Are office romances necessary to your life? The answer is probably not.

I'm not saying work colleagues should never date - it depends on the circumstances. I know couples who met through work and have their happily ever after.

In other circumstances, it's a case of don't go there:

- cute colleague is married or committed in a relationship

- office player

- boss

- you're not that into him/her and vice versa.

- drank too much. Don't blame it on the drink.

Don't play with fire or you will get burnt.
