Lexie's POV

"It's so beautiful Billie.. thank you" I say in awe of the view in front of me

"I know your stressed out and I wanted to help you calm down.. I found this place the other day and I knew you would love it"

We're sitting on a steep grassy field, overlooking the busy city of LA. The lights of the city lighting the night sky

I smile stupidly big at her kind words, taking her hand and holding it tight

It's dark, I can barely see her but I can just about see that she's staring at me

"I love your smile" she says softly. I feel my cheeks blush slightly. Why are they doing that?! "You know.. I'm going to miss you way too much" she continues

"I know.. but times that by a billion and that's right about how I'm feeling" I say sadly, leaning my head on her shoulder

A peaceful silence follows as we each sit in our own thoughts, our hands still tied together

"You see the moon up there?"she says

"Mhmm"

"When you feel sad or lonely, look up at it and remember that same moon is over both of us.. and if we look at it at the same time it's like we're connected"

My heart feels full at her words, my arms swinging around her, my face burying in her neck. "I love that.. Thank you" I whisper, feeling chocked up by how sweet that was

This week has been fun, we've spent every possible moment together, soaking up hugs and giggles before we are away from each other for a little while. I feel sad, but I want her to have the best time in the whole world

"Please have the best time ever.. like seriously so much fun, I can't wait to hear all about it. I know I'm not going to be there in person but I still wanna hear it all, call me text me, everything" I ramble wanting her to know how much I mean it

"Don't worry.. your going to hear all about it" she smiles, kissing the back of my hand

"Good, I can't wait" I say genuinely excited

"I don't want you to go" I cry quietly as we stand saying goodbye at the gate

"I know.. I don't want to leave you"

"Promise you won't forget me?" I ask

"Hey.. don't" she replies, looking into my eyes. I can read her eyes, sighing sadly and hugging her tightly one last time

"I love you the most" I whisper into her ear

"I love you more" she responds, leaving a kiss on my cheek before letting go of me and heading through the airport

My heart is breaking. I know it seems dramatic but she's my best friend, my support system, my fun, my happiness. And now I'm alone for a little while. I have to face school which I already hate way too much and then I come home to be alone. No O'Connells next door to annoy. I miss them already
