Natsu pov:
“Brrrrrrrmmmmmm!!!!” My arms were outstretched on either side and I was bent waist up by 90 degrees. The best pilot in the world sat on my back with his goggles on and his face beaming with concentration. “Fighter jet B-1342 to captain! The runway is clear to land captain!” I said. “Yes! We are ready to land!”
I came to a halt in my garden and got down on my knees. Captain slid off my back and grinned widely at me. “How was your ride, captain Masato?” “Ne chan! That was so fun! I love playing airplane with you!” I chuckled and ruffled his head.
He was one of the kids who stayed in my neighborhood. All the kids knew that I flew planes and often came to play with me and I would give them ‘airplane’-back rides now and then. And since Masato kun was the oldest, 6 and a half years old, he was nicknamed captain by the other kids. And they would follow his orders whenever we played ‘airplane’. They were just so adorable.
I sat more relaxed on the grass and sighed as all the 6 kids in the neighborhood ran to me and fell all over me. I was running around the whole block while playing with the kids and I was tired. I patted the head of the little girl who was lying across my lap and laughing with the other kids.
I heard a car horn and I looked out my garden fence and the person in the car waved to me. “Hey Natsu! We have another test flight!” “Hey Rei! Alright, I’m coming!” I turned to the kids and chuckled when I saw them pouting. I poked Masato’s nose. “Don’t worry, I’ll be back in a little while and then I’ll read you some new facts about airplanes. How does that sound?”

The kids cheered and began to play by themselves. I got up and dusted my jeans, locked my house and walked to the car. I got into the passenger seat and Rei sped off towards the airport.
Rei was a fried from the army. I had met him when we had training with the army and the navy. Well, it was more like a competition where we would have a tournament to see the best people in the army. On one of the rounds, the opposing team cheated and I ended up getting a large gash in my arm. It was bleeding very badly and unfortunately we didn’t have any doctors available that day. But thanks to Rei’s medical knowledge, he had helped stop the bleeding and then I was rushed to a hospital.
When the doctors had seen me then, they said that if it wasn’t for Rei’s quick thinking, I would have lost too much blood and I would have been in grave danger. And ever since then, we got close to each other and became best friends. “Earth to Natsu? You’re spacing out again….” Rei pouted and I chuckled while folding my legs on the seat. “Just remembering how we met.”
He chuckled and shook his head. He grinned and I raised an eyebrow at him. “You’re going to be really happy today.” “What makes you say that?” “You’re going to test out a new Airbus A380….the largest passenger plane in the world.” My eyes went wide and I opened my mouth not believing my luck. “No. Frikkin’. Way!!!!!!” I nearly squealed.
Rei chuckled. “Yes frikkin’ way. Told you you’d be happy.” “Happy?! I’m ecstatic!!!”
>>Timeskip
“Fuel check, ignition check, flaps check.” I had the big headset on my head and I heard the members from the control tower as they asked me if I was ready to fly. “I’m ready to rumble!” I took a hold of the steering and moved the throttle to about ¾ the engine power. The plane began to move and I felt my chest swell with excitement. The Airbus A380 was known to be the biggest plane in the world and had very good acceleration and speed.

I reached the take off speed and pulled the steering up. The nose of the plane lifted and I slowly accented to 40000feet in the air. I grinned and looked out the window and saw the white puffy clouds around me. I was moving at 330 miles an hour [a/n: I think that’s the speed and altitude at which planes generally fly, but I’m not too sure. Its been so long since I travelled by air, so if its wrong, please forgive me ^^]
I put the plane on auto pilot and went to look around the electric system and make sure everything was functioning properly. There seemed to be no errors and no heating or shocks in the system. “I’d say this baby’s a pass.” I grinned.
I headed back to the cockpit. I put on the headset again and switched off the auto pilot. “Natsu to control tower. This baby is ready to roll.” I heard people clapping in the background and Rei congratulated me. “Great to hear! You can take a turn and head back to runway 5. Its clear for landing.” “Roger that!”
I began to take a smooth turn but froze when I saw a hot air balloon in front of me. My eyes widened and I panicked for a second. There was no one in the balloon but I was sure I would crash into it. “Shoot!” I cursed and worried voices came in my headset asking me if everything was alright. To prevent the wing from hitting the balloon, I let the plane fall suddenly by a few feet and I felt myself lose control over the steering.
I felt the plane begin to lose altitude too quickly and sweat ran down my cheek as I desperately tried to regain control. I plummeted fast and I saw an intense bright light appear in front of the window. I shut my eyes tightly and my life flashed in front of my eyes. So this was the end of me huh?
I was thrown back roughly against the back of the cockpit and I gasped as the wind was literally knocked out of my lungs. The plane shook like crazy with extreme and intense turbulence as the plane crashed on the belly to the ground and slid a good 100 meters until it finally came to a stop.
I groaned and felt my body tremble in pain. I took the wall of the cockpit for support and stood up shakily. “Ouch….damn that hurt….but atleast I’m still alive.” I looked out the window and frowned. I saw a huge dense cover of trees that was blocking the glass. I picked up the headset that had fallen off and tried to contact the control tower, but I got no signal. Frustrated, I shook my head and walked out of the cockpit to the exit door. I opened the air tight door and poked my head out.
I frowned even more when I saw trees all around, quite a few of which had been uprooted by the crash. I looked down at the ground. It was quite high but there were some branches that could help me get down. I climbed down carefully and made it to the ground. I should probably head out to find a surrounding civilization and make a phone call. And that way, the line could be tapped and they would know of my location.
I got past the crushed trees and made it to a slightly clear pathway between the dense trees. I walked quite a long distance but I couldn’t find any civilization. How far had I gone out of the city? Had I actually crashed in a forest cover?
I heard a rustle in the leaves and a snap of a twig. I narrowed my eyes in that direction. “Hello? Is anyone there?” I wasn’t afraid, but I was alert. I heard another twig snap behind me and I turned around. But I realized that was a mistake when I was hit on the back of my neck and I fell to the ground unconscious.

I was Born the Unloved Twin
You've probably heard this sort of story before. Once upon a time, blah blah blah a boy and a girl fell love and everything was beautiful and perfect, except for this thing called life getting in their way. He was this cool foreign prince and she was basically perfect. Really it's a very boring run of the mill story. I'll even spoil it for you, they kill the villainess at the end. Not the type of story I'd read personally. So where do I fit into this?Apparently I'm her older twin sister and the very very lucky fiance to the foreign prince. You know, the dead villainess? Sucks I know. Now I get to do it all over again from the beginning.Curse my life ------ So you're somewhat interested in what this thing is about and looking to see if it's even worth reading? Let's get the worst of it out of the way first: This is a boring story, very tedious, mundane and downright just boring. It's too slow, the characters are too confusing & make possibly retarded choices. It's an isekai/reborn type Slice of Life novel that plays on the villainess noble girl trope but the MC gets no OP cheats, no magical powers, not even some satisfying face slapping or such self-fulfillment fantasy. Wow, I'm doing a terrible job advertising this thing. If you're somehow still interested, if you were ever interested how an average modern person, reborn with all their host's memories, could live out their life in this situation, mending personal relationships one step at a time, or wondered what happened in between all the time skips in other novels, maybe give Unloved Twin a try. This is an awkward novel, the pacing is slow, and there is no time skips. For some reason still, I really love this little story I'm making. Talk to me on: https://discord.gg/ARkSMFPbew

Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!
