《King of Freaks ✔》Chapter 20

to the people currently in my living room. They had basically invited themselves over, the guys and Gemini. It was her idea in the first place. They had wanted to watch a movie like a nice group of friends, but of course, we're not normal.
"Bryn, I'm really busy here trying to get my popcorn back since this douche is stuffing his face with it." Eloy seriously said, pointing at River.
"River, you seriously are the weird one here." I sighed, realizing he was the odd one out. It's like most of the time, River is in his own little world of Unicorns and Chipmunks.
"Agreed," Benji replied, munching on a bag of chips. "Am I really the only normal one here? Everyone acts kinda crazy."
"Coming from the one who broke his arm tripping down the stairs," Tanner said.
"That was a life and death situation," Benjamin replied, throwing a chip his way.
"Haven't you guys heard of being clean? These couches are white." Eloy scolded, grabbing the chip before throwing it inside his mouth.
"He did it," Bruce said, pointing at Benji.
"You had nothing to do with it, you idiot." Gray butted it, his arm wrapped around Gemini's shoulders.
"I know, but I wanna be in the action, you feel me?" Bruce replied. Grayson merely rolled his eyes as I mentally did with mine.
Idiotic friends.
I sat down on the ground in between Tanner and Eloy, while everyone else squished themselves into the couch. "Nice and comfy." I hummed as I laid a blanket the three of us.
"Great, I feel the love. No blanket for us then." River grumbled, giving Nikolai an obvious eye. Nikolai, who was standing by the door, sighed, rolling his eyes. He left, but came a few seconds later, a large blanket in hand. Being the best butler anyone could ask for, he shoved it in River's hands before giving him a sarcastic smile.

"Thanks, buddy..." River said with a smile plastered on to his face, oblivious to Nikolai's behavior. "I'll give Ya a tip later."
"Stop treating Nikolai like that." I glared at River. I threw the remote control, striking him in the face, "Now find us a movie to watch you butthole."
Everybody groaned in protest, making it obvious that I made a mistake. "My house, my room, my rules!" I shouted, pointing a finger in the air. Took time, but like an idiot, River finally found us a movie to watch.
"Guys, I'm putting... Zootopia." River said with emphasis, snuggling into the blanket.
"Great, now we're gonna watch some shitty kid movie." Grayson groaned.
"Oh my god, curse you! Gem, please, slap your boyfriend." I said.
"She has a point, I should slap you," Gemini said with a pout.
"Kid movies are the best!" River and I said in unison.
Well, that's one thing we have in common.
After half an hour, the doorbell rang. I didn't pay attention to it, that's until Nikolai stated somebody was at the door; for me. I got up, Tanner groaning since I pulled the blanket off. I walked my way around the house until I reached the front door. I looked through the peep hole, only to find Jared in my line of vision. I quickly open the door, since it was raining.
Jared just stood there, looking at me in his black hoodie. He was soaking wet, water dripping from his hair as he made no movement to ever slide on the hood. I pulled on his elbow, bringing him into the safety of my home.
"Jared? What's wrong?" I softly ask him, genuinely worried. I couldn't tell if he was crying, but the fresh tears answered me.

"It's Eliazer. I-I don't know what to do." He said, whispering the last parts.
Something's wrong.
I listened to my conscious, taking my jacket that was on the rack by the door. I already knew what I was doing. I was going to see what was wrong for myself. I dashed out the door, not even bothering to tell my friends what was going on. I held on to Jared as we ran through the rain, trying to get to his home as fast as possible.
I didn't know what was going on, but I felt a pit in my stomach that didn't feel right. Eventually, we reached the apartment. We made our way to the apartment room, but as Jared placed his hand on the doorknob, he warned, "It might be ugly in there."
I nodded, prepared for sight in front of me. Jared slowly opened the door, revealing a messy apartment. The drawers were opened, papers scattered around, things were thrown around. This wasn't the nice and clean apartment I was used to.
"Somebody robbed us," Jared said out of the blue, picking up a few stacks of paper.
"Wh-How?" I asked, my mouth agape.
"They picked the lock. I don't even know how they didn't get caught. It's a fucking apartment." He angrily replies, throwing things in the trash. Things were either broken or scattered. Some I noticed was out of place, or simply on the floor. The place looked horrible.
"Where's Eliazer?" I ask, my brows furrowing. Jared sighed, flicking his head to Eliazer's bedroom door.
"I-I didn't know. I don't know what to do." Jared said, almost as if somebody was blaming him. I nodded, giving him a soft smile before walking towards the door. I heard shuffling inside, and I immediately began to get nervous. I took a deep breath, not sure what to expect. And then I slowly went in.

Tom Is Chill
An eye for an eye may make the whole world go blind but at least that f***er can't see either. The early bird gets the worm but I go to the grocery store so screw you. Technically humans don't need to breathe. If no one had any more children everyone would be dead in the next one hundred fifty years probably. Does this count as a synopsis? No? Okay. Tom murders a bunch of dudes. *Tom Dies*. Tom is reborn. Tom doesn't want to be reborn but no one really cares. Tom is born in a new world. He didn't really have to be though. Cause his old world had magic and all. I don't want to give anything away. I swear this fiction is more serious than I am I just find it hard to write a synopsis. Maybe I should write something like this. "Follow Earnheart Super Maximus on his gender-bender super adventures that are exciting and often humorous as he gathers a bunch of chicks for literally no reason." I mean that's what everyone else does and it seems to work.

Rage: Crisis / Consequence / ???
Its been ten years since Seth was given his powers, ten years since his town was driven mad by that very same power, and ten years since its source was shunted into his head. A species of energy beings, a people filled with regret for what their entrance onto this world caused. Regret for the deaths that town perpetuated, the devastation they brought, the blow they served to the once proud heroes of this world. Heroes Seth now hopes to join, hopes to heal and atone to for what transpired. But their wounds run deep, their ire sharp, and their acceptance thin. And to top it all off... Seth's power is run far deeper than he knows, and sees his world in a light all its own. This series is my first foray into authoring, with two parts out of at best four if the readership stands. But part three will still book end nicely otherwise. And I'm not stopping till then. It is action heavy with varied and ramping up fight scenes through out. (Book 1 is heavy / Book 2 a little lighter) It is bloody in places, mildly gory in others, and heavily gory in simulated places. Nothing truly horrifying, I think, but be warned. It has trauma. PTSD is a major part of the story, but I will never trust that I got it completely right, so your mileage may vary on how believable or impactful it is. Lastly it has language. Swearing ebbs and flows as the story progresses and attitudes harden or soften. Sometimes bleeding through into the narration... somehow.
