GWEN'S POV
The raindrops were as frequent and numerous as my tears. I released another sob. I loved Harry. I loved listening to his voice as he sang me quiet lullabies. I loved the feeling of his arms when he held me in an embrace. I loved the way his smile lit up the room when he saw me. But he loved Chris, not me.
I curled into the fetal position as I stared up at the statue. Chris was everything I could only wish to be. She was beautiful, her statue looked so graceful. Her body looked perfect with Harry's, she was shorter than he was, but short enough to where she could rest her head on his chest and listen to his heart, which only beat for her, not for me. I began sobbing again and I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned my tear stained face up to see who it was. Blue eyes filled with compassion met mine as the figure pulled me up against their chest and cradled me in their arms. They held me bridal style, but didn't move. They just held me there against their chair as I sobbed into their neck.
"Gwen, I heard what happened, I'm so sorry!" Niall murmured into my ear. I nodded and began to shake, the rain chilling me to the bone. He carried me into the house and up the stairs before he put me by my fireplace in my room. He started it quickly and brought me a towel. He turned to leave, but I caught the sleeve of his shirt.
"N-Niall, p-p-please don't leave m-me!" I stuttered. His blue eyes danced in the firelight and he gave me a sad smile before he nodded and sat down by me.
"Gwen, you should take a hot shower and put on dry clothes to heat you up." He whispered. I nodded and stood up. I walked into the bathroom and turned to close the door, but opened my mouth to say something to Niall.
"You'll be here when I'm done?" I whispered, my voice cracking.
"I promise." I nodded and shut the door. I peeled off my wet clothes and turned the shower on. I climbed into the water and sank down to the floor. The water rained in my head as I pulled my knees to my chest and put my face on my knees. I cried as I sat there. My heart felt as if it were crumbling to pieces.

There was a knock on the door.
"Gwen? Are you okay?" Niall called softly.
I choked back a sob before I answered,"Yes!" I stood up and quickly showered. I stepped out and turned off the water. I wrapped the towel around myself and stepped out. I walked into my closet and shut the door before I dropped my towel and tugged on a pair of flannel pajamas. I brushed my hair and went back into my bedroom where I sat down beside Niall on the floor. He wrapped and arm around me and gave me an awkward side hug. When he pulled away, he left his arm around my shoulder and I leaned into him as my heart went numb. My whole body went numb. I couldn't even feel the pain of Harry not loving me. The crackling of the fire lulled me to sleep in Niall's arms.

"Gwen?"
A voice called in the distance. Who the hell?
"Gwen?" I turned around and came face to face with a beautiful woman.
"W-who are you?" I asked her.
"Gwen? It's me, Christina."
"Chris?"
"Yeah," She said with a smile.
"What are you doing here?"
"I don't have much time. But Harry-"
"I don't wanna talk about him."
"But, Gwen, it's important!"
"I don't want to hear it!"
"Gwen, Harry-" Chris was cut off, thank god, by another voice.
"Gwen?" The voice called.
"Ugh."
"Gwen, it's time to get up." Niall murmured to me sweetly.
"I don't want to."
"Gwen, I know it hurts, and I'm really sorry, but you have to get up and face it. I would take your pain, but my power doesn't allow me to meddle with the pain of a break up or relationship issues. I'm really sorry, Gwen." He whispered as a tear fell down my face. He pulled me into a hug.
"I don't think I can do this." I sobbed.
"It'll be okay, Gwen. He may be your first love, but he's not your last."
And with that, Niall pulled me up off the bed and pulled me into the bathroom. He ran the brush through my hair as I stated at the broken girl in the mirror before me. Her eyes used to shine with life, but were now glistening with tears and sadness. There were bags under her eyes and her skin was pale.

Niall put the brush down and pulled my hair back into a pony tail. He took my hand and led me out of the room, down the stairs, and into the kitchen where we were greeted by Eleanor, Liam, Dani, and Perrie. Liam quickly stood up with his cup of steamy blood and hurriedly excused himself. Niall grabbed a bloodbath and bowed out as well. I stood there awkwardly, but I didn't care anymore. Eleanor put an arm around me and led me over to the table where she gently pushed me into a chair. Perrie handed me a cup of tea and Dani put a plate of French Toast in front of me.
"Gwen, we heard what happened. We're really sorry." Dani began.
"Can we just not talk about it for now?" I whispered in a monotone and all the girls nodded."Thanks for the breakfast, but I'm not hungry..." They nodded sympathetically and cleared away my plate. I gingerly took a sip of tea, but couldn't taste it as it ran down my throat. I sat it down and stared at my hands on the table. Perrie put a hand on my arm and I looked up.
"Come on, Gwen, how about we go to the entertainment room, watch Friends all day, swap stories, and eat tubs of icecream?" The girls all smiled at me and they looked so hopeful that I couldn't decline. I nodded and they pulled me up from the table and into the entertainment room where they covered me with a blanket on the couch and put a container of strawberry ice cream on my lap with a spoon.
Friends came on and I shoveled ice cream into my mouth.
*****
A carton of ice cream and ten episodes of Friends later, the tv was shut off and we were ready to swap stories as Eleanor tossed me a carton of chocolate ice cream.
"Before I met Zayn, I dated this horrible wash bag, he only dates me for my looks. A week later, he dumped me for Ashton Laynce. Thank God I don't have to deal with that idiot anymore!" Perrie told me and a small smile graced my lips.
"Oh, you mean Robin?" Dani asked with her nose crinkled. Perrie nodded,"Ewwww, I remember him. He always stared at you like you were something to eat!"
"Disgusting!" Eleanor agreed and a small laugh left my lips.
"Ladies? Dinner is ready!" Louis announced as he poked his head in.
"Come on, Gwen," Perrie held her hand out to me and I took it.
"Keep your chin high," Eleanor added as she tilted my chin up.
"And be strong." Dani added as she gently rubbed my back.
I nodded and we walked into the kitchen. We all sat down, Eleanor on my left, Perrie on my right. Everyone except Harry and Zayn were at the table.
"They can't make it to dinner," Louis said casually as he sat down beside Eleanor. I nodded to Louis, glad that dinner wasn't going to be THAT awkward. Niall sat down by Perrie and Liam and Dani sat together. We ate in silence before I cleaned my plate, dumped it in the sink, and excused myself to my room, where I quickly showered and climbed into bed. I curled myself into a ball and cried myself to sleep in the darkness.
A/N awwww, so what do you guys think of Gwen and Niall? I hope you enjoyed this chapter. You know what to do if you did. See ya!
