Having to enter the same time as him, Herain tried to lay low however with her beauty she stands out in the crowd

At the party, Herain just stood in the corner with Vivian and Hayden joined with them later

"I thought there are going to be gossips about me since I entered the same time with Rhaveir but it's a relief that there seems to be none" Herain commented

"No one would dare create a gossip when there is the presence of Reign's CEO" Hayden calmly replied

"I guess they would want a good image in front of him" Herain stated with a nod

"That's a given but the main reason is to avoid the doom flag" Hayden stated as he took a sip on the wine he's holding

"They would be doomed just by some mere gossips?" Herain asked

"You're so clueless, a big time media company was suspended for creating mere gossips about Reign's CEO and a high ranked government official was imprisoned for complaining of the services in Reign's hotel" Hayden explained

Herain was shocked by the information she heard as she said "Imprisoned?, don't all customers have the right to complain?"

"That man's intention to begin with is to cause trouble plus you're stupid to think that your owner would let anyone dirty Reign's reputation, Rhaveir Wisteria eliminates anyone who gets in his way" Hayden stated twirling his wine glass

"He never batted an eye to anyone the moment he decides, he's that cruel and capable" he added while he gulped the remaining wine in the glass

"I thought you're his friend yet you're talking bad about him" Herain commented

"We're the best of friends, he helped me a lot in the past so even if he's that cold, he has a soft side on him" Hayden stated with a smile

"By the way, why is a famous actor like you staying with us here?, shouldn't you go socializing or whatever?" Herain asked

"I was just trying to figure out why Rhaveir kept you beside him" Hayden responded as he glanced at Herain

"Why don't you ask him since you're so close" Herain suggested

"He won't tell me, you're sly and clever in making Elayne jealous though so I'm watching how clever can you get" Hayden stated then walked away

Herain glanced at Vivian as she said "Is that supposed to be a compliment or an insult?"

"I don't really know Miss" Vivian replied with a smile

"By the way, you have been smiling a lot these days" Herain commented

"Is it that obvious Miss?" Vivian asked

Herain nodded as she said "Did something good happen?

Vivian shyly nodded her head as she said "Ryuo and I started dating"

"That's amazing, must be nice to be mutually in love" Herain stated with a smile

"Are you sure the president doesn't have feelings for you Miss?" Vivian asked

"He only sees me as his toy, it's kind of frustrating because my feelings of like for him seems to be growing" Herain stated with a sigh

"I feel kind of bad being the only one happy" Vivian responded as she gaze at Herain

"I'm already happy seeing you with a smile" Herain stated with a smile

"Miss" Vivian uttered teary-eyed

"I think I should go to the restroom, I'll be back in a minute" Herain stated then walked away

On her way to the restroom, she spotted Elayne standing outside the door side

Herain stopped in her tracks as she heard the voices of two girls conversing

“That Elayne is still confidently staying by the president's side, isn't she ashamed of herself?”

“Well like mother, like daughter, I bet she manage to grab that position by selling her body”

“Even if she really is rich, a prostitute is still a prostitute”

Upon hearing this, Herain stride inside and glared at the two girls

"Shouldn't you two be more careful in exposing your dirty selves?, you both actually have the guts to insult Reign's secretary" Herain stated with a scorn

"And who are you to lecture us?" the girl replied with glare

"Isn't she that Vergara woman who was abandoned by her own family?" the other girl stated with contempt

"Unlike the both of you, I got good looks and money without their support plus I don't talk bad about people who I think are better at me" Herain mockingly stated

"How dare you say that!, don't you know who she is?!" the other girl exclaimed

"I'm a famous actress signed in Dazzle, Felia Ruiz" she confidently stated

Herain smirked as she coldly said "I don't really care who you are but if I hear you gossiping about these kinds of thing again, I'll make sure you can never set foot in the entertainment industry ever again"

"You think you're capable of doing that?, you who are no longer regarded as a Vergara" Felia retorted with a scorn

"You think a mere person can easily become a guest of Reign's president at a grand party like this?" Herain stated with a smirk

"Aren't you highly regarding yourself?, or are you just shameless?" Felia responded as she crossed her arms

"You can check it if you want or it's much better if you ask Reign's CEO directly" Herain stated with a smile

"Oh that's right!, I forgot, you are not capable of doing that" Herain added

"How dare you!" Felia exclaimed as she raised her hand and slapped Herain's face

It was so sudden that Herain didn't have the time to react

Hearing the crisp sound, Elayne immediately entered inside the restroom

"Do not cause a scene in such an important event!" Elayne exclaimed as she coldly looked at Felia

