《The Red Sun》Rylee

"Where the hell is Hayley? I haven't seen her for the last 2 days." Rylee said as she, Jon, Adam and Alec entered the Sterling's Residence and slammed the door shut. They have all just returned from the meeting and none of them was in the mood to smile. "That son of a bitch," Alec said as he started hitting the wall in the living room, "he dares to mock us? I say he is the one who killed the goblin." He left a crack on the wall.
"And then he dares to speak of my father, a coward he says? I swear I thought I glimpsed a paper with my father's handwriting." Jon said as he started hitting the wall too however softer than Alec as he didn't want to leave a fracture on the wall.
"If he wants war so be it, but I will not have the Clan of Control doing nothing. My father is the one who sent the guards to the woods to protect the corpse. It was supposed to be his job!" Adam shouted as he sat down on the couch, Rylee went to sit beside him. She tried to relive what happened so that she can think correctly. Firstly, they arrived to the Clan of Control's building beside the river then they entered with their security permission that they got from their fathers.
They were surrounded by a 100 guards and the rest were either training or forging melee weapons as the supernatural see no honor in using guns. 'It looks like they are getting ready for war.' The thought crossed her mind but she didn't dare say it. They walked through the completely white hallway, white walls and white floor escorted by the guards. They reached Alberto's office at the end of the hall. Its door was made of black wood that was surrounded by small pieces of gold. The Clan of Control was always known to be rich but Rylee never expected them to be THAT rich. 'Doors made of real gold?'
Mr. Primaveri's office was enormous and expensive unlike her father's which was completely full of papers that were scattered everywhere, on the ground, on the desk and even on her father's chair. The office had the same color of the hallway of the building, same white floor and white walls. His white desk was half as wide as the room but it was still huge for a desk. Mr Primaveri sat on a white office chair while the desk had 4 chairs in front of it, they were placed specially as they were brown unlike the room, "for my special guests." He said. " Would you like wine or juice or something to eat?" He offered as they sat on the chairs but they were not stupid to take anything from him. The clans and the people had little trust to the cunning family of the Primaveri's.

Adam was seated on the chair that was right beside the desk of Alberto, Rylee next to him on his left, Alec beside her and Jon on the other side face to face with Adam. "So to what do I owe the pleasure?" Alberto asked with a sly smile on his face,
'You know why we are here.' Rylee thought but she didn't want to be rude,
"I am here on behalf of the Clan of Knowledge." Adam said proudly, Rylee liked how proud he was with his clan, 'he would make one hell of a clan chief.'
"On behalf of everyone in the Clan of Knowledge and their great leader Mr. Muhammad Dauwood, I am here to urge Mr. Primaveri, great chief of the Clan of Control to allow his great soldiers to investigate the murder of the great goblin Mr. Blykt Fierx as the Clan of Control has enough resources and detectives who are required to complete the job. If the Clan has more important matters, we at least require guards to protect the dead goblin in order for the Clan of Knowledge to be able to carry out with their investigation. Thank you."
Alberto didn't seem impressed as Rylee was, Adam sounded more as an adult than a teenager after all, he was the upcoming chief and she would be his lady wife, she straightened her back in order to be more lady-like but no one noticed.
Rylee noticed than Jon was staring at a piece of paper that laid on Primaveri's desk, he looked as if he was trying to read what was written but since the paper was far from him, he couldn't. 'Where is Hayley when we need her?' Rylee rhetorically asked herself. Alec was oddly quiet and Rylee didn't like it.
"I cannot do that Mr. Dauwood."
"And why is that Mr. Primaveri?" Adam stared at him with his wide golden eyes
"Because I need my men. As you all know the young Mr. Sterling here," he was facing Alec now "has been attacked by hunters and the Clan of Control's main goal is to protect the living supernatural not the dead Mr. Dauwood." His tone was so cold it made Adam angry, Rylee could see it.
"And what about the rest of the goals Mr. Primaveri? Protect the secrets of our world no matter what the cost is?" Adam's face was red at that moment so Alberto smiled,
"Last time I recall, Eek Troibs, who is the goblin who exposed us, was working for your father at the Clan of Knowledge as an ambassador between the Clan of Research and Clan of Goblins. At any costs necessary huh? Why don't I attack the clan then in the name of law of course."

