Brenton POV

"So how is she?" I ask Landon after he drops the little vampire off in the main living room and joins us in the kitchen.

"She is afraid of everything, malnourished.... she has these scars... we need to destroy these vampires. I can't imagine hurting someone so sweet... she called the man father who beat her. She doesn't know his name only father. She said he likes to collect rare creatures. He kills for fun and would punish her for anything or simply because he was angry... who does that to their own child?" Landon rants.

"Well get him... but now we have two little girls we know he wants... you are moving into the main house. I know you like it in the city but..."

"I know, Bren." He cuts me off. "We need to stay close for her protection and so she can't run back to them as an informant. You have to protect the pack. I trust you Alpha. We can move in tomorrow."

"Good."

Kenzie POV

"Hi Gilly." I greet her as soon as Landon sets her down with me and Eddy.

"Hey... so who he?" She asks pointing at Eddy.

"He's Eddy... he's also the Beta. His mommy is miss Kelly so if he is mean just call for her." I tell get and Eddy sticks his tongue out at me.

"I'm not mean she's just annoying." He says.

"Am not!" I argue.

"Are too!"

"I like both of you." Gilly stops the argument.

"Wanna watch Cars?" Eddy suggests.

"You seen Brave?... I like that one." Gilly responds and Eddy groans.

"But that's a girl movie!" He whines and she pouts.

"Is not! It has weapons and fighting and bears!" She argues.

"It does!? I never watched it cause I thought it was for girls!" Eddy gets excited and pulls up the movie. "This better be good."

"What are we doing princess?" Daddy asks just as the movie starts. He picks me up and sets me on his lap.

"Watchin' movie. Gilly picked." I say eyes glued to the screen.

"You did?... good choice, tadpole!" Landon says placing Gilly on his lap.

"Is my favorite, shhhh!" She responds and the guys chuckle but quiet down for the movie.

"So do you guys play every night?" Gilly asks after about a week here while we wait on dinner.

"Yup, 'm Beta during the day most times... mommy likes when I'm little more." Eddy answers.

"I help daddy and do Luna stuffs... but sometimes I just stay in Daddy's office and slip... before dinner is every day though unless we has to do sompthin'." I add.

"Sooo... I need ta go back ta the house we was in." She says snapping Eddy out of little space into Beta mode.

"No, it is dangerous and if you are caught the vampires could use your knowledge of the pack against us... plus you could get hurt and you fit in our little group nicely. I'd hate to lose you." He grins at the last bit and Gilly rolls her eyes.

"I has ta get floppers!" She argues.

"Who's floppers?" I ask.

"My bunny, he is the best and he loves me. I need to get him... plus father doesn't stay in one place long. The house will be empty." She says and I look to the Beta.

"Come on, Eddy! Rescue mission!" I try to get him to agree.

"I'll talk with Brenton... it might be good to look at a place they have stayed... if he agrees I will get Floppers for you." He says to Gilly.

"I have to go. I hid him so he'd be safe. You won't find him." She says.

"There is no way Brent or Landy will agree to you going." Eddy responds.

"Come on Eddy teddy! We can follow behind you guys and once it's safe snag the bunny then run back home. Our daddies don't need to know." I tell him and he thinks before sighing.

"Kay, but if you gets caught I ain't getting a spanking for you." He says all little again. I knew the name would get him!

Eddy POV

This is probably a bad idea... but you can't abandon a good stuffie... and it's a good opportunity to study the enemy. I'm sure I can get the Alpha to agree.

"Alright Eddy time for bed." Kelly coos but I'm not feeling little. Too many thoughts.

"Actually I need to talk to Brent real quick... be up soon?" I say kissing her.

"Don't miss bedtime, mister." She smiles at me and I return it.

"Wouldn't dream of it mommy." I respond before heading to Brenton's office. He should be wrapping things up for the night.

"Hey Brent, got a minute?" I ask opening the door.

"Yea, just heading to bed... shouldn't you be doing the same, bub?" He asks expecting me to be little.

"Not little... I have an idea to help us track down the vampires." I tell him and he stiffens.

"Whats the idea, Beta?" He asks.

"Gilly remembers the house they stayed in. She says they move a lot so it will be empty but taking a look around couldn't hurt. Know your enemy right?" I say.

"And you want the girl to lead us there? She's not like you Eddy. I don't think she is ever really an adult... or maybe her adult headspace is just still immature but either way I'm not taking her on a mission." He denies.

"I think I can get us to the house she told me about we don't need to take her." I say and he stares me down.

"You have the glint in your eye like you are up to something but the idea is sound... we will head out tomorrow but the girls stay. Am I understood?" He says apparently having some idea of our plan.

"Yes Alpha, I already told both Gilly and Kenzie that they wouldn't be allowed to go." I say covering my own but in case they get caught... I did tell them they wouldn't be allowed so I'm not lying.

"Okay then."
