《Avalei Cullen (A Twilight Saga Fanfic)》Ch 8: 3 months

I was over at Bella's today, just sitting on her bed doing homework as Bella stares out into the window again. Then I had a vision...
"No. We promised Edward." Dad said sternly. They were all in the living room, scattered around it.
"But Avalei is having a hard time getting to her. Bella won't do well without all of us. I get flashes of her but they're unclear." Alice claimed.
"Forget her. Lets drag Edward home." Rosalie scoffed.
"He'll come back when he's ready. After Bella moves on." Mom stated.
"Yes, when she's living her life, safe from danger-" Dad started but Jasper interrupted, "You mean safe from us."
"When will that be? Why'd we leave Avalei if we wanted Bella to be safe from our world?" Rosalie argued in.
"You know why we left her Rose. We know how much you care about her and we do too but she is okay." Mom defended.
"Can you see him Alice?" Emmett changed the subject asking about Edward. Alice stared off into space.
"The only decision's he's made...is to be alone." Alice finished.
I slept over at Bella's last night and we were just about to head to school when I heard Charlie talking to one of their neighbors outside. Something about bikes and bears, though Charlie ignored the subject.
Bella and I got out of the house and headed towards her truck when Bob, the guy Charlie was talking to greeted us, "Hey Avalei. How you doing Bella?" I waved kindly but Bella just ignored him and went to her side of the truck.
I got in and strapped my seat belt when I heard Charlie stop Bella, "That's it." I know where this is going.
"That's what?" Bella asked.

"You're going to Jacksonville to live with your mother." Charlie stated.
"What? Why?"
"I just- don't know what to do anymore. You act like someone left you, more like someone died. I mean, even Avalei has been here almost everyday but you're still the same." You're not wrong there Charlie.
Bella looked back at me then turned towards her dad again, "I'm not leaving Forks."
Charlie sighed, "He's not coming back Bells." Ouch. That even hurt me.
"Its not normal this behavior of yours and frankly, its scaring the hell outta me and your mother. Go to Jacksonville baby. Make some new friends." I looked up, somewhat offended. Okay, I'm right here Charlie.
"I like my old friends." Bella defended.
"Besides Avalei, you don't see them anymore." Charlie argued. True.
"I do too. In fact I'm-um, Jessica and I are going to Port Angeles tomorrow. Shopping." Bella defended. Lies.
Charlie looked at her suspiciously, then tilted his head to look in the car, "Is this true? Is she going tomorrow?" Charlie asked me. Great, I'm going to have to lie to save Bella's butt...well it's not like its the first time lying about something.
I saw Bella slightly nod her head giving me a signal to lie, "Yeah its true. I was invited but I'm doing some household chores tomorrow." I stated.
"But you hate shopping" Charlie turned back to Bella.
"That's how good a friend I am." Bella replied.
"Alright then." Charlie then left and Bella finally got in the car. Once Charlie was secured in the house, I gave Bella her phone, smirking "I'm guessing you should call Jessica to tell her about the plans you two have tomorrow."
Bella sighed then grabbed the phone thanking me before dialing Jessica's number.

I somewhat lied about what I said to Charlie, the next day, I was grabbing some things at my house but then I'd be out hunting tonight. I had to let Sam know beforehand.
The next day, I let Sam know I was going out hunting and Bella had her last minute hangout with Jessica. It was night time, I was just about done finishing off an elk when I had a vision.
"Bella!" Jessica yelled from behind, Bella was on a motorcycle with some biker dude, going extremely fast.
"Stop-stop-stop!!" Bella then shouted as the bike stopped. She got off and headed towards Jessica again.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Jessica said frantically.
"I thought- I saw something." Bella stuttered looking back a bit.
"You are insane. Or suicidal." Jessica commented.
"The more dangerous...the more real it was." Bella mumbled.
"So what? You're like an adrenaline junky now?" Jessica finished.
I sighed, "Oh Bella. You sure are prone to danger. Even without vampires around." I'll have to talk to her about that later. I then raced back to my house to clean up and rest before I head over to the rez tomorrow.
We were in a clearing in the woods next to the stream, Paul and Sam were sparring a bit in their wolf forms, Jared was out doing patrols, and I played with my elemental power.
I just made a tiny tornado out of my hand and added fire to it. Jared then came running in to join us. I stopped the fire tornado with a wave of my other hand and levitated some water from the stream to put it out.
I then went over to Jared to pet him. I tend to do that because since I haven't phase yet, though, not much to Sam since you know, he's alpha and though I've always wanted a pet, they're the closest things to my own personal dogs. Though, this is my normal greeting whenever they're in their wolf forms.
"Hey Jared, any news?" He nodded his big wolf head no.
"Bella and motorbikes? What has that girl been thinking?" I said mainly to myself.
Jared finished.
"He does know that she's 18 right? And he's like what, my age? And besides, who knows if my brother will-" I started but Sam interrupted, I looked at him kind of insulted and sort of hurt.
Paul teased.
I scoffed, "Me? Crush on him? Please. I haven't even spoken a word to that boy and I already know he doesn't like me. I've read his mind before, he sees me as what I am, a Cullen. Nothing more and nothing less." I somewhat lied, because again, I haven't really met the guy properly so I shouldn't be fast to judge.
Jared added. Yeah, who knows what could happen.
"Yeah, or he'll probably hate me even more. Either way, we won't know about anything unless one of us imprints first." I stated. "Enough of this lovey stuff, I'll race you back to the house?" They nodded and we were off.
