Age 6 months

Shawns pov:

Me, Camila and my gorgeous daughter

y/n had gone over to visit my parents at their house. We were all sat in the garden since it was hot out and there was food on the garden table. I played with y/n on a blanket on the grass while everyone else sat on the chairs. She had been easily irritated lately and cried a lot and I hoped she would go back to the happy baby she usually was. I got up to grab some food and left her on the blanket. As I was grabbing food, she began to cry again and I sighed. Camila went and picked her up and walked around, rocking her but it wasn't working.

"Shawn does she want an ice pop or cold water or something?" Mum asked

"Why would she want that?"

"She might be teething, you were around her age when you started teething."

"How do you check"

"Just gently rub your finger along her gum."

I got up and went over to Camila and y/n and gently did what my mum said and sure enough I felt a tooth begging to grow.

"I think I might know what to do" I said to Camila And ran inside to fill her bottle with cold water. I guided the bottle into her mouth and she began to drink it and calm down. Camila gently passed her over to me so I could give her to water in a more comfortable position.

"She's teething." I told Camila softly

"She's growing so fast Shawn, it feels like just yesterday we found out we were pregnant and now she's already 6 months."

"I know. Do you think you'd want to have another baby in a while?"

"I do want another one but I also want to wait a while, to give her all our attention and learn new stuff about being parents."

"That sounds like a good idea" I learnt over and kissed her softly, being extremely grateful for the life I was given.
