《May We Meet Again: Book 3》I'll Make It Up To You

"There you are. I've been looking for you." Bellamy's body blocks the sun just enough for me to open my eyes without being blinded. "Hi. I left a note." He laughs holding up the sheet of paper with my note on it. "Yeah that just says going out." I let out a small laugh "yeah I guess I should've put more in there."
He laughs stuffing the note back in his pocket. "but this spot has the best sunrise and I didn't want to miss it...or wake you up.'' I flip my sketch book up at him "see." He moves to sit next to me taking the sketch book "Wow. Where did you get orange paint?"
"Lincoln taught me how to make paints from certain plants and berries." I reach for the bowl next to me showing him. "See, pretty cool huh." He smiles staring down at the bowl "You're pretty amazing you know that." He looks down at the painting in his hands "and I think I know what we can decorate our walls with."
I reach over brushing one of his curls to one side of his forehead. "I love you Bell." He moves his glance from the painting to me smiling. "I love you too." We stare at one another for a good while before he breaks the silence. "Oh yeah I almost forgot why I came over here in the first place." He gets up from his spot then reaches down to help me up. Once I'm standing he leads me out towards the lake that's in front of us.
He has us both stand at the edge of the water then moves down to where he's on one knee. I give him a confused look but he holds up his hand explaining "So I know I didn't exactly give you the type of proposal you deserved, but I'm going to make it up to you."

"but Bell...we're already married." I say laughing
"which means I know you're going to say yes." he gives me his ever so famous smirk
"Clarke Griffin. We've been through so much together, you've been by my side since day one. I can't tell you how thankful I am for that. Even when I acted like an obnoxious ass you still stood by me. Granted the first day we met I kinda hated you and found you annoying...and just wow I truly wanted to strangle you like you just got on my nerves so much it was crazy."
"This is you're romantic speech to get me to marry you?" I give him an amused look making him laugh
"Uh yeah right...back on track. Despite all that...I thought you were the most beautiful girl i'd ever seen. I never thought that you'd be my best friend but here you are. You make me a better person Clarke and we've both come a long way together...So with this ring. I promise to love you, protect you, fight beside you and cherish you forever. So Clarke, my love. Will you marry me?"
I don't hold back any tears as I smile down at him "Yes. A thousand times yes." His smile gets even bigger as he puts the ring on my finger. "Where did you get this?!" I stare down at the ring in awe. It's so beautiful. It's the perfect size for me and the silver stands out in the sun, but my favorite thing are the tiny three blue crystals perfectly placed inside the metal across the top. I've never seen something so beautiful. "Lincoln helped me a lot. Oh and uh..." He feels around in his pocket pulling out another ring. "I have one too." He hands it to me "wanna do the honers" I nod excitedly putting the ring on his finger. Nothing has felt so right. Both of us stare down at our rings side by side. "I love you Clarke."

"I love you too Bell."
"No forget it." I walk past Roan dodging his hand going for my arm. "I'll find another way in."
"This is the only way in. Clarke if you want to find Ares this is the only way." I grip onto my hand protecting what he wants. "Clarke that ring is the only bargaining chip we have. They won't smuggle us in unless we give them something of worth." There's no way in hell he's taking this ring off my finger. This is all I have left of him. "We'll find something else. There has to be something else or worth that we can find."
"We're running out of time there's nothing. Smuggling in one fugitive is a lot but two...that costs a fortune. We need that ring."
"No! This is all I have left of him okay!" My voice catches in my throat as I let out a sob. "You can have anything just not this. Please Roan." He stares down at the ground then moves over to me. He doesn't look like he'll take it by force so I stay were I am. "This is your mission not mine. I just agreed to help. If want to turn back now and forget this whole thing great I don't care. I'm not going to stop you but whatever choice you make now will determine if we move forward or not."
I stare down at the ring sitting on my finger. Am I really about to give up the one thing I have left? I know I am. I let out a pain sigh looking at Roan. I can't watch myself take the ring off my finger. My hand suddenly feels cold as I hand the ring to Roan. He takes it from me quickly putting it in his pocket. "wait here."
He looks back at me for a brief second then disappears into the woods. I can't believe I did that. I shouldn't have done that. I can't even look down at my now naked finger. It hurts too much. I never had the heart to take Bellamy's ring and keep it for myself. I could't do that.
Roan returns wearing several rags hiding his normal muscular phasic. He looks like a common beggar everyone always passes on the streets.
"Here put these on." He tosses me a folded pair of rags. They smell like death, the last person who wore this probably did die in these. I hold my breath as I quickly put them on. I can sense Roan's eyes on me "I know that was a tough decision." I don't meet his gaze and instead flip up the hood.
"It just better have been worth it."I pull the hood farther down covering my face He looks away pulling his own hood over his head "trust me it will."

