: pitying him, I, the demon king granted Estarossa a commandment

Meliodas looked in shock

DK: just as I thought...

Meliodas: what is the meaning of this?

DK: both you and I... along with everything that we know about Estarossa seems fabricated. That damned bastard... he pulled one over everyone

Meliodas: that bastard?... you don't mean?

DK: that's right. The other of the ten commandments who, like you, betrayed me... Gowther

(Y/N) (to Ban): wait Gowther? Does he mean our Gowther?

Ban: no, I think it was the Gowther that made our Gowther.

(Y/N): ahh

DK: Now I know, you can vanish

The demon king swings his sword at the group knocking them far away from the gate.

This goes on for a long time, decades even, as they keep attempting to get free.

(Y/N): jeez how many times have we been at this already

Meliodas: it's annoying, but I guess it's the thought that counts

Ban: seems like it

Wild: well, 6093 fights, 6093 defeats and 0 wins

Ban: are you seriously keeping track

(Y/N): I stopped counting at 5000

Meliodas: It's been 60 years since we started fighting the demon king... even we couldn't get to his feet

(Y/N): well, I did, but that was honestly because Ban bet that I couldn't

Ban: he kicked you away that doesn't count

(Y/N): sure does, and you owe me a drink

Ban: you know this regeneration thing is weird. I never think I would hear you wanting a drink

(Y/N): imagine how I feel, every time I regenerate it feels like someone new takes over my body but has all the same memories as me, extremely uncomfortable for a while till I get my strength back

Ban: ...

(Y/N): anyway. Cap you seem a bit blue, what's up?

Meliodas: oh, it's just, I don't think I should go back to the real world.

Wild: what are you talking about? Meliodas, what kind of unusual behaviour is this? I will never give up until I meet my younger brother again.

Meliodas: don't get me wrong... of course I want to go back with you guys...but there's a problem... Elizabeth... has a curse that no matter what I do she will always die in front of me... so if I never come back, she may-

Ban: you fool. (Ban moves over to Meliodas) The Princess's curse is already activated. And first! Would you really think she would agree with that? (Ban then takes a seat next to him) If you become that pessimist it will be the end. We will get out of here no matter what... and we will definitely save your loved one. Captain, you will dispel the princess's curse... and I will revive Elane... for the Fire, huh I don't know what he wants. (Ban then smacks Meliodas on the back sending him into Wild) It's that simple.

Meliodas: it's not as simple as you say... but... indeed you are right... decides, all the sins and Hawk are fighting, risking their lives for Elizabeth and me.

(Y/N): knowing that cap... could you just stop now. It's like how the old saying goes, "nothing worth having comes easy."

Meliodas: yeah

Wild: I don't mean to interrupt, but we still have to find some way to get through the "Ruler"

Ban: yeah, that power is tricky.

Meliodas: we have used every possible way to get past him, but nothing works.

(Y/N): I haven't used everything yet

The group looked shocked.

Ban: and you didn't tell us why?

(Y/N) every time we went against the Demon King, I used another technique of mine

Meliodas: are you taking about that red haired power of yours

(Y/N): nope, that power I want to save till we know that we can get past him.

Wild: so, what is what you are going to do Sir Fire?

(Y/N): it will take some time for me to build up the power but while I do that we should keep trying to get out, the Demon King might be powerful, but he most certainty not impossible to beat

The group sit round as a figure far away watches them and seems to have been for some time now.

???: I guess I can help them out

As the figure pulls out a sword with no blade at all and a huge scythe is strapped to their back

???: after all that power will kill you if you don't have the correct means of using it.
