Rose squeals when Lizzie chases after her and it makes me happy to see her enjoying her time.

Scarlett and I sit on a bench next to the playground and watch the two of them goof around.

Their interaction is adorable and I could watch them play forever. I don't know what they're playing but it seems to contain a lot of running around and climbing around on the playground.

Obviously, I don't know Lizzie very well yet but I can tell she loves Rose so much and has a great time, running around with her. It looks so natural how they goof around as if they never done anything else. I turn to Scarlett, a question having formed in my head.

"Does Lizzie have children?" I ask her and for a second she looks surprised but shakes her head.

"No, she doesn't. Why?" She asks back and turns to face me. I do the same and pull one leg up onto the bench.

"The way she interacts with Rose just looks like she knows how to treat children very well." I explain my thoughts and Scarlett smiles and hums in agreement.

"She does know how to treat and play with children. Maybe it's also because she knows Rose very well and for a long time." Scarlett thinks out loud and I slowly nod, that could be a factor.

"She's Rose's aunt, in some way?" I ask, remembering how Rose called her that and wanting to know more. Scarlett looks over to them and nods, drifting off into memory for a few seconds before turning her attention back to me.

"She's Rose's godmother. I got to know her when we were working on Avengers: Age of Ultron together and we immediately got along great. We ate lunch together a lot of times and would meet on free days. It felt nice having more female actors on set and Lizzie is such a sweet and friendly person, that I liked her from the beginning. During the shooting of this movie, I was pregnant with Rose and whenever I didn't feel good, she was there for me and comforted me. Of course, I have other friends but she felt like the right pick for this position, so I made her Rose's godmother." Scarlett tells me and I smile at the sweet story and remember the movie.

My eyes look over to the two goofballs, who are currently climbing up the slide.

"Since Lizzie is an actress, she wasn't able to visit whenever Rose wanted but she did whenever she could. Especially during and after the divorce, she was there for me and Rose a lot. She helped us through the hard time and I am very thankful for that. Her and Rose are pretty close and whenever she visits, Rose is super excited and wants to spend every day with her. A little while back, they invented the Lizzie-Rose-day, where they would spend a whole day together, doing whatever they please. I don't mind that at all because I know Rose is safe with her and will have a tone of fun. And I get a day to myself, which some times is quite nice. I mean, I love Rose with my whole heart but having a day to myself or to spent with people I like, is also great." Scarlett says and looks back at me. For a second she seems worried that I would judge her for that but when she sees I don't, she relaxes visibly.

"She sounds like a really good friend." I say and the smile on Scarlett's face grows.

"She is and I am so thankful to have her as a friend and godmother for Rose." She agrees and we both look back to Rose and Lizzie.

I turn back and put my foot on the ground again, leaning back against the bench. Scarlett scootes a little closer and intertwines her fingers with mine before leaning her head against my shoulder. The simple action makes my heart beat faster and I smile contently. All it takes to make me happy, is being close to Scarlett and the rest becomes unimportant.

We watch Rose and Lizzie for a while longer until they come running towards us, stopping before running into us. Lizzie looks at our position and a happy smile forms on her lips. Rose pants from all the running and sits down next to Scarlett.

"Can we have ice cream now?" She asks and looks from her mom to me and Lizzie. All of us nod and she jumps up happily before taking Lizzie's hand and pulling her into a direction.

Scar and I get up too and follow them, our hands still holding onto each other's.

Rose seems to know exactly where she's going because a few minutes later, we arrive at an ice cream shop and I chuckle when her eyes grow big at all the flavors. We all choose a flavor and settle down on a bench close by to eat our ice cream.

The silence is comfortable but not very long after Rose finished her ice cream. Now she also tells her mother and Lizzie about knowing more than the other children in her class about dolphins. I watch her tell the story while eating up my ice cream.

When my eyes swipe around the park, I notice a few people with cameras pointed at us. It feels weird to know they're watching us and I highly assume they are paparazzi, so they will take pictures of us. I'm unsure what to do or say, so I gently nudge Scarlett's shoulder and she looks at me, Rose's attention currently on Lizzie.

