《May We Meet Again: Book 3》The Last Time I Saw You

Ice Nation seems like a whole other world. It's not that hard to blend in here. The streets are filled with beggars and traders. I kept my head low hiding my face behind the scratchy fabric. Roan does the same looking over his shoulder every once in a while to make sure i'm still there. He's hunched over taking on the role of everyone else around us. It's odd to see him like this since he walks so tall and proud. He slows down stopping in front of a shack. He looks back at me motioning for me to follow him in. "the shopkeeper agreed to help us."
"Who knew the banished prince still had friends." He just rolls his eyes holding the door open.
Once inside we're greeted by a tall scrawny man with a massive scar along his cheek. He nods to Roan then looks to me. "Wahanda. It's an honor." he looks back to Roan "Please, follow me i'll show you where you'll sleep. My wife is currently making supper, it should be finished soon."
There is little room to move due to all the knickknacks and furniture scattered everywhere. I move cautiously making sure not to knock anything over. There's a separate part to the shop in the back which serves as a home. We past by the kitchen and dinning room where his wife says her hellos. "You'll be in here. We don't have any more beds but this one is spacious enough for two." I can feel my cheeks getting warm
"Thank you we won't be staying long." Roan says pushing me into the room slightly. The man nods then leaves to go into the kitchen. I move over to the bed taking off all the rags. Gosh it feels so good to finally take that scratchy material off. I scratch up and down my arm still mentally feeling it on me.

Roan closes the door behind him and throws off his rags laying them on top of mine. There's no way in hell i'm sharing a bed with him. I sigh taking my hair out of its ponytail. I guess i'm sleeping on the floor tonight.
There's a soft tap on the door before the shopkeepers wife opens the door. "I've brought soup, you both looked pretty hungry when you came in earlier." She sets both of the bowls down on the table next to the door. She looks to me then moves to one of the dressers "there are some clothes in here, you look about my daughters size." She pulls a t-shirt from the drawer then hands it to me. "figured you would want to clean up a bit."
"Thank you so much." I hold the shirt up to my chest looking at myself in the mirror "this should fit perfectly." I glance over at Roan in the reflection. He looks hurt, but in both a physical and emotional way. I lower the shirt away from my chest moving to sit on the bed. The shopkeepers wife claps her hands together softly "well I should let you two rest. You can just bring these dishes back in the morning." She gives Roan a polite smile then quickly leaves.
I grab a bowl and take it down to the floor with me. I actually can't remember the last time I sat down and ate. I feel my finger again hoping to feel my ring still there, but it isn't. "Sacrifice is the thing that makes getting what you want possible." I really could do without his wisdom right now.
"and what do you know about sacrifice?" I say as I stir the soup around in the bowl with my spoon. Though he seems unfazed by my question he does look hurt by it.

"I was in love once. My mother thought that she was unfit to be queen. So she had her killed because she thought Lylia made me weak. I looked into her eyes as my own mother slit her throat right in front of me." He doesn't meet my gaze as he opens a cupboard filled with twigs and puts them in the fireplace. He knows his way around this room quite well, it's obvious that he's been here many times.
"This is her house isn't it." He still doesn't look at me but nods. "I'm sorry."
"These types of losses make us stronger. It also made me realize who the real enemy was that day." He moves to sit across from me "Now let me ask you a question. Octavia. She's Bellamy's sister, why isn't she helping you."
"She said that it's something Bellamy wouldn't have wanted. Revenge." As much as I hated her for not agreeing to help me, I understand why she told me no. "I guess unlike her I just couldn't let it go. I can't let it go." I finish off the soup then stand putting the bowl back onto the table. Roan does the same then reaches into his pocket pulling out a small bag "here." I look at it somewhat hesitant to take it. "They like you." he nods to the door meaning the storekeeper and his wife. "Why they don't even know me." He just shrugs in response. I take the bag from him looking inside. I can feel my heart skip a beat. My ring! "But how?!...I...I mean I know how...but...I...thank you." I pull him into a tight embrace causing him to tense up. "Uh...yeah...you're welcome." he gently pushes away then looks away. "We should sleep." He nods the bed "You take the bed, i'm fine here on the floor."

#Call Cthulhu
An eldritch comedy. After Cthulhu is summoned into the world, the whole place goes to shit. Things really got out of hand after Cthulhu got nuked. Alex and Julius, a pair of brothers, try their best to make it in a North America reshaped by an eldritch apocalypse. “Stop right there Philip!” Julius interrupted, the vein on his temple starting to throb. “I do not want to hear another simile about what magic is. I have had magic explained to me by three cult leaders, a wizard, and a cannibal. I've heard that magic is like a rainbow, all its parts blending together. The human unconsciousness, powerful and unknowable. A body, you don't want to eat the heart straight away. I am sick and tired of people telling me what magic is. I know damn well what it is.” He drew a breath, interrupting his rant. “Magic is a bad joke. A whole lot of setup, for some nonsense punchline. This whole god-damned apocalypse is an eldritch comedy.”
