《Magi Judar x Reader Oneshots》۞ Judar x Reader: Joke part three

You tried walking away from Judar so that you can work on your other chores and such. But to no avail, the black-haired Magi did not allow you. He seized your hand, forcing you to face him.
"(First Name), to get this over with, just come with me," Judar demanded.
You sighed, knowing that arguing won't result in any good and so, you let him drag you wherever he wanted.
He led the way to the training area of the Imperial Palace. Scanning the whole place, no one was around.
Where's Prince Hakuryuu, I wonder?
"Hakuryuu?" Judar's voice interrupted your thoughts.
You tilted your head, how did he know—?
"Hakuryuu's currently at Sindria with Kougyoku," Judar said, a smirk forming on his lips seeing how confused you were. "You think out loud, that's why?"
"Ugh," you made a face. "Stop smirking like that. Doesn't suit your ugly face," you countered jokingly, but your tone made him think that you were serious.
"For real, (First Name)?" Judar asked. He then leaned closer and stared at you blankly.
Before you could respond, he continued, "Well, this ugly face here will stop smirking because he will teach Miss Shorty how to do the space-time magic since he's such an angel."
"If you're an angel, you got me wondering what that makes me, Judar," you said sarcastically.
Judar started to fly away wordlessly until you stopped him from doing so, by grabbing his hand.
"Alright, Judar the angel. Teach me now," you said in a polite-mocking manner.
Judar stared at you for a moment before agreeing while saying something in the lines of to get this over with and why did I make a bet anyway?
So— Judar's lesson started. The two of you were now hovering in mid-air with ease.

"I'll just do this once since it's tiring so be sure to watch me properly. I won't be telling you the commands or such, like what you learned in Magnostadt. Because that's just bullshit." Judar explained lazily. But you kind of understood. "So, just talk to the rukh about it," he added quietly as he yawned sleepily.
As he said, he demonstrated the magic in front of you. Your (E/C) eyes sparkled in interest and curiosity. Judar disappeared for a second and then you looked around for him, still failing to see him.
You cursed silently as you began to think that he probably ditched you.
"(First Name)!" came in Judar's whining voice. "Where did you goo?" he asked, like a child throwing a tantrum.
"Where did you go," you repeated his question, but monotonously.
Judar let out an exaggerated and long sigh. "Of course, I was just below you! I used that tiring magic and here you are, being mean to me!" he complained.
"Stop being a kid already. So, anything else, sir?"
Judar seemed to think for a moment before saying, "The only people who can use this space-time magic are me, Koumei, and that hag from Reim Empire. That hag and I are Magi, so it's natural. Koumei's—"
"When Prince Koumei uses his Full Djinn Equip, he can execute Dante Al-Thais, a space magic. Yes, I am more than aware, Judar," you were amused to see him explaining something that you already knew. So Lady Scheherazade as well?
"That's why," Judar sighed again, "It's hard to teach that magic. You have to do the rest on your own but I will watch over anyways."
"You're just being lazy."
Without any further instructions from Judar, you managed to learn the space-time magic all by yourself.

"You took a day and a half to learn it?" Judar whined beside you. Both of you were still floating in the air.
"Shut up," you hissed. "I am not a stupid and ignorant Magi like you."
It was true, practicing and performing the magic over and over again was exhausting.
"Who said that I'm stupid and ignorant?" Judar asked.
"You?" A smirk forming in your lips but that soon faded as a question came to your curious mind. "Judar, how come you get tired by doing the space-time magic if you're a Magi? I mean, being Magi means that you have a limitless supply of magoi and so on, right?" you asked as you tilted your head in confusion.
For a few minutes, Judar looked at you vacantly. Within the blink of an eye, he was no longer there.
That's right; he used his space-time magic to get away from you.
"Judaaar!" you whined.
This time, you searched for him everywhere. When you get curious, you tend to bug him until you get a satisfying answer but as always, it wasn't easy to get answers from him.
I think Judar's space-time magic happened a year after Hakuryuu and Kougyoku went to Sindria? Sorry if I got that wrong above! I just had to make Hakuryuu go away. So pretend, pretend, okaaaay~?

Alex and Julius, a pair of brothers, try their best to make it in a North America reshaped by an eldritch apocalypse. “Stop right there Philip!” Julius interrupted, the vein on his temple starting to throb. “I do not want to hear another simile about what magic is. I have had magic explained to me by three cult leaders, a wizard, and a cannibal. I've heard that magic is like a rainbow, all its parts blending together. The human unconsciousness, powerful and unknowable. A body, you don't want to eat the heart straight away. I am sick and tired of people telling me what magic is. I know damn well what it is.” He drew a breath, interrupting his rant. “Magic is a bad joke. A whole lot of setup, for some nonsense punchline. This whole god-damned apocalypse is an eldritch comedy.”