"I'm bored, let's go" Felia said to the girl she was with as they both walked away leaving Herain and Elayne behind

"You should stand up for yourself next time, don't let them freely talk bad about you" Herain stated as she walked towards the mirror and touch her face

"No one asked you to do that so mind your own business" Elayne retorted

"You have a lot of pride yet you let them talk about you like that, have some confidence since Rhaveir chose you as his secretary that means you're capable for the job" Herain stated

Herain placed her small pouch on the sink and washed her hands afterwards

"I'm used to it already, it's a bother trying to clean your image" Elayne calmly replied

"It's not something you should get used to plus you already have a clean image, it's not like you did something disgraceful yourself that you should just accept whatever they say" Herain stated while drying her hands

Elayne curiously gazed at Herain as she said "Why are you doing this?, aren't we enemies?"

"That's right! we're rivals, so you better toughen up if you want to completely win over me" Herain responded with a smile

Somewhere deep within Elayne's heart she felt warm which she had never felt from anyone except Rhaveir

Herain reached inside her pouch as she grabbed a folded small envelope and handed it to Elayne

"Your mother is terminally ill, she told me to give you this after she dies but I think it's better if you read this while she's still alive" Herain stated as she gave the letter to Elayne

"How did you meet my mother?" Elayne asked

"I coincidentally spotted you two at the desert shop, she was crying when you left so I comforted her" Herain explained

"Your mother has it hard the most so don't be stubborn and think that you're unlucky just because you have a mother like her" Herain added

After saying that, Herain walked out of the restroom leaving Elayne behind and came back to the hall

"Miss, what took you so long?" Vivian worriedly asked

"I bumped into someone I know" Herain replied

"Miss, this is for you" Vivian stated as she handed Herain a wine

"Why are you giving me this?" Herain asked

"A friend of yours said it was for you, I guess she wanted to make a toast but you were not here so she just asked me to give it to you" Vivian stated

"A friend of mine?" Herain asked as she held the wine glass

"I'm sorry Miss, I forgot to ask her name" Vivian replied

"It's alright" Herain responded with a smile

Herain gulped down the wine in one go without any suspicion

A while later, Herain felt dizzy and left the hall as she walked towards the entrance hall

Just then, she suddenly bumped into a tall sturdy figure and the strong scent of a man keeps tingling her nostrils

"I'm sorry, I think I'm sick" Herain stated as she walked on the side

Just then, her legs felt weak and she almost fell down when the man she just bumped with swiftly catch her in his arms

"I'm sorry" Herain apologetically stated

"I think you're drunk Miss, your cheeks are turning red" the man spoke

He has a deep voice and his arms that carry her is firm and strong

Herain can tell that he has a nice manly physique

"I only drink 1 glass of wine, it's not possible that I get drunk this much just by that amount" Herain responded as she heavily panted

"My body is burning up" Herain stated

"I'll bring you to my car" the man stated as he carry her away

Herain glanced up and what she saw was beyond her expectations

"You look a lot like my Prince Charming Ishid" Herain stated with a smile

"Well Miss, it's your lucky day, I am Ishid Vince" the man stated as she gaze at Herain

Ishid placed Herain inside the car as he got in

"Wait!, you're The Ishid Vince?!" Herain exclaimed

"Does my handsome face not convince you?" Ishid stated with a bewitching smile

"You really are Ishid" Herain exclaimed

Ishid gave Herain a smile as he ordered his chauffer "Go back to the hotel"

The driver immediately drove away and Herain curiously gaze at Ishid

"I think I have to go home, why are you going to the hotel?" Herain asked

"Miss you are unwell, why don't you stay at my place and get some rest first since I don't know where your home is" Ishid responded as she gaze Herain

Herain was not on her right mind as she was panting erratically with her face flush which makes her very seductive

"With your body burning up and your face flushed, I think you have drunk an aphrodisiac" Ishid stated as he reached his arms towards her

"An aphrodisiac?, how do you get rid of it?" Herain asked

"There's only one solution, I might be able to help you with it" Ishid stated with a smile

"Thank you" Herain responded with a warm smile of her own

Herain desperately grabbed unto his arm as her other hand clasp her chest

Seeing the beauty in front of her, Ishid grinned as he said "I can't believe I get to experience something interesting the moment I returned back to this country"
