"Asmodeus, don't you have classes?" You crossed your arms, furrowing your brows.
"Love, don't furrow your brows. It's going to increase your headache." He spoke, not even bothering to look at you to know. He was busy shuffling on the bag he brought. "Aha! Here! I bought something easy to digest!"
"How did you even know I was sick?"
"Well, you looked like you didn't feel well last night, and your sibling called to ask me if I wasn't busy so I could take care of you." Asmodeus smiled warmly at you. You squint your eyes.
"You gave them your number?"
"Well, my future sibling should have their brother-in-law's number in case of emergencies. Like this one." Asmodeus went past you, heading for the kitchen. You followed closely.
"Hah! In-law, my ass. Asmo, what d–"
"You called me Asmo!" He squealed. Spinning on his heel, he snuck his arms between your torso and arms, hugging you closely.
Your neck felt warmer than before.
"Wh–"
Just before you could tell him off, Asmodeus released you almost immediately. He looked shocked, much to your surprise.
"Oh! Sorry, I have to ask you before I do it, right?" He slightly bowed in apology. "Um, I'll heat this up for you, alright?"
"..."
...What was that about?
Asmodeus confidently saunters along your kitchen, grabbing a small pot and opening the container of what you assumed to be soup. Or noodles, you weren't sure.
He then poured them on the pot and turned on the stove.
"...You know you could have just microwaved them over there?"
- - -
Once Asmo had finished, he ushered you back to the living room, where his bag was situated. Your eyes wandered to the bouquet of roses.
The colors varied. Yellow roses were arranged by the edges, followed by yellow roses with red tips, slowly transitioning into orange roses, then light pink. In the center were lavender roses.
You gazed at the bouquet in wonder. Those were surely more captivating than those plain red roses he first set on your desk back then.
"Asmo, what are those roses for?" You inquired once he was done setting up the bowl on the table in the middle of the living room. He paused, gaze flickering over to the bouquet before back at you. He flashed you a grin.
"You like them?"
"Those are expensive, aren't they? What for?"
"You, obviously." He chuckled. "I thought it was appropriate for visiting your house. The first time I came here, I didn't even bring anything."
"These flowers will go to waste." You remarked.
"Mmm, nope. You don't receive flowers often, do you?"
"Is that an insult?" You raised a brow, eyes half-lidded. Asmodeus shook his head. "Not really. It just seems more like you don't know what to do with them."
"Well, what are you supposed to do with them?"
"...Well, your sibling said they were going to replace those wilting roses over there." Asmodeus pointed over to a vase with dying roses. "So I brought you some pretty ones!"
"...I see."
"I bought you some candies too in case you're in the mood to taste something." Asmodeus sat down next to you. He then held up the bowl, holding the proper utensil. He then slowly made his way to your lips.
"(M/n), say aahh~"
"I don't need you to feed me–"
"It's dripping on my hand." He spoke with gritted teeth, though he was still smiling. You hesitantly partied your lips.

He picked up a spare tissue and wiped his hand with it before going in for another scoop. You frowned. "I said I ca–"
"I don't think you'd have enough energy to argue with me. You know I'm just as stubborn as you, right?"
- - -
You fell back onto the cushions, wishing the Asmodeus who just fed you earlier was a mere hallucination.
"Are you planning on leaving anytime soon? I didn't get to ask you why you skipped out on class. Aren't you supposed to be a student council member?"
"Psh, Mammon gets to set a bad example. Why can't I?" Asmo paused. "That was worded wrong. I meant, I'm allowed to do these things sometimes. And going absent isn't exactly that bad. I'm taking care of you, after all."
Asmo stands up, taking the bouquet and handing it over to you.
You caught a whiff of the roses and gave it back, despite the undeniably alluring scent. With a pout, Asmo took it and walked over to the vase with wilting flowers. Gently untying the ribbon on the bouquet, he began to replace the flowers.
"(M/n), don't deny my help. I like doting on you." He spoke, his back turned to you. Even so, you could hear the smile in his tone. "And besides, it was my fault you ran in the rain yesterday, anyway."
"Mammon was with Yuki earlier. Yuki was wondering if you were mad at them." Asmodeus started suddenly.
