"Charlotte!" I yelled running up to my daughters room.

"I got your glass of water." I said out of breath.

"Thanks mama." She said smiling as I was panting.

"You okay?" I heard as Peyton kissed my lips as I nodded

"Hi mommy." Charlotte said kissing her cheek.

"You ready for your bed time story?" Peyton asked as she shook her head.

She puts up pause with her index and started to drink her water. After downing the entire thing and giving the glass back to me she got comfy in her twin bed.

"I'm ready." She said as Peyton laid in bed with her.

I laid at the end of the bed while Peyton read the book. It was a book about dinosaurs that Charlotte chose.

Soon enough Charlotte fell asleep while Peyton got up.

"I'm gonna go get a shower." She said kissing my cheek.

"Alright love." I said kissing her forehead.

"Goodnight Char." I whispered kissing her forehead and leaving cracking the door.

"Anna." I heard downstairs.

I went down and saw Peyton sitting on the couch.

"And I thought you were getting a shower?" I said sitting next to her.

"Jackson's out of his two year jail." She mumbled.

"Don't worry about it. He's not gonna come after her." I said hugging her.

"But what if he does. I don't want Charlotte to get hurt or be afraid." She said and I kissed her head.

"It's okay. Your just overthinking it. I promise she will be okay." I said as she straddled my lap.

"Are you sure?" She asked and I nodded.

"It's okay." I said pulling a hair behind her ear.

"Go get your shower and I'll keep checking it on her tonight." I said and she nodded.

"Morning Mommy!" Charlotte said has Peyton kissed her cheek.

"Morning mama boon." She said as I smiled giving her some eggs and bacon.

"Hi sweetie." I said.

"You ready for Pre-K today?" I asked her and she nodded.

"Anna you wanna take her to school or me?" Peyton asked as I nodded.

"Yeah I'll take her today." I said cooking Peyton's eggs.

"Hey Char will you feed Pluto for me?" I said and she said yes but I didn't hear the food being dug out.

"Char?" I spoke turning around to see her feeding Pluto with a piece of bacon.

"Char. I didn't mean that." I said laughing as I got the food out feeding Pluto.

Peyton came back out as she sat next to Charlotte. I smiled at their daughter mother bond as I gave Peyton her eggs.

The news came on as it was still talking about Jackson's release. I looked at Peyton as her leg started to bounce up and down really fast. I kissed the side of her head and turned it to Super Why for Charlotte.

"It's okay. Stop worrying alright?" I said and she nodded.

She used Charlotte as a distraction from Jackson's out break and when it was time to go she gave Charlotte a kiss and left for her work.

We both worked a job as she works for a receptionist at a hospital while studying to be a doctor. I owned a coffee shop downtown studying to be a veterinarian.

"Alright you ready?" I asked her and she nodded.

"Mama boon I'm scared though." She said tugging at my sleeve.

It reminded me how Peyton always used to do that so I smiled.

"Hey look at me. You'll be okay. Just make some new friends and don't be mean. And if they are mean to you tell a teacher or the only time you can be mean back." I said and she nodded.

"I love you." I said kissing her forehead.

"I love you too!" She yelled running towards the entrance.

I smiled and went back to my car to go to work.

"You guys see Jackson Cohen got out of jail for sexually assaulting multiple women?" My coworker said.

"Hey weren't your wife ex with him? I heard them say it on the tv." I said raising my eyebrow.

"Don't bring my wife into this alright. Stay in your business." I said going to the back.

I got a call from Peyton as I answered during my break.

"You alright?" I asked her.

"Anna he's in LA. He went to jail in LA and he's getting closer to our city." I heard her say as she panicked.

"I'll check in with the school. Don't worry about any of this. I promise your gonna be okay." I said.

"Anna what if he hurts her. I can't stand to let him get near her and do the same thing he did to me" she said with her breathing hyperventilating.

"Hey hey. Calm down. Deep breath love. You have nothing to worry about. She's coming home in less than an hour alright." I said and I felt her mumble to herself.

"You right your right. She's coming home in less than a hour. Can I pick her up? Please?" She said and I smiled.

"Sure. I'll meet you home?" I asked her.

"Yeah. Can you pick up some homophobic chicken." She asked and I laughed.

"Of course my love. I'll see you in an hour." I said as I started to pack and leave the coffee shops to my employees.

"Wait but what if that scary man comes back." Charlotte asked as Peyton looked at me.

"He won't come to our house. I promise bubba." I said and she nodded.

"I'm still scared though." She said and I heard Peyton sigh walking out of her room.

"Where's mommy going?" Charlotte asked and I shook my head no.

"It's okay. She's okay. Just go to sleep alright." I said kissing her forehead.

I shut her light off and turned on her nightlight on and cracked the door to see Peyton crying against the wall.

"Peyton... there's only a small chance he's coming to us. He's not gonna hurt us I promise he won't. Stop worrying." I said hugging her.

She wrapped her legs around my waist as I carried her down the stairs. I laid her in bed and grabbed a blanket turn the tv on.

"It's okay. I promise nothing to worry about." I said and she nodded.
