《Secrets. (skeppy x badboyhalo)》- Thirteen

Zak and I spent the next week or so together, being gay and dumb. Truth be told I was head over heels for him, he was genuinely perfect.
All of his small dumb moments made everything we went to in the beginning worth it.
(switch to 3rd pov)
.
"Hey Darrylllll,,,"
"Yes, dear?"
"Close your eyes, I have a surprise!!"
"Hm, okay my love."
Darryl closed his eyes as Zak went and ran to the kitchen. He his Darryl's present in the kitchen because he knew he was most likely to look in there for something. After searching for a moment he ran back to Darryl and held out his hands.
"You can open them now!" He said followed by a little giggle. He stood and watched as Darryl opened his eyes and looked into Zak's hands.
"A... A receipt?"
"Mhm!"
"I uh.. I love it baby..!"
Zak giggled at Bad as he stared at the receipt with confusion.
"You don't even know why you love it yet, silly."
"Well I uh..."
"It's the receipt from the morning you took me out to breakfast. It's kinda dumb, but like, idk.. It signifies the beginning of all of this!"
Immediately Darryl's eyes welled up with tears. He grabbed Zak and tightly wrapped him in a hug, whispering soft, sweet things into his ear.
"Thank you, baby. I love it."
.
.
"So wait.. Are you really gonna take me to driver's training?"
"Well of course I am. You need to be able to drive."
"But if I don't then you'll have to drive me everywhere, meaning I'll get to spend all my time with you..!!"
Darryl's cheeks grew a little hot at Zak's words. Even though he knew Zak had to learn to drive for a world of reasons, driving him everywhere didn't sound all that bad.

.
"Cookie dough! Cookie dough! Cookie dough!" Zak chanted while trying to steal the tub of cookie dough out of Darryl's hands.
"For the last time Zak, you cannot eat raw cookie dough."
"But I-"
"No, you could get sick"
Zak stood there and pouted while pulling off his best puppy dog eyes. He hugged up again Darryl hoping to catch him off guard and take the tub, unfortunately that didn't work out.
"Listen Zak, we can make cookies tomorrow, okay?"
"But... Why not tonight?"
"It's way too late. We have school in the morning."
"It already is the morning, might as well make them now."
Darryl wanted to say no but Zak did have a fair point. So there they were, making cookies at 3 Am.
.
(back to Darryl's pov)
Zak and I were sitting on the couch watching a movie when he got a phone call. Zak stared at it for a moment before going wide eyed and panicking slightly.
"Hold on... It's my mom. I'll be right back."
And with that he walked into the kitchen and answered the phone. I tried listening as best I could, but I couldn't understand all that much.
After a few minutes of being on the phone he ran back into the living room with the biggest smile on his face. Whatever she told him was amazing news.
"HEY GUESS WHAT, GUESS WHAT!!!"
"What is it, muffin?"
"So okay basically while I was gone, which has apparently been forever, my mom and my sister found an apartment!!"
He started to tear up as he finished speaking. I pulled him into a tight embrace and began to play with his hair.
"That's wonderful!"
"And I told her about you and she... She wants to meet you..! She said we can visit later today when she's finished up a bit of the packing!!"

For what seemed like the first time Zak had some genuine enthusiasm in his voice. He seemed genuinely happy and excited.
Hell, I was too. I was actually going to be able to meet more of his family without getting punched or something. It was a win to me.
While waiting for his mother to call again we finished up our movie and cuddled. The future was really looking up.
Eventually after Zak checking his phone every two minutes he got the text he had been waiting for. I could tell because his face instantly lit up.
"Come on, come on! We have to gooooooo," He said while grabbing my hand and basically pulling me out the door.
"Okay, okay. Let's go, baby."
[time skip to Zak's mom's apartment]
As we arrived Zak basically jumped out of the car. Before I could yell at him for jumping out of the car before it was parked, he was already running towards the entrance.
Once I caught up to him we made our way up a flight of stairs. Luckily she only lived on the second floor of the seven floor apartment complex.
Soon we reached her door and Zak began to softly knock on the door. It took a few times, but eventually we heard the door unlock.
"Hi you guys!! Come in!" She welcomed us both inside and shut the door as we walked in. The second the door was shut she began to hug Zak.
"I just missed you so so so much!"
"I missed you too mom..!"
After letting go of Zak she looked over at me and smiled, before beginning to speak again.
"Introduce me to him, please."
"Oh that's my fr- boyfriend, Darryl!"
I shot him a look of slight disappointment and he looked back at me like he felt bad.
"Don't look at me like that, I'm not used to saying you're my boyfriend yet," He said while fake pouting.
"So, tell me more about yourself Darryl!"
I spent the next few hours being questioned by his mom. Usually I hate being asked questions, bu this time it wasn't all that bad. Well, until one of them.
"Do you two think you'll end up adopting?"
Both Zak and I nearly died right there. Honestly, we hadn't thought that over at all. One week is definitely not enough time to plan the whole kid thing. Zak and I stared at each other for a moment before he spoke.
"Yes, well that's the goal at least..!"
I nearly died right there, yet again. I don't know what response I was expecting, but god damn that was not it. Though, I didn't mind it. Being a parent always interested me, so why not.
"That's wonderful news!!" She said while her face lit up. Maybe I have a family after all.
We spent the rest of the night talking and helping unpack here and there.
"Hey.. Uh.. Darryl,, is it okay if I stay here tonight..?"
Although part of me wanted to say no, I said yes. I knew he hadn't seen her in a while, and it's literally his mom, so I couldn't be selfish about it. Him and his mom thanked me and what not before I went to head home.
Once I got back home I just cried. It felt exactly like it did before he came into my life. I sat there, alone, wishing for someone to talk to.
And then my phone went off.
Baby <3
i hoep youre having a good night!!! i miss u so much,, i lov uu
Then I remembered I wasn't alone. Not completely at least.
For the first time in a long time, I slept comfortably by myself.
