Coming off tour is icy. Halfway through the tour, Curie Grant started making eyes at Stevie and I got possessive. Her cocaine use has also gotten extremely out of hand and it's blowing a hole in our finances. We've argued about it several times. I want to save our money, put it away for a rainy day because this job isn't guaranteed forever. Stevie wants to spend it because we have it. Her mind frame is Life is short, spend the damn money. Then John walked in on Curie andC+ Christine having an affair. Which makes me feel extremely creepy because Stevie was his first target and had I not stepped in when I did, who knows what would've happened.

Now, John's a mean drunk and the following day Christine came to work with a black eye and a hefty bruise on her forehead. Stevie and Robin worked to cover the bruises up for at least an hour and a half, so she could go on stage looking relatively unharmed.

We're starting to record album number two and we're going to be recording in Sausalito. John and Christine are talking to divorce lawyers, and Stevie and I are just plain unsettled. I've turned Curie and stupid Ken Calliet away from her rather aggressively several times and she thinks I'm being possessive, and I'm trying to own her. I just think I'm being her husband.

Sara is walking, running, and talking up a storm. She's two now, and she's my prized possession. Like Stevie, Sara is very artistic, and she is currently on the floor scribbling away with her crayons.

"So, we may have a problem," Mick says walking into the studio.

Christine lights a cigarette and sighs, "What?"

"We made a heap of money off Fleetwood Mac, Fleetwood Mac. But I may have spent it all." Mick states.

"WHAT!" I yell.

"The limos and hotel rooms and fancy things. I spent all of our money." Mick twiddles his thumbs.

"IS THAT WHY WE'RE IN THIS SHITHOLE AND MY TWO-YEAR-OLD IS SURROUNDED BY BEER BOTTLES, GARBAGE, AND COCAINE!" I yell.

"Partially," Mick states.

"PARTIALLY! JESUS CHRIST!" I spit.

Sara starts to whine because she knows daddy is angry. Stevie in retaliation grabs my shoulder.

"Maybe we should break for the day and reconvene tomorrow," John says eyeing his soon to be ex-wife.

"Good idea," Stevie says picking up our brown-eyed brunette.

I don't take them back to our apartment, I take them to our brand-new home.

"Lindsey...is this?" She trails off

"Yes Steph, this is our new home. Robin couldn't watch Sara today because she was taking care of our apartment." I say opening the door where Ginny greets us yapping away.

"Well, give me the grand tour." She says shifting the weight of Sara to her other arm.

The basement is a full-fledged recording studio and an office for me. The main floor has a gorgeous dining room and kitchen. A living room, two bathrooms, and a guest bedroom. The second floor has six bedrooms and four bathrooms.

"Oh Lindsey, it's beautiful. Thank you so much." Stevie smiles and kisses me.

"Let me show you Sara's room," I say taking the chubby child from her mother.

"She has her own room! We can finally be alone at night again!" Stevie cheers.

Sara's room is painted pale pink with a gorgeous white crib and dressers. She's mostly potty trained so there isn't a changing table just a bunch of toys.

That night, while we lay in bed after christening our new home, Stevie rolls onto my chest.

"Will we be okay, I mean with no money," Stevie asks.

"Angel, you and I have money. Our house is paid for we've had the same car since High School, though we finally but reverse in it. And we have our nest egg. If you start cutting back on buying the cocaine, we'll be fine." I sigh rubbing her back.

"But I have no energy without it. This rock and roll thing is hard especially with a two-year-old. How am I going to make it through her terrible twos without it?" She pouts.

"You'll be fine. It's not good for you anyway." I shrug.

"It's perfectly fine for me." She states and rolls away from me.

The next morning, as we're eating breakfast getting ready to drive all the way back to Sausalito, she looks at me.

"What do you think this album is going to be like with John and Christine?"

"Honestly, I don't know." I groan.

Recording this album is awful. Plain and simple. We can't afford a producer, so I've stepped in.

"Stevie, I love Silver Springs I really do, but it's just too damn long. I don't wanna know is the perfect length." I state.

"Fine, if we have to substitute a song at least it's that one. But I swear to god Lindsey if you change one more of my songs I will walk out of this studio." She hisses

It's normal for one of us to storm out on the daily. When she heard "Go your own way' and asked what it was about, and I told her it was essentially about Sara's birth she flipped and stormed out. That was literally four hours ago. I'm starting to think that we might not make it through this album.

It's official, John and Christine are divorced and she's fucking Curie Grant. At least it got him away from my wife. Rumours, our album sold forty million copies in one week and I have been given the reins on the next album as well.

This album put us through the wringer, I can't help but think it brought us closer together. Not just as a married couple but as a band as well. Stevie's been getting antsy though. She has so many good songs that I would love to use but having three singer/songwriters we can't use all of her songs. She's been thinking about a solo album. Though the idea makes me nervous, I'll always support her.
