Narrator's POV
The war between the Order of the Phoenix and the Death Eaters raged on.
Battle after battle and raid after raid left each sides furious at the other.
Even with four out of eight of their generals down and half as many members, the Order was still holding off against the Death Eaters.
Dumbledore could commonly be found pacing in his office at Hogwarts trying to figure out how to defeat the Dark Lord and his Queen, often leaving his headmaster responsibilities to Professor McGonagall —who was a grey witch.
The Ministry of Magic still chose to remain officially neutral, but most of its employees had chosen a side —more often the not, the Death Eaters, and why wouldn't they?

The Dark Lord was fighting to keep their world safe from Muggles while Dumbledore wanted to let them in.
Lord Voldemort wanted to give every magical creature the same rights as witches and wizards while Dumbledore wanted the opposite.
The Dark Lord wanted to make all magic legal while Dumbledore wanted to make almost all of it illegal.
Lord Voldemort wanted to protect their ancient culture while Dumbledore wanted to destroy it to make room the culture of the Muggles'.

Currently, the Death Eaters were at a meeting trying to figure out how to end the war once and for all.
The Dark Lord's followers tossed around possible ideas to do so.
"Many from the Order will be at the Qudditch World Cup that's coming up, maybe if-" One Outer Circle member suggested before being interrupted
"Yes, but citizens will be there. If they get caught in the crossfire then the Ministry will join Dumbledore and we'll be hopelessly outnumbered." Another member critiqued, and others mummers in agreement
The Queen sat quietly, but his mind was anything but.
Hadrian absorbed the suggestions being thrown, while simultaneously nursing one of his own.
"I have an idea," The Queen said, causing instant silence "our side goes quiet —for two or three years maybe— make the Light think inner fighting got to us. While we're quiet, the Light's guard will go down, and when it does, we strike back. Hard."
"Brilliant." Several Death Eaters whispered
"What will we do in the silence, my Queen." A Death Eater asked
"Nothing. There will be no raids, no battles, let the Order believe the lie. Scowl at other Death Eaters in public, let them truly think fighting dissolved us. Go to work, go on vacations, reconnect with your families, anything. Just act like the Dark is no more." Hadrian answered

Another asked, "How will we know if Dumbledore believes it?"
"We have our spies." The Queen answered "Everything depends on you, Severus, fashion a believable story to the Order. Convince them."
"Albus does always say that we will be our own undoing." Severus muttered
"Good." Hadrian replied "Make him think that's what happened."
"Is the Queen's idea the one we will go with, my Lord?" Severus asked Tom, who was tapping at his throne
"Yes, it will work. As long as everything goes to plan." Lord Voldemort answered, running his fingers through Hadrian's Black hair

After the meeting, Severus went directly to the Burrow —the Order's new headquarters since both Grummuld Place and the Potter properties belonged to the Dark.
Molly and Arthur scowled at him, but Dumbledore greeted the potions master.
"Severus, my boy, what news do you have?" Dumbledore asked
"Great news, Albus, the Death Eaters has disbanded, because Voldemort and Harry have left the country. Everything is gone, they have no proficient leadership now and they have started fighting amongst themselves, we've won." Severus told them
The remaining Order members cheered, and began to celebrate.
Albus Dumbledore couldn't believe his luck, he had always said that they would lead to their own destruction, but he had never imagined like this, but who was he to complain?
Now, he just needed the Ministry to pass his laws...

Myth Of Men
Gaming isn't a way of life. With reality reduced to rubble and ash after a nuclear war, these fictional worlds of entertainment now serve as reality to many survivors. And, amidst all the addicts and try-hards, one person rises to the top with ease. Known as Hiiro, Henry Johnson is infamous for quickly dominating every game that hits the market, and departing from them even more quickly. It's no surprise when he's offered a chance to beta the world's first VRMMORPg: The Myth of Men. But is there something sinister hidden underneath the facade of what promises to be a fun game? Please note: the below is true, but due to my continued haitus, it's on the failed pledge list as of now with my other series. This fiction is signed under the 'The Pledge'... Some internet message in a forum about not dropping or giving a rushed ending in their fiction, otherwise meet the wrath of letting RRL mod Vocaloid have 'fun' with the fiction's description. So mainly for the sake of my fiction due to said wrath, I'll see this fiction through. Credit for winRoot for doing my commissions. Mature language: 15+... If you ignore this it's your choice, not mine. Enjoy~

The Card Thief of Culnivar
Deep with the cozy kingdom of Daeton, among the generation-old farmlands and villages, a young farmer’s daughter stumbles upon a dead man. His elaborate clothing has been torn to ribbons, yet his skin remains unblemished. His face is peaceful, and tucked into the hand lying across his chest can be seen a solitary playing card. He is a Ludum Haeres. The last remnant of a Summoner. Numbered among those few capable of changing their destinies. The unseen rulers of the world known as Vesperia, and one of the most powerful creatures in existence. The woman knows none of this. And so, she picks up the card... This is my third novel on Royal Road, the first being "Beyond the Horizon's Eye", and the second being "The Dawnfire Archives". This story is something of a test in a new genre, that of CardLIT. We'll see how well it succeeds as the story continues. It takes place in a different setting than my other tales, with an entirely new cast of characters. It does, however, contain several ties between the stories. Average post between 1000 - 3000 words.
