Situation:

Sonny goes on a very important mission to take out the phantom thief that has been troubling VSF and other citizens of Nijicity.

"Hey Alban, I'll be going out for a bit. I'll be back before you know it."

"Okay. Stay safe, Sonny." Alban yelled, as he waved goodbye to the VSF officer, Sonny Brisko, his boyfriend.

The moment Sonny was out of his sight, he immediately rushed back to his shared bedroom with Sonny, to get his clothes.

Alban Knox is a phantom thief, and his boyfriend has no idea about it. He doesn't have the guts to tell Sonny about his "job".

He had some friends who helped him then, but after he started living with Sonny, it was a little hard to meet up with them.

Alban found out about a diamond that will be showcased to the world tomorrow. He had planned on how he would do it.

VSF has been having a lot of meetings about the mysterious phantom thief roaming around Nijicity.

It was becoming alarming that VSF decided to investigate this matter, but by the time they were starting out, the phantom thief had already kept a low profile.

It became really hard to trace the whereabouts of this phantom thief. Sonny wants to catch whoever this is, so he can get a bonus, and give Alban a gift for their 5th year anniversary.

Sonny took the night shift since it's always a lot easier for a thief to infiltrate a building or do whatever the heck they do at night when it's dark out.

Alban knew Sonny was part of VSF. He had thought that if he got closer to Sonny, it would be easier for him to do his work.

Instead, Alban fell deeply in love with the officer, and now he regrets everything.

As Alban sees the sight of his boyfriend in front of the building, he knows things won't be easy. He sighs and waits for the right timing to get into the building.

After some time, Sonny had left his station and went somewhere else. Alban immediately did his best to stay quiet.

The door of the building was open, so it was easier to get in.

Alban looked around carefully, making sure that he heard everything he needed to hear through his cat-shaped hair clips. Though he was a little unlucky since it had a lot of problems after not having to use it for almost 3 years.

After some time, Alban finds the door that will lead him to what he has been looking for.

He had received a great help from his friend Fulgur, a Cyborg, who has a lot of different equipment used for spying or just to annoy his boyfriend, Uki.

Alban inserts the pin that Fulgur managed to hack. The pin worked but the loud noise was very alarming.

The moment he entered, guns were pointing at him, as a familiar face looked at him betrayed.

"Ahhh... You caught me..." Alban said, sarcastically.

"Put your hands up! Alban Knox, you're under arrest!" Sonny yelled, as he tried not to let his emotions go through.

"What if... I don't want to?" Alban said, as he started to run away.

The VSF officers started to shoot, but Alban was really fast, and he easily dodged the bullets.

When Sonny told Alban that he will be out for some time, he didn't say that VSF was having a meeting about the notorious phantom thief.

The data showed Alban Knox, his boyfriend, and at that moment, he felt betrayed. He couldn't believe it at all.

The agent who had been investigating the phantom thief, said that Sonny was a possible traitor as he was with the phantom thief, as he showed pictures of the two in the comfort of their home.

Sonny didn't know what to say, so he had lied that he already knew Alban was the phantom thief. He lied that he had kept it a secret since the thief was a very smart person.

The others didn't believe it so they stationed Sonny to the building where the auction for the diamond will be held.

Sonny is shaking as he points his gun to where Alban would go. His tears are also falling but he tries not to make it obvious.

Alban had grown tired, he started to slow down a bit and he accidentally got hit by a bullet.

He held his arm firmly in his grasp as he tried to look for the exit or an open window.

As soon as he saw an open area, he looked back and was preparing to jump out, but someone had shot him again, making him fall from where he was to the ground outside.

It was a big fall that made the other officers immediately run out of the building to make sure that Alban won't escape.

Alban can't escape. He was in so much pain that he couldn't stand up. He was so lucky that he was still conscious. All he knows is that he will probably die the moment he closes his eyes.

Sonny was the first officer to get to where Alban was. He couldn't get closer to the male as he was too scared to see if the male had already died.

"Why are you crying? If you have the intent to arrest him, you wouldn't cry over his dead body." The VSF officer, Warren, someone who truly hates Sonny, said.

Sonny didn't spare a glance at the male. He was sick and tired of the male throwing shit about him.

They used to be friends before Sonny was promoted as commander for their division. Warren felt betrayed since Sonny showed no interest in the position.

It was true. Sonny never cared about it. But after meeting Alban and finding out the past the male had to experience, he was willing to take it so that he could spoil Alban as much as he wanted to.

By now, everyone who was standing near the Museum had already surrounded Alban. They were just waiting for the command of their commander.

Sonny dropped his weapons asking the others to do the same and for someone to call an ambulance.

Sonny mustered up the courage to walk closer to Alban and sit beside the male.

"A-alban?" Sonny managed to say through his tears.

"S-sonny... I-I thought y-you were j-just going to stand th-there..." Alban said in between every cough. He still managed to smile despite the situation he is in.

"Don't talk too much. You're going to have a harder time. Okay?" Sonny said.

Alban chuckled and said, "I d-don't have any more t-time left, Sonny."

"Don't say that... You still have to pay for what you did and to apologize to me for not saying a thing."

"I'm sorry, Sonny. I don't think I'm going to make it..."

"You will... I believe in you... You had your reasons, Alban... I know you have."

At this point, the other officers could hear Sonny's sobbing that made them confused. After all, he was the one who had shot Alban twice.

"S-sonny... D-don't cry..." Alban said, reaching out to Sonny's face to wipe his tears away.

"Don't l-leave m-me..." Sonny said.

"I'm n-not going to l-leave you... I'll l-look after y-you. Maybe I w-won't be beside y-you anymore, b-but I'll always b-be in your h-heart."

Sonny cried even louder as he shook his head caressing Alban's hand that was placed on his right cheek.

"Listen, Sonny. W-when y-you get home... call the n-number on the p-paper in my journal and tell the p-person what h-happened... A-also tell them I h-had asked you to bring the b-box that has my name on it. I w-was s-supposed to g-give it to y-you for our a-anniversary, but I d-don't think it w-will happen."

"Who cares about our anniversary if you're not even with me?!"

"Sonny, you know I love you right? I will always love you."

"I love-"

Sonny's words were interrupted by the siren of the ambulance.

A bunch of people helped Alban get on the stretcher as he was rushed inside the ambulance.

Sonny was able to go with him since an officer will be needed to look at him.

"Sonny, l-look at me..." Alban said.

"Don't strain yourself, Alban. Just take a rest. We'll be at the hospital soon." Sonny replied.

"No, Sonny. Listen to me. No m-matter what happens, I-- will always b-be with you."

"You have to live, Alban."

"I don't h-have it in m-me to look at y-you after I l-lied to you." Alban replied. His breath was starting to slow down. "I l-love you, Sonny, and I-I will-"

Alban didn't finish his sentence as he closed his eyes, and his hands went limp. Sonny started to panic and asked the nurse what was happening.

The nurse started to search for his pulse and to see if it was still okay. When it was, she started doing CPR as Sonny told the driver to hurry up.

Moments later, they had arrived, and a bunch of people came to assist Alban inside.

Sonny explained everything that happened to another nurse as the others brought Alban to the emergency room.