"Did you have to mention Mammon?" You groaned. Asmo hummed,. "Well, I just thought you should know. Your sibling told me you had a fight with Yuki, sort of."
"I just didn't want Yuki to come over."
"Luckily for you then. You have the great and beautiful Asmo to take care of you!"
"..." Your frown deepened, then you sighed.
"Thanks for not joking to my sibling about the courting thing."
"Joking?" Asmodeus repeated with a brow raised. You chuckled. "You know. About the whole courting me thing for a real relationship?"
"...You think I was joking?" Asmodeus halted his movements, hands grasping the stems of the roses midair. You raised a brow. "Aren't you?"
"..." Asmodeus stood there silently as you waited for him to laugh.
Though he never did.
Instead, he began to hum as he resumed his task. You sat quietly, slightly unnerved by his lack of response.
Your phone rang, signaling a text message has been received. Unable to keep your eyes on Asmo's back, you opted to open the device.
Yuki had texted you quite a lot this morning, which were all left ignored. Instead, the new message was from Simeon. You perked up, slightly confused.
You didn't even know you had his number saved on your phone.
This was the first message from either of you.
- - -
Simeon: Good evening.
Simeon: I've noticed you're not in class today. May I ask if anything happened?
(M/n): Ah, I just caught a cold. Don't tell Yuki for me, please.
Simeon: I figured.
Simeon: I'm not exactly sure why you wouldn't want me to inform Yuki, but I'll respect your decision.
(M/n): Thanks, Simeon. You're the best.
Simeon: I'm flattered, haha.
Simeon: Do you have anyone taking care of you?
(M/n): Somewhat.
(M/n): Are you offering to come over?
Simeon: I'm still in school, but I can try in a few minutes?
(M/n): I'm kidding, Simeon. I'm not exactly sure why you'd do so much for me.
(M/n): We hardly even talk, no offense.
Simeon: Well, I did see you in the rain last night.
Simeon: Sorry for not asking earlier.
Simeon: I only noticed you weren't here since it's the last period where we share a class.
Simeon: And about how we hardly talk...
Simeon: I've always been meaning to. I'm sorry for being a little cowardly.
(M/n): I'm not going to bite your hand off when you do, Simeon. You seem kind. Don't hesitate to approach me.
Simeon: I'm glad. Then, I will when you come to school!
- - -
"(M/n), are you messaging someone?"
"...!" You were startled, shutting your phone off instinctively. Asmo was still facing the vase, dusting his hands off slightly. He turned to you, face bearing a strange blank smile.
"Was it Yuki?"
"Oh, um, no. Just... Someone from class." You nervously answered. That didn't need to feel so nerve wracking than it was.
"...Then, (M/n). Do you really think I'm joking when I've already come so far?" His smile broadened. As much as it served to soothe you, it merely did the opposite.
"It's just more believable than thinking you'd actually like me after one or two interactions. Ones that are both negative, mind you." You honestly answered.
Asmodeus sighed, swiftly neatening up the vase before making his way back into the sofa and sitting next to you. He purposely sat closer to you, very much so he could practically feel the heat your skin transmitted to his'. He laced an arm around your arm, thighs touching yours.
"(M/n), I'm surprised you're in more denial than I am."
Just as quick as he came, he stood up and detached himself from you before you could even properly process what happened.
(Moving your bangs up,) He placed a kiss on your forehead.
He ruffled your hair, chuckling. "Get some sleep. I think your sibling is coming home soon. I'll go since you don't look to appreciate my presence."
"..."
"..."
"THAT WAS THE PART WHERE YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DISAGREE–!"
- - -
Simeon: (M/n), do you dislike cakes or pastries in general?
(M/n): What gave you that idea?
Simeon: I heard Asmodeus crying to Solomon about you giving a cake away or something.
(M/n): wtf
(M/n): Um, ignore that.
(M/n): Oh, are you close with them?
Simeon: I'm close to Solomon, I suppose. Not as much with Asmodeus.
Simeon: I heard he was courting you? You said he was supposed to appologize.
"Tell him the courting thing is the right one."
A shriek nearly rips from your throat at the whisper on your ear. You dropped your phone in shock, a soft thud heard through the room. You grew furious.
