《Blood and Ink》Moving pictures: Part 2

"Found it!" Bendy called out.
Henry and Bendy were scavenging for the needed items to turn on The Ink Machine. They found two so far, three if you include the one Bendy found just now. Bendy went and placed it on the pedestal.
"Alright, I'll go get the ink bottle. It should be near the animations room." Henry said.
"Alright, I'll see if I can find anything around here," Bendy replied.
The two split up to look for other items. Bendy found the plush of himself. He looked around and saw where the last item was. The wrench lodged in Boris's chest.
"Frick," he said to himself.
He walked over to the corpse and looked at the wrench, feeling like he was going to puke, and who could honestly blame him? He grabbed the wrench with his index finger and thumb, trying to get out the wrench without touching the dry and sticky ink. Sadly, the ink was so stuck, he could get it out with just his fingers. He had to pull off the excess ink.
He reached his hand into the open chest. He felt the ink on his hands. It was sticky, dry and some of it was still slightly fresh. He felt like he would hurl at any moment as he pulled off most of the ink.
"God dammit, I hate this."
He finally was able to pull out the wrench, but once he did, some of the ink accidentally splattered on his hand.
"OH, WHAT THE HELL!?"
He ripped off his glove and stomped on it repeatedly, yelling almost every curse word in the book. He eventually stopped stomping on the glove and kicked it away and scraped his shoe across the ground. He took a deep breath.
"That. Was. Nasty," he said to himself, "dear God, I think it got on my arm too," he shivered and took the wrench.

Henry soon came back to see Bendy waiting for him.
"Hey Bendy, did you find any more items?" He asked.
"As a matter of fact, yes, I found the plush and the wrench."
"Where did you find it?" He asked, putting the ink bottle in its respective place.
"Five words: corpse in the other room." He replied, pointing his thumb to the nearby room with the Boris corpse.
"Oh...ew."
"Hey, I was the one who took it out. I should be the one saying ew."
"Well anyway, I think that's all of them. There should be a pressure switch somewhere, then I can start up the main power."
"Yeah, follow me. I think it's this way," Bendy said, leading the way.
They walked through the intersection of the rooms and towards the theater room. Bendy and Henry stayed quiet through the walk, trying to think of something to talk about, but ending up with nothing. They just rounded the corner and were about to head to the room when out of nowhere, a cardboard cutout of Bendy popped up and quickly disappeared, startling the both of them.
"Jeez, what the hell was that? Bendy, are you sure there's no-one else here?"
"Not that I'm aware of. Whatever was left from The Ink Machine usually stays on the lower levels underneath us."
Henry and Bendy began to get nervous, but Bendy was nervous for an entirely different reason. They entered the theater room and the projector turned on by itself, startling them again. Whistling came from the projector and Bendy noticed it immediately since it was his signature tune.
Henry turned on the ink pressure and then one of the pipes burst spraying ink onto the floor.
"Aww, dammit. Well, this is only a little bit, it shouldn't effect the machine that badly...I hope."
"Same."
They walked out of the room, but soon after, they heard thuds and clanging coming from the ceiling.

"I don't think the pipes are gonna holding for long. We better turn on the machine quickly," Henry said.
"Alright," Bendy said as they ran over to the main power switch. Henry pulled the lever and some of the lights disappeared, along with the items on the pedestals.
"Well, the machine should be on Henry."
"Let's go then."
They walked over to The Ink Machine room in silence, once again, not having a subject to talk about. They got to the room, only to find it boarded up.
"The heck?" Henry said as he inched closer.
Bendy looked like he was about to have a heart attack as he realized what would happen next.
"Henry, get back!"
Bendy pulled Henry by the shoulder, and just in the nick of time. Out of nowhere, a skeletal, lanky, black creature with a huge grin and ink covering most of its face reached out for Henry, but missed. The two fell flat on their backs before Bendy got up as fast as he could and picked up Henry.
"Come on, we got to get you out of here!"
The two sprinted for the exit, dodging whatever was in their way. They made it to the exit...
...or at least they thought they were going to.
Out of nowhere, the floorboards broke from underneath them. Bendy grabbed onto the wood and attempted to pull the two up but then looked behind him to see the creature running towards them. Then bad luck hit like a brick as some of the ink made his fingers slip off the wood, causing the both of them to take a big fall.
Henry hit the floor, back first and Bendy next, falling on Henry and punching the wind out of both of their stomachs.
"Ow, dammit all," Bendy groaned, rolling off Henry. Henry then got up, holding his stomach from the pain and looking up.
"Well, no way out through there. Well have to find another way out."
"There is no "other way out" Henry. That's the only exit, or at least it WAS the only exit." Bendy said frustrated.
"Bendy, who was that?" Henry asked, causing Bendy to become slightly nervous.
"I'm not the original Bendy, Henry. The first one didn't come out perfect. The machine accidentally spitted me out the same time as the other bendy did, it just took me longer to take shape. I was just a mistake."
Henry put a hand on his shoulder, "you're worth more than just money or popularity. That machine gave you life and I care for you and all my creations, wherever they are. You're not a mistake to me."
Bendy smiled from the reassurance.
"Thanks Henry, I guess I needed that."
They looked around to see only one way. Down. They sighed.
"Well, I'm pretty sure there's a way back upstairs through that way. Let's go, I guess."
They pressed forward, getting through most of the ink flooded stairs until they came upon a near empty room, save a few boards, a table, and-
"An axe? Why would this be here?"
"Hey, don't me pal," Bendy answered, making the two laugh at the terrible pun.
"Well, either way, this will definitely come in handy."
Henry then chopped the boards that were blocking the way until they found a door. Once they opened it, a pentagram was right there in the center of the room. Bendy stood away but Henry couldn't help but look at it. Henry unconsciously walked up to the pentagram and held his hand up towards it. Bendy then reached out.
"Henry don't do it!-"
But it was too late. Henry's mind then flashed with images before passing out he saw bendy run up to him.
"Henry!"

I originally started this novel on another account, but lost the login information for it, so I'll be restarting this story here. Thanks for understanding! This is my first fiction, so I appreciate any and all feedback! (^^) The cover picture is by Yuji Himukai (as pointed out by Truis). I found it on the internet. Please contact me if you want to have it taken down. If anyone is interested in drawing a cover, send it to me. I'll put it up if I feel it represents the book well, with your name in the credits.

Force Majeure: A web novel
In the Qursan Empire, the grey walls of the city press down on its subjects. It is a highly divided society which is based on the magical strength of its citizens. While the most powerful are trained as Mages, the majority of citizens use their limited skills with essence to power the city in their assigned jobs. Jano is pretty much the lowest of the low in the Qursan Empire. A Class Ten citizen forced into transitory work after having his power restricted. When he gets the opportunity to change all of that, he takes it with both hands. Please note this is an edited version of my story ‘city of captives’. It follows a similar structure but I’ve ironed out some of the kinks. If you read that version, much of this will be similar though there are some differences. This is a slow burning progression fantasy. Please expect at least two chapters per week. I love writing this story but I do have unfortunate things to deal with like work and life outside of writing. I may be able to write and edit more than that, but it will never be less!
