Maader stood watching everyone party. Kil stood beside her while the company partied. Jafar and Rurumu walk onto a balcony above.
"Welcome to our renewal celebration. Now, the new head of our company, Ms. Rurumu will give you her greetings." Jafar says.
"Thank you all for coming here today. Our company was initially founded with Imuchakk as our main trading partner. Then, throughout our journeys, we were blessed with the support of Sasan and Artemyra. However, the New Sindria Trading Company will be even more than that. We're looking forward to new Prospects... and we'll be taking on new kinds of business. Please allow me to introduce someone who has helped guide our company since its establishment... Sindria Trading Company's greatest Benefactor..." Rurumu says.
'This gentleman.' Maader says.
"The King of Balbadd, King Rashid." Rurumu says. Maader was shocked that Rashid was assisting.
"Now that it has been reborn, Sindria Trading Company will develop a new system with Balbadd as the basis. We'll take on new businesses, develop new business circles... Just like we had already told all of you here today. If we succeed., we may be able to change the world market with our own hands. We will dominate the seven seas and become the first company to do so." Jafar explains, "To the future of Sindria Trading Company... Cheers!" Everyone cheers even though everyone knew this was all a ruse for Maader. Maader actually agrees to working with them due to Rurumu convincing her.
Back at the slave room, Sinbad was currently talking to the kids.
"Sinbad. What are you saying there's no way that's true? It's not true that Lady Maader doesn't love us." The kids say. Annalise looks at Sinbad.
"That's right! If you can say something like that, you're not one of us! Aren't you one of mother's children anymore!" The kids say.
"Fatima was shipped out this morning." Annalise says and everyone looks at her in shock, "Just as you all know, he devoted himself to his role as head slave. He respected Maader and was an excellent child. But in the end... even he was shipped out."
"Th-that's just natural." A boy says.
"Because we are all Lady Maader's children." A girl says.
"You don't call something like that a 'child'. It's a slave." Sinbad says, "You're not Maader's real children, are you? You're taken care of as merchandise. Bought and sold. You'll be treated as a commodity until you die. You're nothing like real 'children' you're only slaves. There's no love for someone in your position." The kids freak out while some begin to cry. Annalise kneels down to them and pats their heads.

"I understand I felt the same way that you do now." Sinbad says.
"The truth is that somewhere deep in your heart, you've always known the truth. Maader is not your real mother. Despite that, you wanted to feel close to someone. To be needed by someone... so, you devoted yourself to someone that gave you a place to be... that's true, isn't it?" Annalise asks and Sinbad looks at her. She knew what it was like to have parents as well as him. But she knew what it was like for these children.
"But... let's stop clinging to a lie. Remember the world outside of these walls. Outside, there weren't any cells or chains, right? Outside, you weren't slaves and you lived as human beings. It's a free world where you're not bound by anyone. In that world, there's a chance for you to be whatever it is that you want to be." Sinbad says.
"But there are people who want to take that from you. Your future is being stolen from you by that false mother. We can't allow her inhumane acts to go unpunished." Annalise says.
"That's why we must take action now. To free ourselves from slavery and take back our freedom." Sinbad says.
[LATER]
As soon as Maader returns, she begins looking for Sinbad and Annalise.
"How were your business negotiations?" A guy asks her.
"Wonderful. I want you to call the others here immediately. Is Sinbad here?" Maader asks.
"Yes, I'm right here." Sinbad says as he fakes his obedience to her.
"It's going to get busy from now on. I am going to have you collect slaves from other slave traders. In addition, we're not going to send out any of the slaves we have currently. I'm leaving you two in charge of all of them." Maader explains.
"That's quite an abrupt change..." Sinbad says.
"Yes. The circumstances have changed. Things are going to get interesting." Maader says.
"I'll be going around with Lady Maader to lend her support. We'll leave this place to you." Kil says and Sinbad looks at Annalise before the two watch Maader and Kil leave.
"Yes, please leave it to me." Sinbad says and Annalise looks down at some of the kids gripped her outfit.
Maader learns that she'd been tricked. She goes to Napolia to complain in person. She storms into the building and starts yelling.
"My, my... you came here by carriage all the way from Remano... is something the matter?" Rurumu asks as she walks into the room with Jafar.
"Just what are you going to do?! I've already made all my preparations for shipping out slaves to Balbadd! It was all for nothing!" Maader says.

