《RotTMNT Oneshots and Headcanons》I like you || Donnie

"Hello, beautiful." Your face grew hot but returned Donnie's greeting with a wave. His lips quirked up in a smile before returning to his phone. Your face remained warm as you headed to Raph.
-
Entering the lab you see the genius busy with whatever project he was currently working on. You leaned on an empty table and wait for him to finish. While you did so, you really tried to look at his blueprints, his inventions, or anywhere really to avoid admiring him. But it was hard.
His eyebrows were furrowed in concentration, beads of sweat were evident on his face. His tongue stuck out too as he carefully moved a small object in the machine. His goggles were over his eyes but you know they were squinted in concentration. His body leaned on the table and scattered scraps of tech layers on the table.
"Take a picture, it'll last longer." You blinked and realized you were staring, again. You averted your eyes and your face suddenly felt hot.
"Sorry," You stammered out. He chuckled at your look before pushing his goggles back on top of his head still looking at you.
"Did you need anything?" He asked, walking over to you. You snapped out of your trance and realize he was close now. Oh god.
"The, uh, the p-pizza is...here." Your voice grew higher as you spoke and you didn't even see the amusement and adoration he was giving you (that's a shame).
"Well, I do have something I'm working on, so I am quite busy..." He trailed off and looked far off with a pout on his face. Why is he so cute?!
"O-oh! You don't have to get one right now especially when you're busy--even if you've been in here for a long time now--but I just wanted to let you know, yeah." You pursed your lips together and cleared your throat. You noticed the growing smile on Donnie's face and he almost looks like a Cheshire Cat from all the smiling he's doing.
"Has anyone ever told you that you look adorable? And thank you for your concern over my wellbeing." Your face grew hotter.
-
You were holding a package when you entered the lair. The three brothers greeted you but there was no sign of Donnie. You asked and got some looks as if they know of your "little" crush on him. Raph was kind enough to tell you he was in his lab.

"Hey, Donnie?" You entered the lab to see him writing on something. He looked up and gave you a smile.
"Ah, the beautiful maiden has finally arrived." You gave him a smile as your face grew hot again and walked over to where he sat and put the box out in front of you. He raised an eyebrow in question glancing at the box.
"Open it. I think you'll like it." You were bouncing on your feet and he noticed. He opened the gift acting calmly while doing so but that was thrown out of the window once he saw the purple fabric. With a dramatic gasp, he pulled it out and it billowed, the fabric shined under the lighting and the silky feeling made him realized it was a satin jacket. Stars were practically in his eyes when he immediately wore it swiftly after taking his battle shell off.
"Do I look fantastic? I feel fantastic." You only responded with a giggle at his dramatic actions. He unexpectedly gave you a hug and a kiss on the cheek, making you freeze in shock.
"(Y/N)? (Y/N)? Oh no, I broke her."

You let out a groan before you landed your forehead on your desk, dropping your pencil as you did so. At this moment, you hate school and you hope it burns to the ground. You let out another frustrated groan when you heard the pencil roll off and down to the floor. You stayed like that for a bit while you try to calm down but the stress is getting to you. Your grades are getting visibly lower and it's becoming a concern. You asked for some extra credit and try to finish all your homework on time. While some were easy and you can get through them, others were feeling like pure torture, especially your science homework. You asked for extra credit in that class and now you need to do a paper full of detailed research on the uses of each element, compounds, and chemicals. And it had to be five pages at the minimum to reach the full score but he added that if you are able to make it over ten pages, he'll double the points and it needed to be cited properly too.
Just thinking about the paper made you feel overwhelmed again. You took a deep breath and let it out. How were you going to finish this?! You look at the worksheet in front of you and sighed, picking your pencil off the floor and continued.

