"WHERE IS QUACKITY? HE LEFT ME." Matty yelped towards her mic, her chat growing crazy and trying to help her guess who the impostors were.

Her blue eyes scanned those who were left and let out a gasp before looking towards her camera, "Chat... Big Q is dead." She dramatically said with wide eyes.

: SERVES HIM RIGHT. HE LEFT U FFS

Now, who was she left to talk to in this lobby? She can't bring herself to speak to someone even if her whole life depended on it.

She chewed on her lip nervously and tapped her index finger on her desk in a rapid manner. Her nerves getting the best of her like it always was when she's in a foreign situation.

"Matty? Weren't you with Quackity this round?" She heard someone say. She didn't know who it was since Dream never really introduced her to the others anyway and just immediately started the game. She suppose she could interact and get to know them more when the game resumes again. If she doesn't get killed.

"Um.. yeah I was. He just left me with Karl and disappeared and never came back. And when me and Karl decided to find him, somebody had already called an emergency and then I finally saw why he didn't come back." She recited.

God, she thought it felt so scary to speak during the game. It felt so serious and she was afraid she might stutter or miss a minor detail that can make her seem suspicious. It's just a game but it made her feel jittery.

Was it because her new found friend had already disappeared minutes into the game and now she doesn't know how to act? Or is it because she's in a game full of new people— or to rephrase, new and very known people, that it worries her if she's overstepping a line?

Yeah, thinking about that definitely made me feel better, Matty sarcastically thought as she wiped her hands on her sweatpants. Just calm down, if you don't, you might do something very stupid and God knows you're stupid enough.

"Hmm. It seems kinda weird. Because you might be covering for Karl and he's actually imposter or he's covering for you?" She heard Dream say. Finally someone she recognized in a room filled with strangers' voices.

"What? Dream. No! I swear to you that I'm not an imposter. And so is Matty, we both literally just stood at where Quackity left us which is in cams and we just waited." Karl defended, "Matty is clear because we were together the whole time. I swear."

"Yes, we promise promise." Matty added.

"Guys, there's eight seconds left, let's skip."

"Alright skip skip!"

Everybody skipped and the game resumed.

Matty watched as the little characters began to scatter out of the room to do God knows what. Her own character glued in the same spot.

"Uh, Matty?"

She perked up as she saw the familiar yellow just beside her cyan one, as corrected by a loud british person in the game. She figured it was a teenager with how croaky and expressive their voice was. It's not her fault that she doesn't know every single color in the color wheel or whatever it was.

"Yes? Hello?" She whispered as she saw Karl's character.

She smiled widely at how his character inched slowly towards her. A sight that not only made her palms sweat like crazy but something that made her whole chat go wild. Numerous people had pointed out the smile on her face reeking of adoration but she didn't see it as she was focused on the game or someone.

"Do you want to stick together this round? I think you're not imposter and my heart says to trust you." He whispered back.

Heat managed to burn its way up to Matty's cheeks and she'd pressed her cold palm on it to somehow cool herself down. She was completely unaware that on the other side of her computer, Karl was also sporting a red blush across his lightly freckled cheeks, not knowing where his sudden confidence came from.

Matty was fighting the urge to roll her eyes at his comment.

He knows how to smoothly slip in little flirty remarks huh? And to someone he just met! The audacity... This is just a bit. Just a little joke. I will just ride along with it. That's alright, right?

"My heart says to trust you too." She finally mumbled, winking towards her chat that was going bat-shit crazy at their interaction.

: mY hEArt sAys To tRusT yoU *sigh*

: MY MANZ KARL GETTING BOLD ASF

: 7.5/10 for effort mr. karl jacobs !!

: its always the fucking heteros

She heard Karl giggle through her headphones and chuckled lightly herself. "So, where are we going first?" Karl whispered towards her.

She started to run around him in circles and he did the same.

"I don't really know. Do you have any tasks left? I've finished mine." She said, still muttering the words quietly.

"I've finished mine too."

"I kinda want to watch the stars but how will we watch it..."

"Well—"

"Why are we whispering?" A new voice joined.

"Holy shit. Where the fuck—"

Matty yelled and a flash of red reflected on her skin. Her mouth dropped into an o shape as she saw Dream's little character stab hers.

"WHAT THE FUCK?" She said, surprised that he'd kill her. "I was just chilling!"

She watched as her character's body flopped into the ground next to...

"Oh no! Karl! They got you too." She laughed as their little game ghosts hovered over the bodies.

"Who killed you?" She asked as she went closer to him before going around his character again, him following to do the same.

"Tommy." He giggled, still not over his sudden death, before quickly adding, "Hey, at least we can watch the stars now! C'mere. Let's go." He excitedly said as he began to lead the way, a grin on his lips as he moved his keys.

: they gonna go stargazing. i want

: OOOOOO BABYYYY

MEEEE ON A RIIIIIIIDE

Matty quickly followed him, a stupid smile on her face.

"Did you know Dream didn't introduce me to the other players? So uh... I don't know who Tommy is." She stated, trying to start a conversation.

"HE DIDN'T WHAT?"

Meanwhile, Dream smiled to himself as he quickly left the room, "At least now they can go and watch the stars. They whisper so loud, I literally heard them from the other room!" He told his chat.

: dream the matchmaker

"Dream the matchmaker?" He read out loud before letting out a laugh as he began to do his tasks. "Yes. I agree with that."

: i'm glad u killed their characters