I nod towards the paparazzi and Scarlett follows my eyes and when she sees them as well, she nods to tell me she knows now.

After Rose finished her story and we're all done with our ice cream, Scarlett suggests to slowly go back to the car since it's getting a little later and they still have to run by a shop. Rose doesn't seem too happy about it but doesn't complain and we make our way back to the car.

I offer to take the subway back home but Scarlett insists on driving me home. When Rose doesn't complain about that, I agree and get into the passenger's seat again, since Rose wants to plan her Lizzie-Rose-day with Lizzie now.

I watch Scarlett drive and soon don't really hear the two in the backseat talk, too mesmerized by the beauty right next to me. I'm not sure what it is but seeing her drive is really attractive and I can't pry my eyes off her.

"You're staring." Scarlett silently notices and I blush a little.

It's not that I didn't think it's obvious but I thought she was concentrated on the street. But the teasing tone in her voice tells me she isn't mad at me for staring.

"Well, I can't help it if you look so amazing." I answer and she flashes me a quick smile before looking back at the road.

"You're sweet. Do you know that?" She asks and I smile a little and hum, not sure what to answer to that.

Scarlett rests her right hand on the console between us with her palm upwards. I chuckle silently at the gesture and lay my hand into hers. She smiles and continues to drive.

When she needs a second hand, she lets go of mine but always takes it back into hers when she can. I swear, this woman is the sweetest and I can't help it but to let my feelings for her grow.

Soon we arrive at my apartment building and I lift up our intertwined hands to give hers a kiss, not wanting to make it awkward for Lizzie or Rose. I wave to them and they both flash me a smile and wave before I get out.

Friday morning I receive a text that makes me smile.

Scarlett: Good morning, y/n :D I hope you slept well. I wanted to ask if you want to come over for dinner and a girls night tonight?

Y/n: Good morning, Scarlett, yes I did, thank you. :) I love the idea! I will be there after work. Anything I should bring?

Scarlett: Great! No, we have everything here and will buy the rest. See you later today <3

Y/n: Alright, I'm looking forward to it <3

With a smile I put my phone back into my pocket and am caught with Jesse grinning at me.

"Let me guess, who just texted you?"

I stretch my tongue out at him before we both laugh and continue our work.

Knowing I'll be over at Scarlett's tonight, makes my whole day better and I'm happy during my shift.

During my ride to the aquarium, I think about what I should wear tonight. I, of course, could wear something casual but is that appropriate?

Should I dress up at least a little?

It's not a date though and Lizzie and Rose are there as well, so maybe no dressing up. Maybe casual is still the best option.

Before my thoughts can run wild over this topic, I arrive at the aquarium and get changed into my working shirt. Most of the time I'm happy when working here but today I'm even happier than usual because I'm so excited to see Scarlett, Rose and Lizzie later. This woman really holds power over my moods, it's almost scary but I fully trust Scarlett.

My shift comes to an end and I almost sprint to the subway as if that would make it come faster.

At home I change into a fresh shirt and some more comfortable pants because I realized that a 'girls night' will probably be a comfy night on the couch and watching a movie with Rose.

I text Scarlett that I'm on my way and smile happily, excited for this evening.

Turns out, my pick of clothes was right because when Scarlett opens the door for me, I see her in comfortable clothes as well.

"Hey." She greets with a smile that I return.

I glance behind her to see if the little sunshine will come running to us but when there's not sign of her, I wrap my arms around Scarlett's waist and pull her a little closer.

"Hi." I say back and see the sparkles in her eyes.

She wraps her arms around my neck and connects our lips in a sweet kiss. As always I just want to melt into it but I am aware we are still in her doorway and there are two people who could potentially see us.

So, I slowly pull away and kiss her nose, making her scrunch it up a tiny bit. The small movement looks adorable and I for sure will do that more often.

Scarlett grins happily at me and lets go of me so I can get out of my shoes. As soon as I'm out of them, she reaches for my hand again and slides her fingers in between mine. I smile at the gesture and we walk into the kitchen. When I see what's happening in there, I can't contain a laugh.

