"All fire can burn you, but will you let yourself get burned or will you live"
Cursed. That was all the fire haired girl could think about when she and Luna were in the carriage. She hadn't listen to anything that Poseidon had said to her after that word was spoken. And when he saw how she wasn't responding and was trapped deep in her mind, he knew that he had to send her back up to the surface. That is where Luna had greeted her, yet Arabella only stood up from the water and walked out of the cave and up those golden stairs. With a worried black haired girl trailing behind her, wondering what had happened down there.
Cursed. The word repeated itself over and over again in her mind. It burned in her mind and it was slowly poisoning it. The mind can be your worst enemy if you're alone and she might be with Luna in a carriage, yet she feels alone. She's alone in her mind and it burns her and thinking about this is even worse. On top of everything else that has happened to her, this happens. She might have gotten more courage from coming back to life, which she still doesn't understand, yet she feels like that courage has crumbled to the ground, as if it was never there at all.
Cursed. The more she thought about it, the more horrible the word was. In her village, there were stories like it always has been in history. People tell stories of things that aren't real, yet perhaps she's realizing that all those stories she heard had a bit of truth in them. Witches, magic and worlds after death exists. Maybe she's overthinking this through, or maybe she's not even thinking this enough but all she can think of is him and what has happened to him and what she can do to help. And she realized that she can't.
Cursed. Even overthinking it makes the word sound foreign in her own mind. After thinking this for some time, she had come to know that all of this is because of her. All of this started because of her and she wasn't even born yet. The prophecy is about her, and because it, he had been wed so many times, and his current wife is with him because he thought she was her. And now when she was with him, all that happened to them was misfortune. Nothing good ever came out of it. Slowly, Arabella begins to wonder if she is his curse. A tear slips down from her eye, but is wiped away by Luna.
"Don't cry, it will be all right. I may not know what is making you cry, yet I do notice something else. Look..." Luna says as she points out the window. Finally getting out of her own mind, Arabella comes back into reality and when her eyes see what Luna had been meaning, she gasps, yet this time it was a happy one. Water forms in her eyes as she can not even believe her own eyes of what they're seeing.
Right outside the carriage, millions of people have gathered around it, she had been so busy in her mind that she hadn't noticed that it had stopped. "Queen Arabella. Queen Arabella. Queen Arabella" They chanted over and over again, they were laughing and they were happy and they wanted her and they did not want her dead, they wanted her because she was their Queen and now they were her subjects. Sure, they might be the sinners from earth, and these people might be demons in human form, but right now, they were her solution.

When they saw her they cheered and they waved at her, she couldn't believe it. After all this time, after all the pain and the confusion and the heartbreak, this was the first time she felt happy. She felt like someone wanted her, and she loved it. She loved the feeling of those people, and so many of them. The people she hopes to be a good Queen to. Turning around from the window, she goes to the door and steps out of the carriage. "I do not think this is wise, they might hurt you" Luna tells her, but Arabella only ignores her.
And when she stepped out of that carriage, for one moment she knew that she could feel like the world is not on top of her shoulders, she felt like she was Arabella, the girl who had become Queen and she was the Queen that the world had waited for. Like all her problems had gone away. "She's so beautiful" "It's her" "We love you" "She's our beautiful Queen" "Long live the Queen" "Her dress is gorgeous" "I wish I was her" "Her eyes are dazzling" "She's the one who will rule us" "Her hair is beautiful" "The crown on her head is pretty" The words keeps going and going as they continue to speak, she couldn't help but smile at them.
She hadn't even said anything and they already loved her, they didn't know her but they loved her and the feeling of being loved by so many people was just what she needed and right there, at this moment, the courage came rushing backs and she was herself once more. "Hello" She says, not even knowing where to start speaking or even what to say to a crowd of millions of people. Everywhere she looks, there are people and she can't even see the castle. She doesn't even know where it is.
"She talked. Her voice is like of an angel. Angel sent to forgive all our sins" A voice comes from the crowd and she blushes at that. Not once had she been called an angel in her whole life, and it felt like she was something more than she was, and maybe she was an angel. She didn't feel it, yet but she was close to it. She was already a Queen, something that still hadn't soaked into her brain, and now they believe her to be an angel.
"Say something else to them, I believe they want to hear your voice again" Luna speaks from inside the carriage, her voice was almost not heard by the girl who's surrounded by the crowd, but she did hear her. She looks back inside the carriage and notices that Luna is hiding, but then she returns to look at her people. Her people, it doesn't sound like something that she will get use to but it is the truth. They're all looking at her, and if it were when she was living in the village, she would feel embarrassed and shy, yet now she feels empowered, and she sees that in each and every one of them is belief.
