"Leo!" Donnie stomped out the lab and looked around before landing his eyes of the turtle. The red-eared slider looks up from his comic to see his fuming brother.
"What is it, bro?"
"Where is my hoodie?" Leo looked at him, confused.
"I don't know," Leo answered, eventually.
"Oh no, do not give that stupid innocent look of yours. You are the only one who could have done it." Donnie pointed an accusing finger at him.
"Why me? I've been sitting here the whole time, you probably misplaced it." Leo gave him an amused look as his brother continued to fume as he went to his room muttering to himself. After a few minutes, there was a giggle.
"You took it didn't you?" Leo looked behind him to see you, a young child dwarfed from the large purple hoodie they wore. They giggled and ran towards him. They crawled to his lap and put the hood up to cover their head.
"You are one sneaky little kid, you know that?"
"I learn from the best!" You answered, giving him a goofy smile.
"We never even taught you anything about being sneaky," Leo said, a bit confused. He pulled up him comic again and you both read.
"That's because you guys suck at sneaking." You answered bluntly.
"Ouch. You hang out with Donnie way too much." He chuckled, flipping to the next page.
"He lets me help him and teaches me cool stuff. He's awesome. Hey! Put the page back, I'm not done."
"I thought I was awesome? And you are a slow reader." He playfully groaned before turning back a page.
"No, you're the gorgeous one. Don Don is the awesome one. And I like the pictures, I wanna keep looking." You answered while looking at the pictures closely.
"I'll take the compliment. Oh, I think someone's coming back to hunt down the jacket." You gasped, jumping out of his lap you ran somewhere while trying to make sure you didn't make the hoodie dirty. You know how much he likes it.
"It's not here." Donnie stayed, pulling the purple curtain open to glare at his brother. Leo continued to read the comic and acted as casual as possible.

"Well, I mean have you asked the others if they've seen it?"
"You said something intelligent, I'm surprised." He heard a small 'hey' but continued to the kitchen to hopefully find Mikey.
"Mikey!"
"What?!" The box turtle yelled out before he took a bite on his pizza. Donnie entered the kitchen and glared at him suspiciously, which made him confused. The purple masked genius pointed an accusing finger at his brother.
"Did you take my hoodie?" He demanded. Mikey scrunched his face in confusion and just shook his head as he chewed. Donnie marched away, rather dramatically, to find the oldest brother. Once he found him, he witnessed him chuckling while looking somewhere. He must have it but why? It wouldn't even fit him! Unless it was to mess with him. He stood in front of Raph who tensed up quickly while trying to look as innocent as possible.
"Donnie! Hey bro." He bit his lips and he was starting to sweat. Donnie has finally found the culprit. He demanded for his hoodie but his brother tried to tell him he doesn't have it. After a few minutes of arguing, Donnie growled.
"If you don't have it, who would have it then? Hm?" The intelligent turtle raised a brow in question or suspicion with his hands placed on his hips.
"I-uh-I dunno..."
"Raph, you are a terrible liar."
"I swear it's not me. It's a, uh, a ghost!" The snapping turtle's eyes drifted to look behind Donnie but quickly looked back but he noticed. He turned around just in time to his hoodie running away? Was his brother right? Was it truly a ghost or was it something else? Donnie ran after it leaving his brother holding a laugh with tears ready to spill. Once he disappeared, Raph let out a laugh. This was too hilarious!
...
You quickly turned a corner trying not to look behind you. The running footsteps and shouts could be heard behind you and you contain a giggle. You continued to run with the fabric clutched in your tiny fingers. You turned one last corner and hid. You heard him hiss to himself and the words you've heard were bad. Someone has a potty mouth. You thought while giggling quietly.

You heard footsteps disappear, the opposite of your hiding spot. You look around the sewers and once you deemed it safe enough, you started to run back to the lair. It was a good thing you had left small marks to lead you back and you need to thank the brothers again for that. When you came back no one was there and you started to yawn. All the running and hiding has gotten you tired. You padded to the purple curtain and entered the room. You then crawled up the bed and curled up with your eyes drooping closed. You pulled the hood to hide your eyes so you could sleep easier from the dim lights. You then let yourself take a nap.
...
Donnie had given up and gone to his room to wallow in the misery of the loss of his hoodie. Pulling the curtain open, he stopped and did a double check. His hoodie was right on his bed and there was someone wearing it. He walked quietly and pulled the hoodie off their face and his eyes softened at the scene. It was you, sleeping contently in his hoodie. Your eyes fluttered open and you yawned.
"I made sure it didn't get dirty." You said quietly, your eyes drooping ready to go back to sleep. He did, in fact, notice that the hoodie was not dirty and he appreciated that. He placed his arms under your small legs and your back to moved you to have your head on the pillow.
"You could have just asked for the hoodie, you know," Donnie said, looking confused while he sat on the bed.
"Yeah but..." You trailed off before you looked at him with worry. "I had to find a way to get you out of your lab. You were there for more than two days, at least that's what Mikey told me."
"You could have said that."
"You wouldn't have listened though, I tried before." The confusion Donnie held was swept away once he realized. You really did try to get his attention, to distract him but he brushed you off multiple times. He was supposed to be taking care of you especially after you lost your parents but instead you went out of your way to take care of him. He knows he has a tendency to forget about his health when he was busy working on a project but he wanted to set a good example for you. You look up to him and he has done what he can to make sure you were healthy. But he has been neglecting that, wasn't he? He knows his brothers were taking care of you but still.
The lack of sleep suddenly had caught up to him and he let out a yawn. You noticed and tugged his arm, asking him to go to bed. All you wanted was your big brother to sleep, you could see the tiredness in his eyes and you wanted to help. He stood up and took off all his gear before crawling up to the bed and faceplanted on the pillow you had quickly moved away from. You moved to cuddle up on Donnie, who moved to wrapped his arms around you almost protectively.
"You're lucky you're cute." He mumbled before you both went to sleep.
...
April perked up from the ping on her phone, signaling a message. She placed her pen down and opened her phone to see the message was from Mikey. She opened the message and realized it was a photo! Specifically, Donnie sleeping with his arms wrapped around you. You both looked content sleeping and you were wearing his hoodie.
April let a squeal and jumped up and down. You two looked so adorable! She couldn't help it. She looked at the photo again and her smile softened. He looked tired from the bags evident under his eyes and the smile on your faces was there. She knew you were a very sweet kid and you seem to have a knack for understanding emotions. Donnie must have been busy in his lab and you decided to take matters into your own hands. You've done that to her and it wasn't any surprise you would do it to him too. She started to type a message and sent it.