Lizzie and Rose are both covered in flour and have tomato sauce stripes on their cheeks. They are currently putting sauce on the pizza dough and pull goofy faces at each other.

Scarlett chuckles as well and shakes her head before lifting my arm over her shoulder and leaning into me. She changes hands and now her left hand is holding my left hand that's hanging over her shoulder.

"I was gone for three minutes...when I left there was only flour on their hair." She says and chuckles a little. Lizzie looks up at us and grins. Her eyes light up a little when she sees Scarlett leaning against my side.

"What can I say? The little monster just attacked me and I had to defend myself." Lizzie defends her actions, making Scarlett and me laugh a little. Rose looks up, a little offended.

"I'm not a monster. You started with the sauce." She points out and puts her hands on her hips, pretending to be mad but her eyes sparkle with joy.

Lizzie shakes her head and ruffles Rose's hair a little before they finish the pizza. Scarlett leads me over there and I look at all the toppings before deciding on one and helping them to finish the pizza. When it's in the oven, Scarlett turns around to Rose and Lizzie.

"I'd suggest you two go get a shower or else we need to bake you too." She laughs and walks up to Rose, pretending to want to grab her. Rose squeals and jumps off her stool. She takes Lizzie's hand and pulls her to the stairs.

"If you want to, you can put on your pajamas, Rosie." Scarlett calls after them before they are out of sight. We only see Lizzie giving us a thumbs up before they hurry up the stairs.

Scarlett sighs a little and looks around the kitchen that's a bit of a mess. She looks up at me with her best puppy dog eyes and I nod with a soft smile.

"Thank you." She grins and we start to clean the kitchen. I swipe off the flour of the floor while Scarlett puts the rest of the ingredients into the fridge and cleans the counter. It doesn't take long and once we're done, I hop onto the counter.

"So, pizza it is tonight?" I ask and Scarlett turns to look at me after looking at the time on the oven.

"You combined that quickly." She teases and comes to stand between my legs, her arms loosely around my hips.

I hum and nod with a smile. She steps closer to me and leans her head against my shoulder. I wrap my arms around her neck and start to run one hand through her hair.

She melts more into me and hums at the feeling. Having her so close to me and sharing this calm moment makes my whole body fill with happiness and I get this feeling that this is what I want forever.

"You're a little cuddlier today, hm?" I ask, making her look up at me. She looks adorable and nods.

"Rose has two people to cuddle with at the moment and since she doesn't see Lizzie that often, she cuddles more with her." She explains, not jealous though, just observing.

"So, you only cuddle with me because your daughter doesn't? I'm just the substitute?" I tease a little and Scarlett grins.

"Exactly." She agrees and I stick my tongue out at her, which makes her roll her eyes at me.

But a second later she smiles at me and stands on her tippy toes to reach my lips. My heart jumps a little at her cuteness and I bend my head down to meet her lips.

They are soft and warm and move perfectly in sink with mine. It's like they were made for each other because her lips fit perfectly on mine.

One of my hands moves to her cheek while the other stays on the back of her head. Her hands now grab my waist, pulling me a little closer to her. Her tongue brushes over my lips and I open them to welcome her tongue.

After exploring my mouth a little, she starts a slow battle with my tongue and they dance together for a while.

Just as I'm about to lose, we hear someone clearing their throat and pull away immediately. Scarlett's cheeks flush red and when I turn my head, I see Lizzie smirking at us, leaning in the doorframe. My face also heats up a little and I still feel my quickened heartbeat in my chest.

"Should I go upstairs and occupy Rose for a little while longer?" Lizzie teases and pushes herself off the doorframe to step up to us. Scarlett rolls her eyes, her face slowly gaining a normal color again.

"No thank you, you just destroyed the mood." She teases back and Lizzie laughs a little.

Even though she teased us about it, in her eyes I can see that she is truly happy for us and it makes me smile.

Scarlett's hands slide down from my sides to my thighs as she turns a little to face Lizzie. I'm technically trapped on the counter but I don't mind at all.

"Rose will be finished soon and get dressed. We decided the pajamas are a good pick." Lizzie tells us and leans against the counter. Her hair is still wet from the shower but there's not flour or sauce sticking to her hair or face anymore. Scarlett nods at Lizzie's words.

