"How is he?" Daddy asks as we walk through the door to Miss Kelly and Eddy's apartment.
"See for yourself." Miss Kelly smiles and nods towards the living room where Eddy is watching Tom and Jerry. "We need to talk Brent... Why didn't you tell me he was this bad?"
"He's my best friend, Kelly. He didn't want to worry you so I tried to help him. If it went on any longer I would have told you." Daddy says.
"I'm his mate Brenton, not you! He is so stuborn. You spend more time with him due to work. I need you on my side with this! He needs his mommy not his Alpha." She whisper yells making me feel awkward. I don't want to hear this.
"I'm sorry Kells... You're right... You know how he gets. It's hard to argue with him. He has a good heart... being a little is hard for him. I don't want to force him." Daddy tells her and I squirm. I want to play.
"You know he needs to slip more. You know this avoidance will only hurt him. So why don't you let me take care if my mate? You may not want to force him but you know as well as I do that he needs a strong hand. He needs someone to help put him in little space... I need your help here Alpha."
"Daddy!" I whine tired of this talking.
"Sorry baby girl. Why don't you go give Eddy your picture while miss Kelly and I talk?" He asks and I nod. I run over to Eddy as soon as my feet touch the ground.
"Hi Eddy!" I greet him and he smiles.
"Hi ya!" He says. "Wanna watch?" He asks and I nod handing him the picture.

"You colored Chick?... But he's the bad guy!" He says and I frown.
"I made it for you... Cause you were upset... I wanted to say I forgive you." I respond sad that he didn't like my gift. He looks down at the paper then back to me.
"You used so many colors I think Chick would get mad about how pretty he looks... Good job!" Eddy says and I smile.
"Thanks, I'm glad you like it... What color is he supposed to be?" I ask and his jaw drops.
"He's green... Have you never seen Cars! There's movies and shorts and a series then theirs Planes! How can you not have seen them!?" He rants.
"Oh umm..." I say feeling less peaceful. Stupid! I hate when I don't know things! No wonder people think im a child when I don't know anything. All I know is running for my life... No I am a grown woman... What am I doing? I was actually acting little? I called him daddy! I feel my face heating up... I need to get out of here. I look around seeing an open window I run towords it and dive out shifting mid air. I hear a growl behind me as I make my way home.
I fly through the window and shift back to my human form... I miss having his shirt... No! Shape up! You need to leave.
I look around the apparent and my stomach sinks... Its empty.
He wasn't kidding when he said he would send someone for my stuff. I knew he got my goggles because he gave them to me but I didn't expect it all to be gone. There is only one person I know who might be able to help me... Hopefully he doesn't know who my mate is yet.

"What are you doing back here little one?" Landon asks as I enter his office. Good thing he works late and good thing I had a change of clothes under my desk.
"I need your help." I say and he stands up. He takes my hand and leads me over to the couch sitting next to me.
"Tell me what happened." He says and I shake my head.
"I can't... You wouldn't understand... I just need to get out of town and quickly." I tell him and he gives me a stern look.
"You better not be in trouble little girl... Tell me what happened and maybe I can help you." He says and I groan.
"Never mind I'll figure it out myself. I never should have come here!" I panic and jump up ready to leave but the stupid wolf is quick to pick me up and sit back down holding me close.
"Oh no you don't." He says as I fight him. "Calm down little one and talk to me."
"Let go of me you overgrown dog!" I yell and his grip tightens.
"So you do know what I am." He says and I still. Stupid me! "And you smell of my cousin so you've been on pack lands... Maybe I should just give Brenton a call and figure this all out?"
"No!" I yell.
"Then tell me what happened." He says and I sigh relaxing in his hold.
"He made me forget the bad... He made me feel safe and small and protected..." I start and he nods.
"Those are good things little one." He says and I shake my head.
"But then the spell broke and I felt so stupid and embarrassed! I couldn't even be little right cause I don't know what Cars is! I don't know the stuff kids know! I never was one! I can't do it! And if the vampires come for me he will get hurt and it will be all my fault!... No I need to run. I know how to run. It's all I know." I rant and Landon holds me close rocking me back and forth.
"The vampires won't get you my little bat." I hear a voice and look to the doorway. "You don't need to run any more. I'm the daddy its my job to worry about you. You get the chance to have the childhood you missed... I already love you princess. Its time to stop running."
I look at him a moment before running into Brenton's arms.
"Sorry." I mumble and he sighs.
"I was so scared baby girl. I didnt know where you went... I thought I lost you." Daddy whispers.
"Sowwy." I mumble again.
"Don't ever do that again. You run off again and you won't be able to sit for a week am I understood?" He growls and I feel even worse.
"Yes daddy." I whisper and he hugs me tight again before lifting me up onto his hip.
"Thank you, Landy." Daddy says.
"No problem, Brent. It was obvious the little one needed her daddy." Landon responds looking sad.
"You'll find yours cousin." Daddy says and Landon gives a half hearted grin.
"I know... Take your girl home." He says and daddy nods before leaving the office with me in his arms.