"I can't do it." You whimpered out. You finished everything else but you science paper and honestly, you were tired. You felt like crying now and you hate it. You leaned back and just sat there, limply. You knew you couldn't do this by yourself but who was going to help?
"Donnie!" You realized, sitting upright with your eyes wide. Of course, Donnie could help you! He's smart when it comes to science, well medical is a bit questionable but still! He knows chemicals and this should be a breeze for him. You grabbed your phone and went to the contact list. Just as you were about to call him, you paused. What if he's busy? He does hate it when someone interrupts his work and while he never said that to you and always let you stay in the lab, you didn't want to be a bother. And besides, it's late.
The sounds of knocking on your window caught your attention. You twisted around to see the same turtle you were just about to call. What a coincidence. You know your face grew hot when you saw him but you try to ignore it as you walked over to unlock your window. Once you opened it, he lets himself in.
"What are you doing here?" You asked after you close the window.
"I sensed a damsel in distress and have come to help." Donnie declared while starting to walk over to your desk with you just standing there blinking owlishly. You're quite sure that was not the reason he was here. You blinked again and followed behind while grabbing an extra chair you conveniently have.
He took the seat and sat down with the back of the chair in front of him rather than behind. He seemed to sit like that often. You took your seat and just sat there stiffly. Honestly, you were still confused. Why was he here? You never called him and you had just seen him earlier.
"Donnie," You interrupted his ranting that you didn't even realize he was doing. "Why are you here? Why the surprise visit?"
He only looked at you with a blank look on his face but his eyes said differently. He seemed nervous and was contemplating what to say. You remained patient but you admit, the silence was eating you up.
"I came here to confess." He said, finally. You just blinked at him a bit confused.
"But...it was obvious you like me? Or am I assuming wrong?" You tilt your head to one as you look at him. You figured he liked you from the amount of affection he shows towards you and it didn't help that Mikey told you.
"Wait, what? Why didn't you do anything then?!" He asked exasperatedly. If you knew he likes you, then why didn't you say anything?
"Have you met me? I'm shy, of course, I wasn't gonna say anything."
"It would have been so much easier if you did. Although, you are correct. You are really shy and I'm surprised you haven't frozen right about now." He said placing a finger under his chin. He shrugged and said: "Oh, well no matter. My only question is, do you like me?"
"I-uh-I..." Your face grew hot yet again as you look anywhere but his gaze. "Y-yes, I like you. I really like you."
"Now that is out of the way, may I take you on a date sometime this weekend?" He said as he looked at his gadget on his wrist (I have no idea what it is called).
"Yeah. Um, can you help me with this?" You gestured to the paper in front of you a bit awkwardly. "Since you're already here..."
All of Donnie's brothers are always dumbfounded when their brother show any kind of affection, especially to you. Even if you guys have been dating for quite some time now, their jaws always drop. One time he actually twirled you around and smash his lip on to yours, leaving you a blushing mess and him smirking as he leaves. They were all shocked and that was the way they even figured out you were dating.
April was chill and just claimed to be the reason why Donnie confessed to you. They really tried to ask how did she do it but all she gave them was a smirk.
Now Donnie just flirts and shows his love left and right and honestly, everyone's confused by it. Well, except for April and eventually you. Either way, you still blush when he shows his affection.

Tales of Ordinary, Completely Unremarkable Contractors
"Where life had no value, death, sometimes, had its price. That is why the mercenaries appeared." - Artur Xerxes, in A Century of Disappointment: Memoirs of a Travelling Dwarf It's never too difficult to land contracts for a set very specialised skills in a continent teeming with werewolves, vampires, giant leopards, undead and, god forbid, elves. The difficulty comes when these contractors find themselves suffocated in the dense atmosphere of this world's rigid - and mostly unfair - rules; death, suffering and misfortune await those unwilling to sacrifice to bend these in their favour. In this non-linear plot, you will observe a scarred and deformed farm girl cashing her first bounty posters, a seemingly ordinary barmaid at a tavern in the bustling centre of a sprawling, corrupt city and an enigmatic leader of a firm specialising in dealings any other would consider suicidal. Watch them all take everything to the next level at every available opportunity, and then feel dread at the thought that this still might not be enough to halt the physical embodiment of doom about to do what it does best Please, feel free to review and comment! Any sort of feedback can help me become a better writer and write more engaging stories for you. I used to update once every 3-5 days, but this rewrite is taking much too long...I do hope it will be worth it.
