Dr. Moore has came in some, but between him and Holly they placed a port in Nicolas yesterday. They had said it would be much easier for the chemotherapy.

Holly actually carried Nicolas to the area where they were performing it because he was so scared. Dr. Moore was more than ready to roll the bed out of the room, but Nicolas was shaking with his monitors beeping with how high his heart rate had gotten. It shocked me when Holly just scooped him up and put him on her hip his pulse went down and he went easily with her.

My heart went from breaking because I couldn't be with him while having the port placed, to a calm feeling over me. All because Holly being the great doctor she is stepped up and had my son eased within seconds. I know they aren't supposed to do that and the child is supposed to be on the bed, but Dr. Moore said it would be best for her to carry him to keep him calm.

It was a sight to see my son at seven stands a little over four foot and weighs right at sixty-five pounds. While Holly I am guessing is five foot three, based off where she stands when next to me at my six foot, carrying Nicolas.

Overall, Nicolas was not out of the room that long but it felt like it took hours when it was barely less than one hour he was with Holly. It all made it much easier for the chemo today with him having the port.

Nicolas is taking a nap after the chemo, but had to get some anti-nausea medicine because it bothered him today a little more. Which Holly told me was normal, it may come and go depending on how he feels prior to having the chemo completed.

Tony has been here all day with us, not having any bookings today. We both are waiting on the results on who would be the better donor for Nicolas, that is if one of us at least match his blood type. Neither of us gave it a second thought and just happy if one of us can do it.

Holly had Jewels come in to draw more blood for another blood sample from Nicolas.

"Jack do you need to get out of the room to walk for a minute?" Tony's voice comes from my side.

"No." I sigh and pinch the bridge of my nose.

"Your leg is bouncing none stop and you have not left the room for anything since you guys got here." Tony pats my shoulder.

I shake my head and look over to Nicolas.

"He is resting, I will be right here and won't move from this room at all Jack. You know I will watch over him."

A knock sounds on the door, and Holly steps in.

"I was just coming to check on everyone. The results are not back just yet." She smiles.

"Actually, Dr. Calista, could you tell Jack here he needs to get out of the room for some fresh air? He has not left this room and I am worried my friend will need your help because of lack of something about not getting sun light." Tony goes a little over board.

I give him a glare that doesn't phase him in the least and makes him literally smirk at me.

"Lack of vitamin D." Holly stiffles her laugh. "I will have Jewels come in many times while you step out to stretch your legs and get some air."

Letting out a defeated sigh, I stand from the couch and kiss Nicolas's forehead.

"I just hate not being here if he wakes up from his nap."

"I will call you if he wakes up." Tony pats my back and pushes me just a tad to the door.

Holly steps outside and I follow her. "Jewels would you keep check on Nicolas for us. I am going to take Jack out to get some fresh air." Holly asks sweetly to her sister when we get to the nurse station.

"Of course." Jewels smiles and takes Holly's computer that she closed shut.

I walk to the elevator and Holly joins me a second later.

"You don't have to come with me." I whisper, even if I secertly would enjoy her company.

"I know, but I could do with some fresh air myself. Right now we are waiting on lab work and he is napping. I have nothing much to do." She shrugs.

"No other patients?"

"Nope. Not unless the other physician on the floor needs assistance. I have been studying for my boards coming up when I am not with you guys or going over lab work for Nicolas."

"It is hard to remember sometimes your still an intern. It seems as if you have been doing this for years." I chuckle some, as we walk out the door.

The air hits hard and my lungs welcome it in. It has taken a cold bite to it since we have been here. October is almost over and before long November starts.

"I have choose to stay with peds and now just making sure to go over all I can." Holly smiles and closes her eyes some raising her head to the partly cloudy sky.

Her skin is flawless and being out here I can tell just how beautiful she is.

"You will pass your boards with ease. Just like your doing with my son." I smile at her.

Holly opens her eyes and looks at me. "It hasn't been easy Jack to get to this stage in being a doctor. Even Nicolas's case has been a challenge to see what would be the best thing for him and to keep looking with planning ahead if we can. I can't take all the credit, because Nicolas has been fighting hard too. He is the strong one and I am just here trying to help his body fight."

Holly always has said such kind things and they never once felt like she was forcing them or just because of who she is.

We walk a little further out enjoying the little sun shining down on us. Holly takes a step and stumbles slighty, I reach out and catch her around her waist and pull her back up to standing.

"I am so sorry. I never even seen that rock." She laughs slightly, but her heart beats fast against me with how I have her enclosed in my arms.

Something comes over me and I don't fight the urge. Her eyes go to my lips and then back up to my eyes. We lean closer into each other, before our lips gently touch.
