《The Retribution Contract》10.

Jungkook was in the meeting room with his hyungs and friends. All the gang members were discussing about what they were suppose to do with 'The Rex'. It was a mafia gang that had attacked their warehouse a week ago. Asmodeus or should I say Jungkook had always had a policy of destroying any threat before it grew too big. But today his mind was somewhere else.
Taehyung had gone to the hospital for a check up. Even though it should not concern him yet his heart was with the other. He wanted to know the results as soon as possible. When the uneasiness got too much for him to handle he suddenly got up and excused himself for some time. Going right into his office he dialled the doctor's number.
"Hello! Mr. Jeon." a voice came from the other side.
"I've not called you to make any small talks Hyunsik. Tell me about the results quickly." Jungkook spat out coldly and heard a sigh in return.
"Don't worry. He just overworked himself." Hyunsik informed. Hearing the words Jungkook's heart immediately settled at peace. He hung up the call and sighed in relief unknowingly.
Finally gaining back his composure he went to the meeting room again. "We'll attack those bastards today. Can't let them think that they scared us." he said while taking his seat. The others nodded their heads totally agreeing to the leader.
"So when do we attack?" Yoongi asked curiously. "Let's attack right now. The sooner the better. Everyone attacks at night hyung. Let's be among the few ones who aren't scared to attack during the day. We'll have to show them Asmodeus' power." Jungkook said smirking. Everyone might be thinking that he was now determined to take down his enemy. But in reality it was just a vent for him to take out all the feelings he had been having these past few days. It was just a way to take his mind off his thoughts. The thoughts of his ethereal husband.

Taehyung was currently sitting near the window in his room. Everything that Ji-ung had revealed today had surprised him to the core. As a child he never understood why his father was always so controlling. When his mother had died he wanted nothing more than some warmth and affection from his father. But sadly the cruel man became more controlling and abusive instead. Now that he knew the reason he felt disgusted. The man who was suppose to protect and love him was stooping so low in his actions just for a mere company. He suddenly remembers the conversation he had with Ji-ung a few hours ago.
Ji-ung was now driving Taehyung back to the Jeon mansion. He would look at Taehyung every now and then just to make sure that he was alright. "Hyung I'll hand over the company to him." Taehyung said out of nowhere.
The car came to a screeching hault. "Are you mad Tae? Why would you even think that?" Ji-ung looked at him with his eyes wide open. "He's after the company hyung. If he gets that then he'll leave Jungkook and the others alone. Even we'll come out of his clutches." Taehyung explained.
Ji-ung just scoffed hearing that. "Do you really think that? If you do then you are so wrong Tae. That man will never leave us all alone. What if he kills you? What if he goes after Jungkook then? Trust me when I say this but he will never be satisfied with just the company. Taking down every possible threat is something he loves doing Tae. So let's not be impulsive. Hmm."
Taehyung knew that whatever the boy said was actually true. His father was the most cruel man when it came to money and power. Gulping the lump in his throat he said. "T..then what should w...we do hyung?"

"For now let's pretend to not know anything. We can't afford to let him know the fact that we both know the actual truth. Tae. I have a feeling that we can use this as a card against him in the future. So, let's be calm for the time being. Ok." Ji-ung said softly trying to make the other understand.
Taehyung just nodded his head. He didn't know what was happening in his life anymore. Maybe things would turn out to be good in the end. He didn't know. It all depended on what the future held for him and Jungkook.
Taehyung sighed thinking about the entire day. His condition. The company. So many things had been revealed to him today. What an eventful day. He thought to himself and stood up to go and fetch himself something to eat. Coming out in the parlour he saw Pildo sitting on the couch with his wheelchair beside him.
Yes! Jungkook's father was crippled. Three bullets right in his knee caps that day had taken way all the sensations from his legs. Looking at the old man Taehyung always felt like crying. He used to be such a healthy man. A good body and physique. Something Jungkook had inherited from him. But because of his father Pildo had to lose so much.
Taking small cautious steps towards the man Taehyung called out gently. "Dad? Do you need something?" Pildo looked up from the book he was reading and smiled a little. "No. I'm fine. Go and do whatever you were doing." he said politely.
"I'm sorry for everything dad. I'm so sorry." Taehyung said looking right into the old man's eyes. Pildo sighed hearing him. "It's okay. I forgive you. You were just supporting your father. I can't blame you for that. Now go. Let me read." Hearing the words Taehyung just nodded. He was crying already not being able to control his tears. He turned around to leave but stopped when he heard Pildo's voice again.
"I forgave you but that doesn't mean that I accepted you. You'll always be a betrayer for me. I'll never be able to trust you again."