"Even if you say that, we're also in trouble. We only just heard the news, so I guess now, despite all of our planning, we're back at square one aren't we? Damn it was such a good business opportunity, too. What a shame." Jafar says.
"It was a decision made by a whole country... so there's really nothing a little company like ours can do." Rurumu says.
"Right, and we already began our own preparations to meet their demands." Jafar says.
"The thousand slaves requested by the Mariadel Company. All the money for our preparations has to be paid today." Rurumu says.
"Whether his country chooses to adopt slavery or not, that was our contract. For a merchant, a contract is everything. Isn't that how it is, Lady Maader?" Jafar asks, "Lady Maader, please pay us for all one thousand slaves."
"Wh-What are you saying...? Everything you told me Balbadd adopting slavery was a lie. And now you're telling me I have to pay?! You must be joking!" Maader says.
"Even if you say so, I have our contract right here. Whether Balbadd adopts slavery or not, you must pay what is required by this contract. After all, you did exactly the same thing before, didn't you?" Jafar asks, "The investment you offered our company... wasn't it the same? According to the contract, there's no issue."
"WHAT?" Maader asks.
"According to the contract, there's no issue. If you wish to nullify this, they you must all nullify your past actions. So, you'll have to pay what you promised." Jafar says.
"This upstart company. Everything... Everything was arranged for this purpose. King Rashid, the grand reception, all of it was set up to make me fall into your trap!" Maader says.
"Of course not! There's no way we could arrange something on such a large scale for the sole purpose of deceiving you. The fact that we're taking on new business opportunities is true. The truth is, after all of this, we have plans to more the main branch of our company to Balbadd in order to increase our trading territory. We invited all those involved with our company to that reception to celebrate the news with us." Jafar explains, "We also invited Kind Rashid, but as he is a very busy and important person, he couldn't stay long... however there, no one said a single word about slavery at any time during the reception, did they? I'm sure you must have somehow misunderstood what was going on under the circumstances." Jafar stares at Maader as she glares at him.
"But that kind of excuse won't work. As a merchant, the contract is everything. Please pay up right now!" Jafar says. Maader freezes as there wasn't a way she could pay all that without going broke.
"You look troubled, Lady Maader. It's written in the contract as well, but in the event that you are unable to pay with cash... You seem to have forgotten to let me read it out to you..." Jafar says as he holds it up.
"Lady Maader, we're in trouble! The company funds have been reduced to practically nothing... did something happen?!" Some guys says. She announces that she's going to sell all the slaves and the children hear and get upset. Sinbad and Annalise grab her as they pretend that they were still under her control.
"It's a slave rebellion, ma'am. It happened while you were gone, Lady Maader. Ever since you sold of Fatima, there has been a faction of slaves that has started to harbor suspicions. I did my best to get the situation under control, but it was difficult with you gone, Lady Maader." Sinbad says.
"Whether it was good or bad, Fatima stood out. He must have had an influence on some of the other slaves." Annalise says.
"I was too careless. I never realized that before. That's all their fault, too. I've been yanked around by all of this fake business." Maader says.
"Their fault?" Sinbad asks.
"Sindria Trading Company." Maader says.
'THEY DID SOMETHING!' Annalise and Sinbad's thoughts say in unison and they pretend to not have a reaction.
"That's right. They told me that they were starting up a new company and tricked me. Thanks to them, I'm on the edge bankruptcy. Moreover, of all things... I have to accept it this time... I lost. I lost to them in business." Maader says, "I lost my business property and even you... I'm sorry Sinbad."
"It's okay. I'm your child. So even if I have to leave, my feelings for you won't change. I'll definitely return someday." Sinbad says playing it off.
"Ah... you are such a good boy! Does that mean you'll come too, Annalise?" Maader asks.
"Yes." Annalise says as she stared at the ground.
"I'll work hard to rebuild my companyand buy you back. Ah, I can't stand that their ship will be here tomorrow."Maader says as she hugs Sinbad and Annalise who were faking everything. They glanceat each other with their eyes as Maader wasn't paying attention. They grin atone another.

This is my first attempt at writing a story. I am a complete beginner at this. The closest thing to an organized story I’ve ever written is essay reports back in high school. There might be syntax errors and weird language all over the place. So, apologies in advance. I’ll be trying my best to make this story as interesting as possible, and with your feedback I am sure I can make something nice out of it. Constructive criticism is appreciated. And you are welcome to comment any errors you might notice. I’ll try to fix them up as soon as I can. For now, I don’t have a schedule. But if the story gets traction, I will try to work something out. **Cover Image Drawn by me.