"The pizza should be ready in a few minutes, we can set the table and get everything ready." She suggests and Lizzie and I both nod. I hop off the counter when Scarlett steps away but before I can do anything else, she gives me a quick peck, that makes me smile like an idiot.

We set the table and just as the pizza is ready, Rose comes down in her pyjama. She claps when she sees the pizza and sits onto her chair.

We eat the pizza mostly in silence, except for hums at the taste.

When we're done, Rose helps us to carry everything into the kitchen before settling on the couch. Scarlett nods for Lizzie to join Rose while she and I put the dishes into the dishwasher.

Lizzie and Rose seem to discuss something and I smile at how adorable that is. When they seem finished, Rose gets up on her knees and looks back to Scarlett and me.

"We decided we'll watch Halloween town." Rose lets us in on their decision and Lizzie nods agreeingly. Scarlett gives them a thumbs up and I remember that Halloween is in ten days.

Wow, time went by pretty fast.

"Lizzie, do you want anything special to drink?" Scarlett asks and catches her attention from searching through a streaming server. Lizzie looks at Rose for a second before she answers.

"Just some water for now." She answers and Scarlett nods. Rose turns around now.

"Can I have juice, Mommy? Please? Because it's a special night?" Rose asks and Scar's features soften and she nods.

"Exceptionally but only one glass, or else you're gonna be up too long because of the sugar." She says and Rose grins happily.

Scarlett and I also decide on water and we bring the drinks over to the living room before getting comfortable on the couch as well. Lizzie starts the movie and Rose cuddles into her.

Seeing them like this is adorable and I watch them for a few seconds longer before I look at the TV. Scarlett leans against me and I wrap my arm around her, allowing her to cuddle more into me. I rest my head against hers and we watch the movie together. It's a calm night but it's perfect.

Even though Rose had juice, she seems pretty tired during the last few minutes of the movie and when it's over, she can barely keep her eyes open. Scarlett gets up and takes Rose with her upstairs to get her ready to sleep after Rose said good night to Lizzie and me.

We watch them go upstairs and turn off the TV.

Lizzie gets up and brings Rose's glass into the kitchen.

"Do you want some wine?" She asks and opens the fridge. I look at her a little confused and she holds up two options.

"I can't read what the bottles say from the distance." I laugh and Lizzie shakes her head but chuckles.

"One is red, one is white." She explains with a little grin.

"I prefer red." I say and she nods and gets out three wine glasses before bringing everything over to the living room. Lizzie settles down next to me just as Scarlett walks in. She chuckles when she sees the wine and sits on my other side.

"You waited until Rose went to bed." She observes and Lizzie nods with a grin. Scarlett shakes her head with a smirk and leans forward to open the bottle.

"I'll only take a bit, I have to get home later and don't want to be too tipsy in the subway." I say after the bottle is open. Scarlett pouts a little and looks at me.

"Can't you stay over?" She half asks and half suggests. I think about it for a second and nod, it's Friday, so I don't have to work tomorrow.

A smile grows on her lips and she gives me a kiss on the cheek.

"Great." And with that she leans forward again and pours all of us a glass of wine. Lizzie watched our interaction with a smile and takes her glass from Scarlett.

"To having a girls night in." Scarlett raises her glass. Lizzie and I raise our glasses as well.

"To having a girls night in." We repeat and clink our glasses before taking a sip. The wine tastes really good and I lean back with the wine glass in my hand.

"So, how long are you two together now?" Lizzie asks and looks between us.

"Six days." Scarlett answers without having to think about it. Her quick answer makes Lizzie and me grin a little and I look at Scarlett with a smile. She doesn't seem embarrassed or anything because of her quick answer. It's cute that she seems to know the days by heart.

"Who asked who?" Lizzie asks further and leans back on the couch while sipping some wine.

"She asked me." I answer and smile at the memory, feeling butterflies starting to swirl around in my stomach. Scar nods in agreement and Lizzie looks between us, an adoring look on her face.

"It was only a matter of time when I was gonna ask her." Scarlett admits and I look at her in surprise.
