"Mommy, I'm going to school now!"

Leon who was already at the doorstep yelled whilst Liv was on the kitchen, cleaning up after cooking their breakfast and making Leon's lunchbox.

"Alright, goodbye, Leon. Have fun!"

"I will, Mommy."

From where Liv and Leon were, they were still visible from each other therefore, they waved each other's goodbye. It was one of the highlight of Liv's day, seeing Leon out to get so school and always being happy with it.

"Daddy! ¿Dónde estás?", Leon shouted, looking for Vernon who is going to drive him to school. (Where are you?)

The bedroom door opened with Vernon coming out from there. "¿Estás listo para ir ahora?", Vernon asked Leon as he walks closer to him at the doorstep. (Are you ready to go now?)

"¡Sí!" (Yes!)

"Liv.", Vernon called.

"Yeah?"

"Ven is already awake, she might come out soon.", He said, referring to their second child — their daughter.

Liv gave him a big a smile with a nod. "Okay. I'm almost done here nevertheless."

"I'll be back soon.", Vernon walked a couple of steps closer to the door but still was staring at Liv.

"Alright, drive safe."

Vernon smiled at her for the last time as a reassurance, before he opened the front door for Leon and him to go out.

Not that long after the boys left, a little girl holding her little blanket came out from the bedroom which Vernon left opened.

"Good morning, Ven.", Liv dusted the lower part of her shirt, already finished with the cleaning, and walked towards her cute little daughter.

"Mommy!", Ven became so happy as she saw Liv, and that she even quickened her small paces just to swiftly go and hug her Mom.

Liv crouched and spread out her hands to welcome Ven in her embrace. It made her feel like she was melting when her small daughter hugged her, it was soft and delicate yet she could feel that Ven was already using all her energy.

"Did you have a good sleep?", Liv asked as soon as Ven took a step back, caressing her cheeks with her thumb.

"Yes!", Ven nodded excitedly, her long curly hair bouncing as she did.

Liv wanted to pinch Ven's cheeks so much, but she was just holding herself back because she was scared that she wouldn't get to control herself and would end up hurting her.

Liv turned on the television to entertain Ven while she did some more chores that was close to where Ven was to keep an eye on her.

It wasn't that long after Vernon got back. He walked a little more inside and Ven was as excited as earlier after seeing Liv when she saw Vernon heading towards her.

Vernon held her and lifted her up. "Didn't we see each other earlier already?", Vernon baby talked her before he planted a kiss on her forehead.

Ven just giggled, still excited over the fact that she sees her Dad.

Once Vernon saw Liv who was behind the sofa holding a feather duster, gazing affectionately at her husband and daughter, he smiled at her, the slightly shy kind.

Vernon gently placed Ven down on the floor mat infront of the TV, before he walked towards where Liv was and didn't spare a second as he gave her kiss on the lips as soon as the gap between them was close.

"What were you doing?"

Liv brought up the feather duster that she was holding with a beam. "Dusting the cabinets."

Vernon gave her an even wider smile. "Do you want to go outside?"

"Right now?", Her eyebrows lifted, thinking about his suggestion.

"If you'd like to."

"Sure.", She nodded, her eyes sparkling as she looks at him. "Let me just go change my and Ven's clothes."

"I'll do Ven's. You can go ahead and take your time."

She could really give him a tight hug right then, but she was worried that she would get some dust that was on her clothes to go on his.

"Thank you. I could really use a shower right now."

Vernon stepped aside, clearing the way for her, and at some point, Liv did her business at the bathroom inside their bedroom.

She went out of the shower with only a towel wrapped around her body, and right at the moment when she was about to open the closet, Vernon walked in with the purpose on getting Ven's change of clothes.

No one really knew why he didn't get it while she was still in the shower.

Vernon closed the door behind him, gulping at the same time.

"Why?", Liv asked as he paved his way towards her, his gaze never leaving her.

"I need to get Ven's clothes.", Her ears didn't ignore the fact that his voice was deep and guttural.

Liv was quite aware of the situation, but chose to still be oblivious about it. "I'll get it for you.", She offered, before opening the closet and grabbed a set of toddler's clothes.

"Here.", She handed him the clothes once he was already infront of her.

"And some other things too."

Her eyes blinked a few times in confusion and part of it was getting the thought that she knew what he meant. "What other things?"

Vernon moved even closer to her, making their distance unmeasurable anymore. And as he lowered his head towards her, a grin grew on Liv's face as she held his shoulders and made him turn around.

With her hands on his back, she pushed him towards the door and even opened it for him.

He turned around to face her when she stopped pushing him, with him outside and her inside the bedroom. "Why. .", He whispered in a whining tone.

She chuckled by the way he reacted. "Didn't you say we were going outside?"

He pouted, his eyes resembling of a puppy's.

His face was irresistible, yet she managed to shook her head, not giving in, and giving her a sly grin for the last time, she gradually closes the door, not breaking eye contact with him in the process.

"Sí, eso será todo.", Liv grabbed the plastic from the lady that contained the pastries that they ordered. "¡Gracias!" (Yes, that will be all), (Thank you!)

After residing in Spain for about three years and a half, Liv became fluent with the country's language, but she still uses her native language at home while Vernon uses Spanish with the kids.

It wasn't easy since remembering things wasn't really her forte but Vernon was really of big help, and she mostly learned everything from him.

"Where should we have them?", Vernon asked as soon as they were outside the bakery.

"What about the park?", She suggested.

"Sound's nice.", Vernon smiled at her before lifting his daughter up and held her in his arms as the walk to the park was slightly long.

They leisurely walked their way to the park, and settled in a bench once they got there.

They were as happy as they could ever get, the sun shined with the right amount of heat perfectly blending in with the breeze, and the sight of Ven running around the grass made an overwhelming contribution to that bliss that they were feeling.

"Leon had the same age as her right now at that time when we met again.", Liv said, gazing at the little girl who was excitedly playing around.

"Right.", Vernon gradually diverted his attention to her. "I can't believe it has been a long time now."

Liv nodded in agreement to him, smiling at the thought of what contained her life at the moment, but was also somewhat sad that time really was flying fast.

The following hours, the walked around the city and at some point had a road trip which lasted for hours. They didn't get home until the time of Leon's school being over, hence, when the time did come, they waited for him outside of the school building.

Leon was adorably looking around for Vernon who he knew was the only one who was supposed to take him home.

"Leon!", Vernon and yelled, calling for him and as soon as his sight landed on them, a huge smile drew on his face as he ran towards them. .

. . excited over the thought of giving them hugs.
