《His Light》chapter nine

Alice's POV
I knew something bad was going to happen today, I saw it but it was not very clear. None of the visions I have of Micah are clear, it's almost as if she has some sort of shield protecting her, I really can't explain it, it's honestly quite frustrating, to know that I could have stopped Jasper from going to school or even warned him and tried to prepare him for what was about to happen and I couldn't.
Now Jasper is gone because he feels guilty but at least we know where he is, somewhere in Texas, I never thought I would see the day Jasper willingly went back there without someone having to convince him.
He must really care for her.
I tried to speak with her at school and she seemed really sad, I don't really know what happened in that classroom but whatever is was must have spooked her.
I just hope Jasper will come back to her, they need each other.
Micha's POV
From the moment I left the school until I got into bed at night my mind has just constantly replayed the occurrence in my head, his eyes are imprinted in my memory, I cannot believe that happened, maybe he was just having a bad day and I just made it worse for him.
I hope he's okay.
Hearing the vibration of my phone by my ear woke me up, "Ugh really, school again." I groaned to myself.
I really don't feel like going to school today, I think I'll just skip, mama and papa are not home. What they don't know won't hurt them, right?
I take some time to just prepare myself, getting out of bed is really a challenge.
Sitting up and letting my legs hang off of my bed, I put my head in my hands.

"What the heck Jasper, I really hope you're okay." I whisper to myself, I've been really worried about him since the outburst at school, I don't know what came over him.
Finally deciding to get ready for the day, I took a shower and got dressed.
Sitting in the kitchen eating cereal, I never really notice how lonely the house is when my parents aren't home, their schedules haven't been as hectic recently but I guess it's back to the norm, back to being home alone and spending days by myself.
I sigh washing my dish. I think I should go out staying in the house definitely will not do me any good.
I remember hearing Jess talk about a place called La Push, maybe I should check it out.
Deciding to go there I grab my phone and car keys and begin my journey to the beach, it's really weird if you think about it considering how cold and rainy this place is you wouldn't think there would be a beach people actually go to.
Reaching my destination, I get out of my car and walk towards the ocean.
I've always been fascinated by water the fact that it can be dangerous yet calming at the same time is really a wonder. I sat on a rock, just staring at the water.
Jasper, of course my mind would trail back to that Southern Prince and I say 'Prince' wholeheartedly because he looks like he could be royalty. Those red eyes.
"Ow." what the heck just hit me?
I looked up, there was a boy standing in front of me waving, oh wow "I've been trying to get your attention for a while, whatever you were thinking about must be really important." he said, smirking cutely at me, oh wow.

I shook my head, going back to reality, "Um yeah," I giggled shyly, "sorry, I didn't notice you there." I said fiddling with my fingers.
"I'm Jacob, but you can call me Jake." he stretched his hand towards me.
"Micha." I smiled at him taking his hand, he, unlike Jasper is really warm which is odd considering the weather.
"How are hands not frozen, are you a heater?" I said looking into his eyes.
It's official if your name starts with a 'J' you're automatically handsome, that must be a rule somewhere.
"It's complicated." he said chuckling running his hand through his hair.
"I don't have anywhere to be." I smiled blushing at him.

UPDATES TUES/THURS after chapter 5 Cover art by Tumblr User: @pigeon-princess This book features characters that are related to in many ways to my other novel "Grimoire". While both stories are their own stand alone series, Sun God's Corruption will add a good amount of depth to Grimoire, and Grimoire shows the unfoldings of the world that will eventually come from the events in Sun God's Corruption. I reccomend reading them both interchangably.