They believe in her. None but her brothers have ever believed in her. "It fills me up with joy when I look at all of you" She begins to say, not even knowing where she's going with it at this point, she's just sort of in the moment and spinning it up. Then again, never once has she had to speak in front of a crowed before, and especially such a large one, yet she doesn't feel scared of it, quite the opposite.

"You may not know it, yet I have had a hard time recently and now when you're here, all looking at me like I'm your whole world, I finally find myself happy. Happy when I have been lost in sadness" She says, somehow everyone hears her, even at the back and even all those millions of people. There's dead silence when she speaks and they're all listening to her, all feeling the comfort of her voice. "I may not have been in this world for long, yet I know that I will become the Queen that you deserve to have" She speaks.
The smile on her face never leaving it and she can't help but feel this overwhelming feeling of happiness run through her. "You are the best Queen in the world, we are lucky" A voice from the crowd says, and she blushes, though she doubts that anyone will see her blush. A woman walks to her from front of the crowd, the woman has a smile on her face, and light in her eyes. When she's in front of the girl, she bows before her. "My Queen, as your subject, all I ask from you is your touch" The woman speaks.
Arabella gives the bowing woman a confused look, not understanding this. "My touch? Forgive me, I don't seem to understand what you mean" She says, as politely as she can. She's their Queen, she doesn't want them to see her as someone who's rude and not polite. The woman stands up to look at her, yet she stays a bit away from her."Forgive me, my Queen for I was not clear on my words, I wish to touch your hand" The woman speaks, and she smiles at her.
The young fire haired Queen doesn't understand why the woman wants to touch her hand, but then again, she doesn't know everything in this world and this is the first time that she has actually met someone from this world, except for the guards and her maid and Lucifer, but these people are her subjects. "Of course" Arabella tells her and reaches her hand out, not even sure what will happen. The woman gives her a kind smile. "Thank you, your Majesty" The woman speaks and she takes the hand of the girl. At first there was nothing, just a woman holding her hand, then something happened.
It all happened so fast for her, the woman gave her a kind smile, then that smile turned into a wicked one and before she could react to anything, the woman pulled her towards herself and with her other hand, she lifted a dagger in the air. "You're not a Queen, you're a disgrace" The woman speaks, venom laced in her voice. With all the force she had in her body, she stabs Arabella in the stomach with the dagger. The woman lets the girl go and then the panic begins.
"The Queen is hurt, catch that woman" Someone had yelled as the woman had tried to flee, yet did not succeed as loyal subjects of the Queen caught her. And they had her pinned down to the ground, making sure that she would not be going anywhere after what she has done tot heir Queen. People had been so busy trying to catch the one who had did it to her, that they had not noticed in the panic state around them, what was happening to Arabella. The dagger still in her stomach.
The dagger and pierced through her skin and the blade has been lodged all the way into her stomach, just right below the ribs. Pain had gone through her as she nearly fell down but managed to grip into the carriage to keep her balance, yet the pain flowing through her body forced her to let go. She let's out a high-pitched scream, a scream that everyone heard and all attention became on her again. Black spots dance on her vision as she has a hard time even standing and she falls down to the ground, holding her stomach. The fire dress heating up the dagger and it becomes nothing, as Hellfire is the strongest and hottest fire there is.
Blood rushes out of her open wound as the agonizing pain keeps on flowing through her. Having a hard time breathing, she gasps out. She doesn't know what is happening around her, it's like she's alone in the world now, the people around her have gone to her, and some are holding her, and some are trying to stop the bleeding, yet none can touch her dress for they get burned. She doesn't see the faces of the people helping her, or hear their voices as they speak to her.
Luna rushes out of the carriage to be by the Queen's side. The people gasp when they see her, yet don't say anything for they fear for their lives and also they know all about her imprisonment and most people don't want to mess with a person like that. "Get away from her" She says as she pushes the people who had tried to tend to the girl. Kneeling at her side, and looking into her eyes, she sees the life slip out right before her own eyes. The girl might be the most powerful Queen in the world, but she's also human. Or is she?
Knowing that the fire dress will burn her, she presses her hand on the wound to at least try to stop the bleeding, as no cloth is able to touch her without burning to ashes. "No, I'm not letting you die, not again. You have not lived your life yet and my brother still hasn't wed you" Luna whispers to her, she tries to hide the tears that are slipping down from her eyes but feels that she is losing at it and the tears just come from her like a waterfall.
