《The bucket siblings and the chocolate factory》you've won

Lily and Charlie looked eachother for a moment before Charlie took a hold of his sister's hand and followed Wonka to the elevator.
As soon as Will stared to leave the room the lights went off and all the macienes powered off. All of the oompa loompas left the room while Will, Charlie and Lily put their goggles away in a bin that was on the wall.
"So we still have so much to see, how many children are left?"
Will turned around and noticed that there were only me and Charlie stood Infront of him.
"Well there are two children left will but if your talking about ticket winners then Charlie is the only one left"
A wide smile spreads across Will's face as he grasped Charlie's hand shook Charlie's hand for a strangely long amount of time while speaking to him.
"Where did all the other children go, oh well, my dear boy this means that you've won, I do congratulate you and I know it was going to be you right from the start, I knew you weren't like those other rotten little kids"
He took Charlie's hand and pulled it from his and turned around.
"Now we must keep going luckily we have the great glass elevator to-" He bumped into it and fell to the floor "- speed things along"
He got back up and lightly poked lily with his cane when she began to giggle. He opened the door and the three of them all filled into the elevator. Mr Wonka pressed a button labeled up and out, the elevator began to move up.
"Up and out?" Charlie asked "what kind of room is that?"
Will just gave him a creepy looking smile then said.
"Oh my goodness well have to pick up a lot more speed if we're going to make it through"
"Wait you don't mean -"
"Yeah, I do"
"But it's made if glass, we will smash into thousands of tiny little pieces!"
Charlie looked up at Wonka who just laughed like a crazy man. Charlie pulled his sister into him and they both closed there eyes bracing for the impact.
When they heard smashing but didn't feel any different they opened their eyes to see that they were perfectly fine and Wonka has pushed a button to make they elevator fly.
They looked below them and saw the other four children all walking out the factory with their parents. Agustus was covered in chocolate and eating himself, Violet was doing flips and she was still blue, Veruca and Mr Salt were covered in garbage and finally Mike was paper thin and double the height of his father. Lily saw Veruca turn her head to look at them and turned to Charlie.

"Hey Charlie watch this, keep looking at the rich girl"
Charlie and Will looked down at the girl.
"Daddy I want a flying glass elevator"
Lily said doing a perfect imitation of the girl as Veruca's lips moved forming the exact words Lily had said.
"Lily, be nice" Charlie said playfully pushing his sister as he laughed along with her.
"So where do you two live?"
Lilith stopped laughing and a frown made its way onto her face as Charlie pointed their house out to the man. Willy Wonka the proceeded to fly towards the house and crash the elevator through the roof.
"I think somebody's at the door"
The doors opened and the bucket siblings stepped out. Charlie went over and hugged his mother as lily went and stood in front of her father with her head bowed.
"Look at the state of your dress, we payed good money for that" He told her seeing the dried chocolate stained from the river. He slapped her across the face making Wonka flinch and Charlie's smile disappear. Will decided to step out and defend the girl
"Hey there was no need for that, it wasn't her fault"
Nathan looked up and Will as recognition flashed through his eyes.
"Will" he stated
"Nathan" He responded, both of their tones laced with venom.
"Do you two know eachother?" Charlie asked
"Don't worry about it" His dad told him in a stern voice. Charlie turned back to his mum.
"Mum this is Willy Wonka he said that I've won something"
"Not just something, I'm giving you the entire factory"
Everyone in the room turned to Wonka looking utterly shocked. He was giving Charlie the entire factory.
"Really?"
"Yeah so are you ready to leave all this behind and come and live with me at the factory?"
"Would my family be able to come too?"
"Oh my dear boy of course they wouldn't, you can't run a factory with your family looking over you like dead geese, no offence"
"None taken, jerk"
"So if I lived at the factory I would never be able to see my family again?"
"Yeah consider it a bonus, except for your sister I would allow her to come if she wished"
Lily's eyes widened and she turned to Charlie who had gone into deep thought. If he accepted the offer he could take his sister away from his parents so that they would never be able to hurt her again and they would both have a good place to live in.

"Alright" He spoke up and his parents dropped everything in their arms and stared in disbelief at their son "on on condition"
"And that is?"
"I am able to send a portion of the money I make to my family so they would no longer be poor"
"That seems alright to me, so you're coming?"
He thought for a moment then smiled
"Yes"
Everyone else was silent not believing that this was happening. They had no idea how to react. Wonka then averted his gaze from Charlie and looked at Lilith.
"Lily, would you like to come?"
Lily just stood frozen in her place. Was he being serious, would she really be allowed to leave this horrid place forever.
"Are you sure you want me to?" She finally asked.
"Of course" Mr Wonka said
"Please say yes" Charlie begged her.
A grin appeared on her face as she ran across the room back over to where Wonka stood, he picked her up as soon as she got there and she hugged him.
"Thank you"
Charlie looked at his mom and dad who still were not able to speak due to shock.
"I'm sorry mom, dad, but I had to do this, I can't let you hurt Lilith anymore. Goodbye"
He turned around and walked into the elevator and Wonka followed him.
"Goodbye grandpa Joe" lily called out
"Goodbye children, I hope I'll see you again at some point in the future"
Wonka then pressed a button so that the doors closed and the elevator went back up into the air flying away from the small house and back to the factory. Leaving the family absolutely bewildered.
"Are you alright Lily?" Will asked her, he held her jaw and turned her face to look at the bruise appearing on her cheek and frowned.
"I'm fine, it doesn't matter" She moved her face out of his hand and smiled at him "Why do you want me and Charlie to live with you Will?"
"Well for one I couldn't leave you in that house, it's not safe and two when I was having my annual haircut I noticed a grey hair and I realized that I'm starting to get old"
"You're not old" both children said "My dad said that sometimes people get grey hairs from stress" Charlie told him and Wonka smiled at them.
"Thank you anyway I started thing that I needed to find an heir, someone to look after the factory and take care of the oompa loompas for me when I leave and I found one, you Charlie"
"Is that why you sent out the tickets?" Lily asked.
"Yeah and I set up little tests to see which if the children were rotten and which one was good"
They carried on towards the factory and lily fell asleep on Wonkas shoulder. They went through the hole in the roof that they had made earlier and Wonka pressed a button that said living space.
The glass elevator took them to a hallway with identical doors lining the walls. They exited the elevator and walked down the hallway. Charlie saw that all the rooms had names on them as he walked past. Kitchen, Living room, Office and Wills room.
They walked all the way to the end of the hall where there were two doors that were opposite eachother both with the words guest room written in them. Wonka opened the left door and let Charlie in.
"This will be your room" He told him as Charlie looked around. The room was huge compared to the attic back home. There was a desk with a little lamp on, a double bed, a wardrobe, some draws and a bay window. It even had its own bathroom.
"This is brilliant"
"I'm glad you like it"
"Thank you Mr Wonka, for everything"
"It's my pleasure Charlie and call me Will, now you should probably go to sleep as there will be a lot of things to do around the factory tomorrow"
Charlie smiled at him and Wonka walked out I the room closing the door behind him.
He walked into the opposite room that looked identical to Charlie's. He walked over to the bed and carefully layed the little girl into it and pulled the covers up over her. He looked at her for a moment to make sure she didn't wake up and when he saw her smile a little he grinned and left her room quietly closing the door.

A Virtual Invasion
An invasion from another dimension is shut down by an Empire's traitor and the world has a scant few decades to build the strength to resist a multidimensional Empire. How will the world fair when no one even knows its doom is one barred gate away? Fortunately, the traitor has a plan. Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
