Taehyung smiled remembering that beautiful night. It was one of those countless times when Jungkook had made him the happiest person on earth. It was one of those countless times when love had become eternal for him. It was one of those countless times that had made him wish to live for eternity with the boy he loved so much.
But his thoughts were all of a sudden interrupted by the loud bang of the door opening. He turned around getting startled only to find the ravenette looking at him with his burning gaze. "DO YOU NOT GET THE MEANING OF ONE HOUR?" he shouted at the top of his lungs scaring the petite boy to the core. Taehyung timidly looked up at the clock and surprisingly it was already 8:30 am.
When did this happen? Was I busy thinking for so long? He thought to himself. The boy gulped and was about to apologise but before he could do anything he was harshly grabbed by his wrist. His husband then started pulling him to god knows where while he did everything in his power to soften the hold on his wrist.
"K...Kook you're hurting me. P..P...Please!" he said stumbling up the stairs behind his husband but got no response in return. It was as if his words didn't even matter. He was wordlessly dragged into a lavish room where all the others were already present.
Once they were inside the room Jungkook let go of his wrist and walked towards what seemed like his office table. He took his seat and then eyed Taehyung up and down.
He looked so beautiful. An ethereal being who had caused nothing but destruction in his life. But what if the things were different? Jungkook couldn't help but think. Maybe he would have scooped him in his arms, spun him around and told him how beautiful he was. Maybe he would have kissed him in the morning and then taken him to a beautiful place. Maybe they would have woken up in each other's arms feeling the bliss of love. But things don't always go according to your likings. Right?

Jungkook clenched his fists thinking about how their life could have been if Taehyung had not betrayed them. "Kim Taehyung." he scoffed and then looked at his mother. "Mom. Tell him whatever you want."
Han-na nodded her head and walked towards Taehyung with a glass of water. "Here. You can have some." she said standing right infront of the boy. Taehyung looked at her with his teary eyes and then extended his hand to take the glass from her. But before he could hold it the lady dropped the glass making it shatter into pieces. "Don't expect even a glass of water from anyone sitting in this room." she said gritting her teeth. "We all hate you. You are nothing to us. NOTHING."
Taehyung looked down again not being able to see the hatred in her eyes. He eyed the shattered pieces of glass instead. Does my heart look like that? He thought to himself. Taehyung had always thought that no one could hate him more than he himself but now he could see that there were people who abhorred him. People who once had given him love. I deserve it. She is right. I am nothing. These thoughts were swirling in his head when he heard Jungkook's voice.
"You're going to do every f*cking chore in this house. Cooking, cleaning whatever there is. You're going to be our personal maid." Jungkook got up and walked towards the boy. He held him firmly by his arms and forced him to look up. "Follow everything they say. If you try to disobey them then you'll see a version of me that no one has seen before." he said whispering each and every word with anger.
Taehyung just nodded his head as tears finally started flowing from his eyes. "Clean up this mess." he heard Jungkook say and then all of them left one by one. Once there was no one around Taehyung sat down and started picking up the glass pieces. He took his time picking up each and every piece of glass as if it was his own heart.

Han-Gyoel was sitting in his office looking at the contract he had signed with the leader of Asmodeus. Jeon Jungkook. He scoffed at the thought. Although the man appeared to be nonchalant about the entire incident but in reality his insides were burning.
The boy whom he had destroyed two years ago suddenly came infront of him as the successful mafia boss who was even more powerful than he himself. It did not sit right with him. He so badly wanted to kill all of them this time but his situation was not favourable. Asmodeus had destroyed almost half of his properties so at present he did not have means to furnish his plans.
"Dad what have you been thinking?" Kim Ki-joon, his son from his second wife asked. He looked up and smiled. "Son! When did you come in?" "I've been standing here for about five minutes now. You seemed to be lost in your thoughts." Ki-joon came forward and sat infront of his father.
"I was thinking about Taehyung and that Jeon Jungkook." Han-Gyoel said and looked at his son. "Dad will it be ok? Taehyung I mean." Ki-joon sounded sceptical. "You know that we can't lose that pathetic brother of mine right now. Until he..... " "Of course Joon. We'll definitely get that useless boy back but right now we have to focus on gaining back our power. Then we can attack Jeon and bring Taehyung back."
"So you already have a plan right?" Ki-joon asked his father hopefully. The old man smirked at that and nodded his head. He sat back on his chair and took out his gun from the cabinet. Spinning it casually between his fingers he said....
"I'm going to destroy that boy again. Soon. Very soon."

Epoch: An NPC's Tale
Epoch is a slow-burn LitRPG/Gamelit novel that tells the story of Luke, later named Lucius—a natural inhabitant of the game-like realm of Elyssia where thousands upon thousands of detached, virtually unkillable entities known as the Players were suddenly introduced right after the dusk of the magnificent Age of Heroes. Shortly after the Players arrived, the balance of power in Elyssia instantly shifted. Kingdoms fell, wars were waged, alliances between races were made, and Lucius, after ten years of training in captivity, found himself being used as a pawn in a prophecy that he had no intention to fulfill. With aspirations and desires of his own, Lucius must find a way to cautiously adapt to the drastic changes in the very foundations of the realm after being sent 300 years into a future that was forever altered by the outcome of the war that his captors had lost and the Players won in a victory that resounded throughout the ages, all for a terrible price. Author's Note As an avid fan of the LitRPG genre myself, I wrote this novel with character progression, heavy Gamelit elements, and some degree of world-building in mind. If you like these, please feel free to give this novel a try. Oh, and the MC is also an NPC, in a sense. And wait, isn't this also an isekai story? Well, it's all a bit complicated to explain here. Maybe you should start reading now?