"...I.. I...-" Arabella tries to talk but Luna hushes her softly. "Do not speak, you need the energy" She speaks to her, afraid that the girl could actually be dying, and she might not come back from the dead this time. With all the strength in her body, she lifts the girl up and takes her to the carriage, never even given a second look to the people out there, who worry about their Queen as she does. Luna's dress is burning from the fire and her skin is getting ripped open, yet none matters, she has other things to worry about and knows she shall heal.
When she has laid the girl comfortably in the carriage, she goes back outside. "Make way for the Queen!" She yells out to the people, and they start to move so the carriage can get past them and to the castle. They're lucking the land is flat and easy to go. She goes back into the carriage and it begins to move, she goes back to the dying girl and takes her hand. The bleeding is unable to stop, as she can't stop it with her hands. Arabella is loosing too much blood and that is killing her. She's gasping, desperately trying to breathe.
Luna notices how the fire in her dress is cooling down, and she knows that the only reason it's cooling down is because the girl's life is slipping away, right before her eyes. "Hurry" She whispers, not once in her life has she felt this way. She just needs the girl to get to the castle and she will be able to have someone tend to her, she doesn't even know who, there aren't any healers in the Underworld and the only one they had did kill the Queen and then get assassinated.
"You shall be all right, I swear to you" She whispers to the girl, trying to calm her down as she sees the tears leaking from the corners of her eyes. The carriage ride feels like it is taking forever, especially when on of the girls inside it is slowly and painfully dying. She just came back from the dead. She doesn't even get to live for more than one day before she's being assassinated again. She holds her hand tightly, but then her hand goes numb and Luna looks at her with tears streaming down her face.
Arabella's eyes have closed and her chest is not moving. Luna rushes to her side, feeling her neck for the slightest bit of heartbeat, yet there is none. "No, no, no, no" She whispers as she feels her heart break a little. She falls down to the floor of the carriage, crying and sobbing. The Queen is dead. Again. The fire in her dress is slowly going out and in its place is a red gown, yet, the crimson blood soaks it, and it continues to flow out. The crown on top of her head falls down to the ground next to Luna.
She picks it up and holds it close to her chest, almost as if she's hugging it. She lets out a sob as she takes her hand once again, feeling it cold. It was not long ago that she held her ice-cold hand, and she passed away, yet this time it hurts her even more. She has bonded quite well with her, and she was beginning to see her as her sister. A sister that she has always wanted to have as she only has four brothers and they haven't exactly treated her the right way, they did lock her up for ten thousand years.
Arabella was more of a family to her than any of her actual family members and seeing her dead like this, her face growing paler and her skin growing colder breaks her head more than anything. She used to believe that the only pain that she had ever been through was in that prison, yet losing the girl she considered a sister for the second time is more painful than anything. The fire haired Queen came back from the dead once, yet she might not be able to do that again.
She's no stranger to death. In all her years of living, she has seen many die and none have she cared for, yet when it comes to this girl, she cries harder than she has ever cried for anyone in her life. She feels the carriage come to a stop, but it is too late. The girl is already dead, and even the fire has completely gone out, even Hellfire, the strongest fire of all has gone out with her. Leaving no hope that she will wake again. With the crown in her hands, she stands up and walks out of the carriage, and lets others rush in and take the young Queen out after her.
As soon as she enters the castle it dwells on her that the most powerful Queen in all of history has just passed away, again. And her brother, the one who was supposed to be Arabella's lover and her King is still cursed and now that Arabella's gone, his wife will take the throne, but she will never let anyone else beside the rightful Queen sit on that throne, especially when it's the wife that she hates. Luna follows with them as they take her to the bedroom that she wishes is empty and the sheets have been changed, but as soon as the door opens, she's met with a surprise. One she was not expecting.

I didn't want it any other way. Why the fuck couldn't she see that?-&- Having a normal childhood was completely foreign to the two polar opposites Rosalyn Summers and Rex Turner. Both grew up in the closest thing they knew to Hell, each with terrible problems of their own. Perhaps, that is why they were so drawn to each other. The one no one else dared speak to. Rex's anger issues always got the best of him, even when that idiot girl came tumbling into his life. She just wouldn't leave him the fuck alone. No matter how much he liked it. He could convince himself he wasn't good for her as much as he wanted. It didn't matter, she wouldn't let him be and he would soon refuse to let her go. Completely oblivious to her own darkness raging beneath the surface.*WARNING: This story has quite a few very possessive and controlling men. If that kind of thing isn't for you, this book definitely won't be.** There is also talk of anxiety, panic attacks, and some drug-use mentions.ALSO this story will have a LOT of chapters! It's filled with triggers (mentioned above), but also a bunch of cute scenes, fluff moments, adoring toe-curling moments, and a plot you won't see coming!