The Apocalypse Show - Dungeon Core
There were lot's of ways that people had predicted that the world would end. A few even had it partially correct. But how could they have predicted it would be a combination of the system apocalypse and aliens. Specifially aliens that wanted to create the equivlant of a TV show about the system apocalypse on Earth. Arthur woke up with a headache and the option to create a character. Most people would have gone with the safe choice and selected to stay a human. Arthur suspected that wouldn't be the safe choice in his new world. Instead he decided to see what other races were available. Eventually he decided to become a dungeon core instead. Of course being a dungeon core comes with a number of challenges. Starting with the fact that he was a giant crystal instead of having a body, managing a bunch of unintelligent minons, and most importantly the reaction of his human neighbors when they discover him. If he can overcome these challenges he may be able to enjoy some of the benefits. Such as the fact that dungeon cores are immortal and he would eventually have an entire army of dungeon minions that would obey any of his commands. Perhaps even find some female companions that are looking for a safe place during the apocalypse. Warning: If this fiction was a movie I'd rate it R for occasional scenes of violence, gore, nudity, and sexual content. This isn't something you would find in the young adult section. This does not mean that this would be rated NC-17 or X, if that is what you are looking for try lewd dungeon.

Almave
Welcome to AlmaVé. First thing you have to know is that it's a tragedy. Nope, not talking about my book yet. It's a tragedy that you're reading this instead of clicking on chapter 1. I did fail speech introductions after all. My story? Right that's what you're here for. My bad, try this: Lilia Hammond is reborn (cliché, but we all know we enjoy it when it's done for a purpose) as Syndra Sanmey. She was a graphic designer who hadn't caught her break yet. She was paralyzed for months before she was offered the opportunity to join a program that would allow her to-NOPE! not virtual reality. The doctors killed her and dumped her body. Tough. In her new world, Lilia has to fight herself to find out who she truly is. With the possibility to cast magic and a second chance at life, Lilia thinks she can really make something for herself. Her goal? Become the greatest artist the world had ever seen. The rub? World is a bit darker than anything she saw on earth. Thankfully, Lilia is getting quite familiar with the darkness inside her and her magic might just be the thing to save the-hey! wait it's not that kind of book. No saving the world. No hero syndrome. Just magic and blood and a bit of crafting. Yup. Fighting. Romance? Eh? What's that? The first arc is Lilia's shift from Earth to creating backstories for the three major characters. It's not funny and light. It's often dark and funny. Ah, I really should have gone through a punk-rock phase. Or goth. Would I look good with black hair? Hmm.. There are three MCs and they are Jackson, Daryl, and Lilia/Syndra. Daryl is currently kidnapped and Jackson just awakened his magic. I don't want to spoil (much) but soon things will be very fun to write. Hope to see you there! Leave a comment even if you're just stopping by so I can say hey! Chapters to be published twice weekly. Check tags before reading.

Decimation Mortism
17 year old high school kid Barry Allen has a brain that can't shut up. One day his mundane life gets turned around when the world as we know it ends and a new era begins. But in a very cosmic 'merge' or 'die' way. Inter dimensional energies leak causing a rift from which monsters, humans, mutants and the like emerge. Will Barry and his friends adapt to the new meta 'fight tooth and nail to survive'? or Will they succumb to the endless mysteries of the universe? Who is this Trevor guy we keep hearing about? About the Novel Decimation - end of world Mortism - is a concept, where understanding of life is better after experiencing death Fitting title for my story i suppose. I like having quirky titles for my chapters. They may sometimes have spoilers and twists, beware. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About author: I am new to writing stuff in general. I will probably have lots of grammar mistakes since English is not my first language. I am writing as a hobby. I release atleast one chapter a week. I planned volume 1 to be about 60-70 pages in my google doc. Character inspiration from myself. I literally have a brain that does not shut up. I do enjoy a lot of novels here especially : savage divinity and paladian. The cover page is my own design. I am happy with it, but feel free to suggest/show something better. I will try to do an art of my characters, especially Trevor, so you guys can also see what I see. But that will take a while. In the meantime, keep reading!

Mourners, Abednego, Persistence
Sebastio the Effulgent has been Lord of Pennat Gate for more than a hexadecade following the events of that day called the Western Sunrise. In the pyres that lament the many deaths of that tribulation, the place he has worked to turn into an asylum for the downtrodden has prospered. Some of the Yrdkish peerage, and some of those far removed from such status, disagree with Pennat Gate’s position, politics, and rulership. A few are not satisfied merely with seditious talk. A few possess frighteningly capable means with which to undermine causes of questionable nobility. A few want to see the experiment flourish, so that it might be ripped out roots and all. A fiery furnace awaits, and it hungers for both metal to shape and tinder to reduce to dust. When strange intelligent Beasts begin to appear on the lidar, they become the Toledo steel that will either straighten the extrafacetary territories’ spine, or leave it forever hunchbacked.

Apex Immortal: a LitRPG system rampage
"Across the multiverse where the contest for power is the only constant, only a handful have succeeded in reaching the ultimate heights of ascendency and gained the title Apex Immortal. Dominus is one of them, unsurpassed in overwhelming violence, feared across universes. Now, memories locked and stranded far away from everything he’d built, Dominus will face enemies that will challenge even his powers and discover that change is more difficult than destruction." I’ve been writing fiction on and off for the last decade and I’ve always wondered how a peak immortal (or an OP superhero) would single handedly conquer a world that mirrors our own in all of its complexity. As a politics nerd, this is my attempt at answering that question using Machiavelli’s “The Prince” as the primary playbook. The “monsters” are entire political systems with entrenched culture. Expect many versions of real world political systems (and cultures) to be on the hit list. The MC has to successfully institute regime and cultural change without engaging in wholesale genocide and causing the state to fail. Expect things to go wrong pretty quickly as escalating and cascading political and economic effects rapidly go out of control. Methods deployed are not for the faint hearted.