"Woah woah, the goblin only exposed our secrets because YOU let his chief die." Alec finally broke his silence and Rylee was a bit relieved, "you were the ones who neglected the old goblin. Where were his guards? He was found alone."
"Are you suggesting that I meant for the goblin to die?" Primaveri raised his eyebrow,
"I didn't suggest anything, you're the one who said it." Alec drolled
"Do you know who I am? Or what can I do to you? I am the leader of this clan and I will not tolerate you kid to come and make fun of me."
"But he didn't make fun of you." Rylee replied.
"I only asked you a question. Where were the guards?" Alec stared at him with his dead un-matching eyes,
"The goblin wanted to be left alone so they obliged."
"Goblins never want to be alone." Jon said, he knows how goblins think as some of them live in the forest which he is now its leader, goblins are rarely alone because they are always worried that something would happen to them, they use their money to hire guards.
"Are you assuming that I am lying? You are a coward's son." He chuckled.
"And you sir are changing the subject again. What does me being a coward's son have to do with the gone guards or don't you have a good excuse?"
"The coward's son has got some balls."
"The coward's son's name is Jonathan who is also the Leader of the People of The Forest so mind your tongue old man. Some of your officers are my people or do you need a reminder?" Jon was getting sick from being called a coward's son.
"So you won't give us neither guards nor investigators?" Adam calmed down a bit.
"Nope."
"That's enough proof for me. Let's go guys. You know what this means Mr. Primaveri, right? When one clan refuses to aid the others, you know what's the result right?"
"You're the ones who should be scared not me."
As they stood up Rylee noticed that Jon was still staring at that piece of paper while Alec was staring in Primaveri's face. "I suggest you increase your guards Primaveri. Once I find something, you will be laying right beside that goblin." Alec threatened him as they left the white office.
Adam was back to being irate so he went outside in the backyard of the Sterlings and Rylee went with him, "I can't go to my father telling him that I declared war on the most powerful man in the supernatural world." He told Rylee as they walked in the large green area. "We are 2 clans against 1, that's the reason for our engagement isn't it?" She realized she could've said it in a better way, he looked at her and smiled.
"So are you telling me that you didn't fall in love with me?" He looked at her with a smirk and pulled her closer to him.
"Oh I don't know. Let's see." They kissed.
"Gross." Alec interrupted their intimate moment.
"What do you want?" Rylee said as she rolled her eyes,
"Jon has something to say and he was too shy to cut that moment of yours." He made a face,
"Jerk." She said as she kissed Adam again.
Five minutes later they all entered the living room again and Jon was seated on a black couch. Alec sat right next to him while Rylee and Adam were sitting on a grey couch next to it and they held hands. "I think Alberto has my father's diaries. I swear I saw a paper in front of him that had the same handwriting as my father's."
"Yeah I saw staring at it. Are you sure that it was your father's?" Rylee asked him.
"I am 100% sure, that's my father's handwriting and if this Alberto has something to do with his death, I will kill him." Jon's face was red as his eyes glowed.
"And what will you do?" Adam asked as he looked at Alec and Jon.
"We are gonna sneak there of course." Alec smirked.
"Well. I am out." Adam said, "I have a meeting with my father in the clan, I have to tell him about what happened today."
"And I will go look for my best friend." Rylee said.

The Magitons
Book 3 of the Universe Series This novel continues the adventure from the previous novel, Ocean of Dreams. Each novel is meant to stand alone. Widhbo ( pronounced "wee bow") is a MC who will be in each of the six novels in the main series. The starship Sora had been hurtling through space using its FTL propulsion system toward the Dezba star system for over a decade since leaving the planet Beldora of the Hellsaxe system. The Sora had crash landed on Beldora over a century earlier carrying a couple of aliens from another dimension. The ship came from the Borrugal Realm, a band world associated with what was known as the Tor Galaxy, what we call the Milky Way. Human life on Beldora was never the same. Under the influence of the alien known as Widhbo, Beldora was catapulted from the steam age to the space age. The majority of the scientific advances on Beldora were attributed to the leadership of a brilliant man, Jejliard Castonea, who was secretly manipulated by the alien, Widhbo. When rapid advances in technology inadvertently led to a nuclear war, Jejliard decided to evacuate his family, friends and co-workers on the Sora. The plan was to find a new habitable planet and rebuild civilization until they could safely return home. Much to his despair, Jejliard’s family and friends opted to stay on Beldora to ride out the war underground. Even the other alien, Gengor, stayed behind. Borrowing technology stored in the archives of the Sora, Widhbo managed to transfer the personalities of those staying on the planet into digital storage units known as magitons which could survive indefinitely in cold, sterile space. Living crew members who elected to stay on board the Sora were also uploaded to ensure immortality for everyone in case their life support systems failed en route. Widhbo sought to design a cyber paradise for everyone inside their virtual worlds, but things never go as planned where Widhbo is concerned.