"Why the hell were you reading my messages?!"
"You weren't giving me any attention, so I grew bored." Asmodeus rested his cheek on the sofa. His cheek flattened due to the action. He stared at you with his eyes half-lidded.
"Still, do you not care about privacy?"
"...Sorry."
"...You can't keep doing things and saying sorry, Asmo. That's not how it works."
"..." He closed his eyes before nodding, despite his place on the sofa. "...Alright, I won't do it again. I'll be more mindful."
"...Huh." You weren't sure how to respond to the mature response. You just dearly hoped he kept the answer in mind.
"...You've been moving around the house ever since you got here from school. Aren't you tired?" You inquired out of the blue. Asmodeus perked up, tilting his head to see upright. "Hmm? I guess so."
"...You should rest for a bit. Do you have a curfew?"
"...Awww, (M/n), you're so sweet." A tint of pink began to cover his cheeks, slowly covering his face in a flattering shade.
Strange, was it your eyes, or did the lights in the living room get weird?
You poked his cheek. "Rest here in the living room. I'll go to my own room to sleep as well. I'm sure my sibling would be fine with waking you up."
The look on his face was pure horror, it's as if you told him you slapped Lucifer under his command. He stood over the sofa and leaned closer to your face, eyes glossy.
"You want to leave me all alone like this? What if you throw up and choke on your own vomit?!" Asmodeus desperately reasoned. You furrowed your brows. "What do you want me to do? Have you rest in my own room?"
"Yes???"
"I only have one bed in my room, idiot. If you stayed there, you'd have to sit on a chair or on the ground."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"I'm not letting you sleep with me on my bed."
"Aww."
- - -
It was merely a tease, truly.
You didn't think Asmo would be this persistent.
So there you laid, staring up at the ceiling of your room. Your eyes flickered to your desk, where Asmo sat, arms laid on the table with his head resting on them.
You hoped this was merely for show, as it would be a pain to wake up in such a horrid posture.
Your phone rung.
- - -
Simeon: ...Perhaps I upset you by bringing up Asmodeus and his recent actions.
Simeon: I'm sorry.
(M/n): What
(M/n): Ah, ahaha, Simeon.
(M/n): How can I get angry at you?
(M/n): It's not that. I just shut my phone off and failed to respond.
(M/n): I'm not upset with you, duh.
Simeon: Really?
(M/n): of course!
Simeon: Then I'm glad.
(M/n): About the pastry and cakes question, I'd have to answer the opposite. I don't detest them, of course. That was merely for show for Asmo.
Simeon: Ohh.
Simeon: I was actually thinking of asking if you'd like some of what a café near our house offers.
(M/n): Simeon?
Simeon: I could bring you some, if you'd like?
(M/n): My, that's too much! Simeon, you're gonna have me thinking things here.
Simeon: Things like what?
(M/n): You...
(M/n): Whatever. It's just too kind of an offer, stupid.
Simeon: Alright then, can you just tell me what catches your eye?
- - -
Simeon sends a picture of what you'd assume to be the menu of said café. Not thinking much of it, you chose a certain cake from the list.
After that, the conversation didn't last very long since Simeon advised for you to take a rest in case. Not wanting to persist, you agreed.
It wasn't long after you shut your phone that your eyes began to grow heavy.
You weren't sure how long you had been napping, because the next time you opened your eyes, something was blocking your view.
You blinked a few more times, only to realize you were staring at a sleeping Asmo's face. You were startled.
"Wh– Asmo...?!"
Your loud whisper snapped the male awake, prompting him to lift his head and rub his eye lids lightly.
"Hm...?"
"Why are you sleeping on the edge of my bed?"
"...I missed you."
"...Just get on. Don't blame me if you catch a cold later on." You huffed, feeling pity for his earlier set up.
Maybe he was right about him being just as stubborn as you, but that didn't mean you were heartless.
Asmodeus took a few more seconds to process your words. When he did, his eyes lit up. "Really?!"
"Don't shout. And yes. Just don't do anything weird, okay?"
"Okay!" Albeit barely keeping his excitement in, he carefully went past your body and laid comfortably behind you. He shuffled beneath your blanket and let out a contented hum.
"I love you so much..."
"Uh huh."
